Guest Reviews
- julie (10/5): Fabulous have stayed here twice and wouldn’t hesitate to book again - Beautiful property great outside space
Comfortable clean and everything you need is provided You definitely need a car
- Liam (9/5): Great size and private location - Great location and very well equipped. The villa was spacious and comfortable with a layout that worked well for groups, and there was good privacy between the bedrooms. The games room also doubles up as an extra bedroom which was really useful. The outdoor space and pool area were great for relaxing, and the property was clearly very well maintained. The A/C was very effective, the pool was cleaned regularly, and the neighbourhood felt quiet and safe. Check in was straightforward, the host/management were responsive and helpful, and it was a great base for exploring the west coast. There was also lots of useful information provided in the handbook. Only very minor points. The lighting in the bathrooms could be a little brighter, and it would be helpful if the handbook included a bit more information about the keys and how they work. It might also be useful to mention the availability of the backup hot water, as the main supply is solar.
- Robert (9/5): Excellent, relaxing stay. Good value for money. - Very spacious, very quiet and private, great pool. Good aircon. Great location to get to many bays and anywhere on the island. Bedroom curtains are very thin material that lets the light in and it wakes you up early. A few things could do with replacing for example shower head in master bedroom en-suite.
- Nicola (9/5): Superb -
- Virani (8/5): If you don't fancy staying in a resort, this place is really nice and close to the beach. - Hullaboo is a really nice villa, it is spacious and light, with a good kitchen and large sized bedrooms. All the bedrooms have air con which is a relief from the hot weather. All bathrooms are good sizes and the outdoor area is nice, comfy and clean. The pool, though not that big, was very clean and safe. Kitchen is equipped with all you might need to cook a meal at home. The property manager was around whenever we had a question and on hand if needed. The only thing that would have been nice was to have air con in the living space - however, we did acclimatise to the heat after a few days of being in the property.
- Steve (4/5): Could have been much more comfortable if basic necessities were provided. - It was clean and the living area and kitchen was spacious. Washing and drying machine excellent. Good location. The pool was tiny, the magic camera made it look huge. The pool surround was crumbling and stuck to you and trod in everywhere. The pool exterior needs repair/renewal. The living area had no air conditioning. I have heard this justified by guests leaving the doors open which wastes the electricity and cooled air. In reality, if you’re not using the pool to cool down, inside you need to retreat to the bedrooms to get cool enough. This uses at least 3 aircon units making it less efficient and more expensive in the long run. We live in Portugal so are used to the heat, but the humidity made it stifling and unbearable in the living area. Only 1 bedroom had proper curtains, the others had see through voiles making it difficult to sleep after sunrise. We were on holiday and did not wish to be woken early because of this. We were told to use towels/blankets to try and block out the light which was not successful. Not to have such a basic necessity is unacceptable. On top of this the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Because of these reasons we preferred to spend time away from the villa instead of being able to comfortably relax there.
- Derek (6/5): Resonable - The villa is a big area with nice outside areas, The main living area has no AC and is unbearable, we couldn’t sit in the room without having the doors open, and the the mosquito get in
- Wayne (9/5): Superb - The villa is great in a good location and very comfortable beds 😎 The main area gets very hot during the day and has no air con
- Catherine (9/5): Fantastic holiday home, with plenty of space, and an amazing pool and outdoor area. -
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Fantastic stay at a lovely and spacious villa. - Location, parking, space, swimming pool, games room, bbq and property services The main lounge area was really hot so maybe consider some A/C for that room.
- Christine (10/5): Great value, superb comfort and a fabulous location - We've been coming to Barbados for over 30 years and our family have grown up there as a home away from home and Hullabaloo offered just that this year. The property itself is fabulous and like any Bajan home is slightly weathered but it wraps itself around you and the price point is spot on - offering great value for money. Two huge double rooms and one twin room all with new air conditioning units and really comfortable beds. A large lounge/diner/kitchen area and outside dining as an option.
Its an amazing property in a great location being close to local friends, in easy distance of the beach and the family took a walk daily to Holetown where they joined a gym. It’s easily accessible, great parking and safe environment in Dairy Meadows which is a lovely residential area. On Sunday you are only a few metres stroll from the Holders Farmers Market where you can purchase locally grown fruit, veg & condiments, enjoy a bacon roll (cutter if you're Bajan) and purchase anything from locally made soap to paintings.
Hullabaloo is really well equipped in the kitchen with every possible implement available to aid your cooking and plenty of towels on hand for both the pool and bathroom. It has an amazing pool deck with comfy chairs and a very impressive BBQ. The media room, although not used a lot would have been extremely popular if the weather hadn’t been as good as it was.
The arrival of the housekeeper twice a week is a real treat, she was extremely friendly and helpful and worked like a whirlwind around the property. It also has the added benefit of a laundry so you can travel light!
If you book to stay at Hullabaloo you won't be disappointed. We've rented many properties over the years when our family have joined us and it ticked all of our boxes. Leaving to come home
- Anthony (10/5): Ideal spot to explore the west coast and some of the superb restaurants around - Superb property, everything you need for a fantastic holiday. Villa is beautiful and secluded not overlooked, would recommend a car as it is a good hike up the hill from the beach/main coastal highway. Nothing
- Oluwa (9/5): Superb - Excellent location and villa AC unit missing in the living room
