The house is very pleasant if you are looking for an old style of experience. The owner was very lovely and kind, she greeted us very well and provided fresh milk, eggs, bacon, butter and bread. - Doug (10/5): on our short list to revisit - We have travelled the world for 35 years and this is the first location where everything was already thought of. As Ithaca is more than 100 years old, with its stately high ceilings, large rooms, polished timber floors and 2 complete bathrooms (even with bath salts, can you believe) we found it represented the era perfectly and was presented spotlessly, it's as if someone lived there and kept it in pristine condition and just vacated it for people like us to enjoy. Had we realised the fridge and pantry were stocked with bread, eggs, milk, butter, cereal and the like we wouldn't have brought our own. The washing and drying facilities were good and the Hills hoist in the back yard added that extra bit of yesteryear. Deb has thought of everything to make one's stay a memorable event. The wi-fi, NETFLIX, Smart Tvs',were all user friendly. There was no shortage of hot water and the kitchen was fully fitted out with every appliance imaginable, not to mention the 2 fridges. All in all our 4 days with exceptional weather, left us with the need to return again.

The house was of an exceptional standard and very clean. It felt like a home away from home. There was nothing we didn't like or need.

- Turnbull (10/5): Ithica, a grand old lady and a great place to stay. - Ithaca is a gracious old home in a central location in Grafton NSW. The host is very generous and provided the ingredients for a lovely breakfast, bacon, eggs, bread and butter, milk of our choice and a range of jams and spreads. The house is well stocked with many extras like paper towel, extra toilet paper, large containers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There were racks of extra towels available for our use. The house is stunning, beautiful ceilings and timber floors, amazing antique furniture, There are two bathrooms, one is probably the loveliest bathroom I have seen, beautiful claw foot bath and antique fittings. Not mentioned in the description of the house is the fact that the second bathroom has a walk in shower which is important for us travelling oldies. A great base for us for the Jacaranda Festival.

Both bathrooms and kitchen completely stocked with anything you need including hair straighteners, make wipes, bathroom scales, coffee machine. Extremely comfortable beds and beautiful sheets.

All the rooms were decorated beautifully, historical feel was emulated throughout the entire house, making people think that we were back to the bygone era. It was a very comfortable state. highly recommended!

We didn't need to supply anything ourselves. There was nothing we didn't like. Everything had been thought of.

Granddaughter (9) was fascinated by the age of furnishings n ceilings...so enjoyed playing around. Very large, comfortable home.. Only problem was the dust we in counted on closing curtains n lounge pillows but a quick trip to chemist sorted the hayfever out....

We were supplied with eggs, bacon, bread, milk, juice, all the condiments and cereal. Fabulous location. Would definitely recommend this to any family. We had two nights in a very comfortable house. Will definitely be using this again. There was nothing not to like.
