Guest Reviews
- James (8/5): we would defiantly stay again - Location just on the beach coffee shop next door, had a lovely swim in the sea. used as a bed for 2 nights didn't try to cook, think we used 2 glasses :) dog friendly nothing comes to mind. we just used it as a bed for the 2 nights.
- Lauwerys (9/5): - Perfect location. Apartment was great for a two night stay. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom was spotless, and lounge area was so comfortable. No real negatives, but the tv was hard to negotiate but we got there in the end.
- Clair (6/5): - The bed was not comfortable for 2 so had to sleep on sofa
- Kirri (10/5): -
- Antoine (6/5): - Location is great Bed is small for 2 persons
No sponge available
The bean was not emptied when we arrived
- Jenkins (9/5): - Comfy, warm, close to the beach and amenities
- Juliet (5/5): -
- Clare (8/5): Cosy, clean and great location. - Cosy, clean and great location. Kitchen was well equipped and all towels, bedding supplied. Also had throws for the sofa and some games. No complaints, the property had everything we needed for our stay. No parking at the properly but there is a long stay car park a few minutes walk away and charges are reasonable.
- Sandra (7/5): Good location. - Was a nice setup. In the right location The damp smell as soon as u open the door right the way through the property, Very cold as no heating was on. .
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Tobiasz (9/5): -
- Thaila (5/5): - Good for short stays There was no parking for this property and car parks nearby become pricey . We began parking on the road by cemetery to aliviate some costs.
The bed was a small double and we found it more comfortable to sleep on the sofa bed instead. The property is on the main stretch of road so felt blinds and door had to be shut / locked for privacy.
- Craig 482 (9/5): -
- Emma (9/5): Excellent - It was in the key box
- Lane (10/5): Lovely home from home. - I like the location and the place.. its like a home from home. Had trouble getting oven.to heat .was just clock needed setting.. but once done all good.
- Kenno (10/5): Excellent - Cosy,comfortable
- Jones (9/5): Great place to stay - The home was lovely and clean for our arrival. Our host let us know that there had been some problems with previous holiday makers who had blown the lights but our host kept us informed about the electrician coming out.
It is in a great location for shops, and the beach. The lighting but the host explained what the issues were and got them fixed
- Stephanie (8/5): Very nice - The location was great clean and tidy Needs some tlc in the bathroom
General updating for the bath panel etc
Nothing major
- Deborah (9/5): Great location for a weekend stay to explore the area -
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Ian (8/5): Very enjoyable stay - Excellent central location Lack of parking at property
- Cunningham (6/5): Very well equipped, lovely and clean - Car parking facilities not brilliant
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (8/5): Great location near to everything we needed -
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): A comfortable 3-night stay in a pleasant ground-floor flat, in a lovely little seaside town. - Nice little ground floor flat, excellent location, with a pretty good range of amenities in the property. We did a little bit of simple cooking and food preparation, and used the wifi, Scrabble, and had a shallow bath which we filled using the electric shower as we didn't discover the hot water switch until we actually wanted to have a bath, when it would probably have been too late!! So, a perfectly adequate 3-night stay, which we very much enjoyed. The first thing which was a bit of a negative was the quality of the cutlery. On two occasions both of us caught the teaspoon on the edge of the coffee cup - difficult to explain but neither of us liked the handle design which had a chunky lip, causing us both to spill coffee granules. The other cutlery was 'cheap' and some had a looseness between the business end and the handle, rather than being solid metal and somewhat of a higher quality.
Secondly there was no lampshade on the bedside light which meant it was harsh, I modified this with a brown paper bag so we got subdued light which was reasonably easy to switch off from lying in bed.
Finally we tried to get hot water on the second evening as we wanted a bath, and as none was forthcoming, I looked in the notes and then found a message from the owner about how to switch it on in the cupboard in the bathroom - but by this time it was too late so we had a shallow bath using the shower to produce hot water. I used water from the kettle to wash plates and cups etc in the kitchen.
None of these issues detracted significantly from an enjoyable stay. Thank you.
- Lane (10/5): Turnstone a happy place. - The location was excellent . Inside very nice and homely and comfortable . water took a while to heat up . but once hot really nice..
- Jane (9/5): Enjoyable - The location was so close the sea front & esplanade, ideally situated for cafes, pubs, takeaways, Lidl’s, Tesco’s & other stores. The landlady, was polite & very helpful. The little flat was comfortable & everything you might need was available. N/A
- Kathy (7/5): Small but adequate for all we needed. - Clean, easy to collect keys, had everything we needed. Location - a bit shabby, main road. Felt a bit insecure.
- Sheila (9/5): Superb - Proximity to the town.
- Judith (6/5): Average accommodation, was hoping for really good. - Location perfect for us
Heaters heated up the rooms quickly, which was good as it was freezing weather at night The water was scalding hot!
The fridge wasn’t switched on, thought the light wasn’t working until food spoiled.
Utensils/ cutlery needed to be washed prior to using
Lighting very bright in the bedroom, lamp shades?
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Very handy for shopping 🛒 ⛱️ On downfall was no 🏞️
- Alexei (10/5): Was very nice the landlord was very helpful and kind - The location
- Parker (1/5): Worst one ever 😔 - The heater worked work well Where do i start , pulls up outside dirty dirty windows, hole in front door and a panel of second glazing missing , door canopy moldy , door frame full of dirt , first glance inside looks clean , but this is surface clean ,as soon as we moved a few things dust from under sofa bed started blowing , behind TV unit looked vile and the dirt had stuck to floor , moved footstool in bedroom dirt n mould , and the bathroom floor looked un mopped. First lie this is not a double bed it's a 3/4 quarter bed , an adults single , head board was lose and quilt so thin I checked it was in there.im disabled, whole in my tummy , i wear a brace all the time my only relief from this is to lie flat , bit hard in this bed with my 6ft3 16st hubby , if we knew the bed was this size we would never have booked. The condensation in this property is bad , when my friend found blankets for sofa bed they were damp. We thought the water on bathroom floor was from the 3 of us having a shower, no the loo was leaking , the water was trickling away under skirting board, the leak got worse then wouldn't flush , I informed the owner who said she would get a plumber out asp , I informed her we were using public loos at end of street , I informed her the loos had now closed and we didn't know what to do , she replied a plumber will be with you tomorrow morning, early morning my hubby had to relief himself 💩 in a carrier bag , I had to walk to tescos and beg the guard to let me in , I was in so much pain with my tummy, in the afternoon a plumber turns up , dosnt seem to know what he's doing , but offers to take dirty towels ??? And the plumber knew where the bin bags were ??? This gave me anxiety so I messaged the owner , she informed me the plumber was her husband , but there was illness in her family .. sad ... but what has this got to do with being sent a plumber ?? She lied to save penny's and left us with no loo !!
- Eaude (7/5): A smallish cottage which suited the two of us in our 70s well for a short break. - Quiet and close to the town centre and sea in a very beautiful part of the country. It was quite small- Ok for the two of us, but others might want more space.
- Sophie (4/5): I wouldn’t stay again. - Good location. Had a kitchen and bed was comfy if a little bit narrow. Nice to have sofa and tv. Shower was one of the worst I’ve used. No water pressure. Hot water wasn’t turned on and then when it was you still couldn’t run a bath.
Some of the utensils hadn’t been cleaned properly and same with the big pink blanket it had stains on it from before.
For the price I expected the bathroom facilities and cleanliness to be a lot better.
- Matthew (9/5): Great weekend break in Seaton -
- Tomsk (9/5): October getaway - Lovely little holiday getaway, small but everything you really need in a place. Very cosy and comfortable, and well heated. Good kitchen and a clean bathroom. Great communication from owner Rather small ones but the bed was rather narrow for a double, would probably be a bit thin for larger people. A couple of the lamps could do with shades but that is a real nitpick
- Alan (9/5): Seaton Holiday - In short, small but perfectly formed. Had everything we needed. Our only complaint was that the supplied cutlery wasn't clean and we had to wash up before we could eat. Otherwise, all was good.
- Sainsbury (9/5): Superb - Very helpful, love to stay again
- Sylvia (5/5): Reasonable for couple of nights not any longer. - Location was good although traffic was loud. Very small, dated and hot. Couldn’t open windows as too noisy no fan.
- Glenn (9/5): I enjoyed my stay very much and my dog also loved the accommodation - The location was excellent close to everything you need and 2 minute walk from the bus and tram stops so exploring surrounding area is very easy and convenient a great place for you and your dog to stay
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (7/5): The property was small and compact and had everything we needed. It was delightful. -
- Abi (9/5): Superb - Loved the location of the apartment, great for the beach, shops, pubs and eateries. Really liked Seaton and would recommend walking down to Axminster Harbour and watching sunset, seeing the swans and the boats, fisherman etc.
The host was extremely nice and helpful adjusting check in time for us and very quick to get in touch with replies. The only negative I can say is the bed is too small, it would be better to have a full sized double or squeeze a queen size in there. Everything was wonderful though and would stay here again.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Ideal spot to explore the area, and all necessary amenities very close by. No additional charge for our 2 dogs, and excellent comms and info from host leading up to our stay. Unable to find the stated hairdryer (more of an issue for my gf than me!) And no soap in the bathroom. The latter was obviously easy to rectify.
- Chris (8/5): A very nice stay - Location was very conveniant for the event i was attending. The property was well equipped with everything and very comfortable
- Alan (7/5): Good -
- Tony (7/5): Me and my wife are carers so we need short breaks away. We liked this accommodation as it’s close to everything and sel - Close to the sea and shops Bed mainly and cutlery need replacing . Heating take a while to warm the rooms up.
- Bliss (5/5): Only stayed one night not the 2 nights - Quite a cute place but there's no parking only in public car park so you have to pay more money to park plus I'm disabled and struggle to walk si wasn't good for me The cleaning wasn't very good plates and cups in cupboard was dirty and sofa smelt of urine so had to spray it and cover it before you could sit on it
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our stay here. It was very comfortable , and the decor was stylish. Well equipped kitchen
Good location, near all amenities.
- Gary (7/5): Good - The location is good, handy for shops and seafront.
The apartment had everything that we needed. Nothing.
- S (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (8/5): Great location, a clean, well equipped, comfortable one bedroom apartment. - Central location close to the sea and close to shops and restaurants. Well equipped apartment, very clean and comfortable. Dog friendly, which is essential for us and our elderly Labrador. We are senior citizens and to be picky, the sofa was quite low. I expect youngsters wouldn’t have a problem.
- Henry (7/5): Mainly comfortable. Beautiful weather! - No welcome pack so had to message the owner to find out how to get hot water and use the cooker. Initial difficulty with shower, quickly resolved. Would have been nice to have details of the local area and feel welcomed to the property and any instructions pertaining to the property.
A net or blind would be nice at bedroom window as it looks on to public area.
- Marilyn (7/5): Good - Good position good facilities Bed was a really small double which because of our age caused us a bit of a problem.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracey (8/5): Very good - Easy location to find Lack of dog friendly facilities at Seaton
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Really close to seafront and lovely decor.
- Hill (9/5): The apartment was clean and well kitted out but the state of the duvet let it down. - The location was good for ease of getting to other places. However it wasn't as pretty as the neighbouring villages While the apartment had everything in it that you would need for a short stay, there were some light bulbs not working. Also we had to contact the owner as there was no hot water when we arrived but this was soon remedied. As it was quite hot in the bedroom, we took the duvet out of the cover on the last night of our stay and just slept under the cover. We were very disappointed to see that the duvet was grubby and stained. I left a note to say that we weren't happy with this.
- Stokes (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Fantastic little cottage. Perfect for 2 people and very clean. - It was very clean and comfortable. Nothing
- Richard (5/5): Noisy - Property is middle of two building sites new Aldi being built next door and another site at rear I was woken up every morning of my stay with building noise not my idea of a quiet break.!!!
- Jus (9/5): lovely apartment - very quaint and clean.
