Zowel de omschrijving op de website als de foto's kwamen overeen met de realiteit, het overtrof zelfs onze verwachtingen! De omheinde tuin, het zwembad, de inrichting van het huis, de koelcel, het aanwezige wasmachine/droogkast, de gastvrijheid; heel erg moeilijk om te kiezen wat ons het meeste beviel!

• Karen (9/5): - Het was heel proper, vriendelijke ontvangst. Het verblijf is tip top in orde. Weinig tot geen kasten om je kleding weg te leggen.
• Eric (9/5): - Eigen badkamer, ruime keuken, extra koelcel, ruim zwembad met koepel, speeltuigen buiten, gastvrijheid eigenares, gasbbq,..... kortom een goed uitgerust verblijf Slechts 1 grote handdoek per persoon voor 3 nachten, extra kleine handdoek zou mooi zijn. Tafelvoetbalspel is betalend (1 euro per spel)

There are few improvements that can be considered. - - Clean house with good furniture and bedding. - Each bedroom has its own toilet and bathroom - Large windows and screens - The bathroom and toilets in each room does not have a door, this was quite difficult if you plan to stay with your friends. - The pool was clean but the water was not bleached, it was salty and looks like it needed a replacement - There was a soccer table game in the house and we had to pay 1 EUR to use it each time (for 10 balls), this was quite weird as this should be free to use in such a large property - Although the property is listed as private, the family of the host lives in the same building, there are doors within the building that gives access to each house. This really did not bother us as we visited as a group of friends, but still a point to note.

• Daria (10/5): The house, its amenities, the location and the beer brewed by Valerie are perfect! - The house was very clean and light, the greatest thing was that every bedroom had its own bathroom and was perfectly isolated. We also enjoyed a huge refrigerator and the BBQ. The hosts were lovely and always ready to help and answer our questions. And we also find the beer produced by Valerie and the homemade chips fantastic! The village itself is also very neat, cozy and friendly, lots of cows, horses and other animals 😊
• Lance (10/5): Amazing summer vacation at Hulstehof - Firstly, this is an amazing place for a family vacation. Perfectly appointed and taken care of by the owner. We stayed at Hulstehof the first week of August 2024, and I would like to address the review left by the visitors the week before our arrival (posted 31st July 2024). This review is full of misinformation and appears to be an attempt to make a case for a refund for booking unsuitable accommodation. Firstly, there is no privacy concern. Yes, the daughter of the owner does stay on the property but we did hear one sound from her side of the property. Additionally, although her side of the property does have windows overlooking the pool, the curtains are never opened. She also indicated that they do not open these curtains to ensure privacy. Secondly, the comment about the pool is absolutely false. There is no strange shape ("atypical bottom") - it is approximately 1.3m throughout, completely flat bottom. Our 7 year old daughters were perfectly fine and had a great time in the pool. The beds are slightly higher than normal, but not that abnormal. Perfectly fine for kids as well. Also, there is no issue with the broadband speed! We had an amazing stay at Hulstehof and would definitely recommend it for family vacations
• Dominika (2/5): It was traumatizing and the most dissapointing stay in Belgium over the last 15 years - It has airconditioning and big dining table No privacy; the daughter of the owner apparently lives in the same house separated only by a door in the living room. That door is not soundproofed you can hear everything talking, calls, cutlery, coffee machine as if they are standing next to you in the room. See picture Moreover the part of the house in which the daughter lives overlooks the whole back garden in which the pool located. The pool is not a standard pool, it is a structure which was redone as a pool and has an atypical bottom as a cone. It is not suited for little children or disabled as you cannot stand or easily get in or out. We wonder whether the pool meets the safety criteria for pools. See picture Moreover If you are disabled or have trouble walking please note that : the beds are really high it is not possible to get in from a wheelchair position. A person who is not disabled and has a height of 1.65 cm needs to jump a bit to get in. The living room has no normal sofa, but 8 bean bags and one loveseat. A house of that size should have a normal sofa. Bean bags are for kids. The wifi is not broadband and is slower than the standard 4 G. No welcome basket. Everything is charged even the soccer table and crisps 2 euro each. The above is not clear from the description given on booking and should be mentioned so that people are aware what they are booking. See picture We had booked for 5 days, but left after one day because of the above. We could not stay with my parents who are elderly and one of them disabled. They could not get into the beds nor sit properly and waited until morning so that we could leave. It ruined the whole holiday and my parents were distressed for days. We settled with the help of booking.com and paid for 2 days. It was traumatizing and the most disappointing stay in Belgium over the last 15 years.
