Janet (8/5): A great location, and a lovely interesting old house, we all enjoyed ourselves. - Spacious sleeping accommodation, with lots of bathrooms, plenty of hot water. Warm and cosy even during even the very cold weather. Separate living room for elderly disabled family member was a godsend, as he could have some respite from the lively grandchildren. The lovely wide entrance hall, coat hooks and shoe rack worked brilliantly for our slightly messy extended family. I would normally expect some washing up liquid, dishwashing brush, maybe more than one J cloth for cleaning, spare bin liners, even an emergency tbag on arrival. Oh, and handsoap in the downstairs cloakroom would be nice. These small things would make the place more welcoming and would not cost a great deal. I have found much, much more than this in other places I have stayed. The cookers, sink, fridge (tiny!), and dining table in four separate rooms took a lot of getting used to. The electric cooker needed attention, there was a lot of oil on the oven floor which was not of our making.
