• James (7/5): Sufficient place if you must stay in Tekapo - It sufficiently met the need for a comfortable stay in Lake Tekapo. Had some difficulty finding the unit as house addresses can be difficult to determine, especially arriving after dark - of which the host was very patient in assisting. Nothing against the unit per se, but if felt like all the prices in Lake Tekapo were inflated, a tourist trap if you will. Probably our least-value stay during our time in New Zealand.
• Amy (8/5): One bedroom apartment - The shower was fantastic ( massaging head) I chose the two single beds as I was staying with my mum. It was small but was okay for us for two nights. The washing machine and dryer came in handy after visiting the hotpools There was no even, just a couple of elements in the cupboard but if you plan to only eat out then this wouldn't be a problem.

• Petra (8/5): Comfortable apartment with good location - Convenient location, the apartment had everything necessary for our stay. The WiFi was not working very well, especially in the bedroom the connection got disrupted pretty often. I would also suggest changing the gravel access to the building as it is quite inconvenient.

• Katrina (5/5): - Good water pressure in the shower. The noise from upstairs travelled through the floorboards and made it difficult to sleep. The Wi-Fi was impossible, kept dropping out. The rubbish bin in bathroom was full when I arrived.

• Caterina (5/5): I found it easy to locate the key to get in but not so the guests upstairs who needed my help to understand the instruct - On a wet day it was great to have access to a dryer. The kitchen facilities were adequate. At the price that we were charged I would have expected a selection of toiletries, plunger coffee and a better view than the house across the street.

• Jolien (4/5): Slechte service in dure vies appartement - Locatie op kleine afstand van centrum Melding gemaakt dat huisje niet schoon was, rook naar sigaretten geur en vieze muren, spiegels, servies en te kort aan aanwezig servies. Bij vraag of ze wilden komen, kon dat de volgende dag. Beslist onprettig en niet professioneel! Daarnaast was dit de duurste accommodatie 480 dollar van 2 maanden reizen in Nieuw Zeeland. Dus een hele grote tegenvaller! We konden 100 dollar terug krijgen als schoonmaak vergoeding. We zijn niet akkoord , maar accommodatie reageert niet meer.
• David (8/5): A comfortable place to stay around Tekapo and Mt Cook - Clean comfortable and well appointed, we only stayed a couple of nights but you could stay longer in comfort. The town was just a short walk and you could take a short detour to walk along the lakeside to the chaple of the good shepherd. Tekapo is a destination in itself but also close to Mt Cook, Otago wine region and the West of the South Island.

• TravellingTina (9/5): Nice and cozy - Very cozy little studio. Everything was clean. Washing maschine and dryer free of charge. A real stove for cooking would be nice. But that is just a nice to have. You can prepare food there and do some basic cooking.

• Karen (5/5): - Location was great and there was off road parking if you got in first. If I compare to all other stays for our holiday in NZ, unfortunately this one fell short. There was only privacy if you closed all windows and curtains. Lower left studio is very noisy. The studio wasn’t clean in the kitchen and toilet areas. The bed was not prepared for our stay and was also very uncomfortable. So much so that we left a day early to stay elsewhere. If you are staying in the bottom right unit, the laundry is right against the bathroom wall which adjoins the bedroom and it’s very noisy. The owner/manager has put a sign up stating hours of use but this is totally disregarded by other guests.

• Meyers (4/5): Apart from the excellent cleanliness of the unit, we were most disappointed in areas as mentioned - The property overall was very clean The Bed ! The springs were very noisy every time you moved or rolled over they squeaked. The duvet was so thin as was the one in wardrobe, the pillows were average and one is very thin. Come on this is not acceptable. There was only one bath towel for each person for a 3 night stay ! No instructions to get TV to work No instructions to get the hot plates to work.

• Siew (8/5): A good place to spend the nights but not a place to prepare even simple meals. - Close to town centre, availability of parking, clean and spacious. Having shared laundry and dryer is a very big plus point. There is very minimal supply in kitchenette. Coffee was provided for first night stay but subsequently need to ask for supplies otherwise there is no top up.

There were some contact lenses on the night stand left from the previous guests. That was the only thing we have recognised but such things always give a slighly uncommon feeling about the cleaning status of the rest.

• K (9/5): A very comfortable stay at a clean house. Very good and exactly the same as in the photos. I left behind a power bank. T - Very convenient and close to the church of good shepherd. Easy to access. The key for opening the door to access the washing machine is a bit worn down. A bit difficult to open the door but it’s ok after few times of attempts

The following would have been usefu: Bread knife Frying pan Large saucepan for pasta Large Salad bowl Also, our ground floor unit lacked insulation from the apartment above. We were woken after midnight by latecomers who proceeded to talk on their phones until 1.30am.
• Ho (2/5): Horrible experience due to the bathroom condition, I would suggest others to think twice before booking. - Kitchen seems great, didn’t get a chance to utilise it since we decided to stay in Tekapo and check into this property last minute. The bathroom condition is horrible with hundreds of lake flies and different kinds of insects. We did complain this to the host but he said the lake flies are normal and part of the eco system, even after we submit a video. I do agree these lake flies maybe harmless (the host said they don’t even bite but it’s not true, we get bitten when taking the video). However, with the amount of them within the property, it is causing distress and how the host put responsibility back to us keeping the lights open is merely poor hospitality. Here it doesn’t allow me to upload a video, but everyone who see it will think it’s unsuitable for stay. Also apart of lame flies, there are other insects, even inside the sink cabinet. I suspect the property is not properly cleaned, or maybe idle for a while before we check into. And no one tends to it before our arrival because we book last minute. Other than the bathroom condition, the other facilities seemed to be fine.

We had the whole area to ourselves as the other units were not booked. We were able to stargaze on the deck by ourselves. It was very quiet and great location. Not much counter space in the bathroom. There was no padding on the ironing board. Please provide some napkins when a kitchen is provided.

It was great to be able to do the laundry without extra costs. Quite pricey but Tekapo is quite expensive overall.

Enjoyed our stay overall - Cleaning/setup was just finished when we arrived 30 mins after initial check-in time. - Laundry is shared with two other accommodations and we were unfortunately unable to do our washing on our last night as the other places got their first.

• May (8/5): Very good - I like the space as there’s a proper living room kitchen and a bedroom. The cleaning staff was very helpful as she was just there when we arrived and helped with the checked in with the keys and locked box which was slightly over whelming. She also recommended stars gazing which my friend enjoyed very much. Comfortable space Location is quite far from town 22 mins walk so it’s heavy with luggage. But lots of space in the room.
