• Yasmin (4/5): - Die Pool Party mit der geworben wird ist nur einmal die Woche sonst ist da nichts los für ein Social Hostel hatte ich mehr erwartet. Kaum Community activities und generell eine sehr spannende Atmosphäre würde ich sagen. Bei uns im bad im Zimmer Bad hang ein Schild mit so einem Infoschild das kein Spaß zu sein schien „feel free to piss outside on any tree you like“. Und für ein Hostel in Nicaragua war es doch eher teuer. Essen an der Bar war allerdings sehr gut.

• maybel (8/5): - Me quede una sola noche por lo conveniente de la localidad. Es un hostal de party, o al menos a mi me toco en Miercoles que tienen su fiesta semanal de musica electrónica en ese dia. El lugar como tal es bellisimo mucha naturaleza y salida al lago baños muy limpios y se siente una vibra muy de bosque. Los cuartos si se sienten muy extraños. Demasiado desorden y poco cuidados. Ademas del hecho de que las camas son jaulas literalmente jaulas. Cuentan con ventilador. Adaptadores y lampara ademas de su respectivo locker. Siento que es mas enfocado en gente en sus early twenties. Tienen muchas actividades. La comida que venden es buena. El internet tambien y el area de piscina es buena. Con ellos puedes bookear moto y taxi Las camas son jaulas.

• Mina (9/5): I really liked that the beds and windows were covered in mosquito netting. I heard before i went to Ometepe that many ho - No bugs in the rooms! A personal little fan for each bed:) Nice restaurant with good breakfast and good pizza! There was a bunch of wasps and small flies around the common area, which could be a bit annoying at times. Would also have been a plus if they had a kitchen! bur restaurant was good, and not too expensive so it was fine for a couple of days!

• Nicolina (8/5): Bra vibes, trevligt ställe - Privatrummen var toppen, lugnt och skönt och bra att de låg långt från ”festområdet”. Kul att man fick en liten pool med. Restaurangen var bra. Snällt av personalen att de erbjöd sig hantera kryp om man behövde hjälp. Mycket spindlar :( och väldigt varmt. Ganska lyhört mellan rummen. AC hade varit trevligt.

• Fabienne (8/5): Sehr zufrieden ! - Das Hostel lässt mit seiner Anlage keine Wünsche offen. Mittwochs findet die angesagte Wet Wednesdayparty hier statt. Während meines Aufenthalts war es daher leider nicht möglich nochmal zu verlängern. Besucher*innen sollten also wissen dass es um den Mittwoch immer voll wird. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Bäder sauber.

• Jan-Philip (8/5): - Super coole Unterkunft, die sogar ein kleines Gym hat. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und das Personal ist super. Es gibt keine Küche für Gäste, sodass man sich kein eigenes Essen machen kann.
• Yomaira (8/5): Comfy beds and great location. Well maintained and social yet still quiet when you need it. - Good location in the right part of Ometepe. While this is considered the party hostel, I found it still relaxing and enjoyable as the dorm rooms are located away from the bar. Bar area has the swimming pool, pool table, plenty of seating areas, restaurant, small gym, and a poker table. Bed: The “cages” around the beds were actually really nice, I felt literally protected from the bugs, bed was comfortable and clean, and it felt cozy to have my own little pod like space. The room was big and clean, lots of airflow too. Each dorm room has a locked door for safety and is near the bathrooms/showers Toilets/Shower area was okay. cold water only with mixed pressure but got the job done. Yes there are bugs but in my time there I didn’t run into anything too crazy and they leave you alone. I think it would be an easy fix if they installed insect nets over the shower walls and the doors were kept closed. Different people saw bigger bugs in the rooms and showers so be prepared for it but again, they look scary but don’t actually get near you. And the hostel staff says they will catch them for you if you ask. One morning they didn’t have water in the dorm area.

• Alexandre Berube (10/5): - This hostel is exceptional on all levels! Cristopher the manager and Charly the co-owner are a 100% hands on deck to make everything perfect for guests to have a good time. Staff at bar and reception are really friendly, cheers to Jose, Danny and Lis for their continuous great service. Overall this is a huge 5 stars for me, the ambiance feels really energetic from early morning to late night. They are also well known for their Wet Wednesday parties which i had to DJ for as a volunteer and it was a blast 🔥

Aber leider mit schrecklichem Personal, das mich mit Arroganz und Andersartigkeit behandelte, weil ich nicht der typische Tourist mit blauen Augen oder heller Haut war, ich meine ... sie sahen sich mit großer Gleichgültigkeit an und keiner von ihnen machte sich die Mühe, mich zu fragen, was mir angeboten wurde oder ob ich eine Reservierung hatte, bis ich sie nach 2 Minuten fragte ... wer mich bedienen würde ... Sie machten weiter mit ihren Witzen und Scherzen und glaubten, mir überlegen zu sein, bis einer von ihnen mich ernst nahm. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass sie nur auf das Trinkgeld aus sind 😄 Ich hatte für zwei Tage reserviert, um mir den Ort anzusehen, und bevor ich verlängerte, zog ich es vor, zu stornieren und in ein anderes Hostel ganz in der Nähe von Magdalena zu ziehen. Sehr nette Leute 🤗 muy bonito y buena ubicación , ambiente divertido. pero lamentablemente con pésimo personal de trabajadores , los cuales me trataron con arrogancia y indiferencia, por no ser el típico turista con ojos azules o piel clara, osea ... me miraban unos a otros con gran indiferencia y ninguno se tomó la molestia de preguntarme que se me ofreció o si tenía una reservación , hasta que despues de 2 minutos les pregunté ...quién me va a atender..siguieron con sus bromas y chistes creyéndose superior a mí hasta que uno de ellos me tomó en cerio. me da la impresión que solo están por la propina 😄 reservé por dos dias para ver el lugar y antes de extender preferí cancelar y moverme a otro hostal muy cerca de allí magdalena. muy buenas personas 🤗 schreckliches und inkompetentes Personal! pésimo personal de trabajadores e incompetentes!

• Olivia (8/5): Top choice in Ometepe - I think Raindance is a must stay in Ometepe. Its facilities are great, with lots of common areas, rooms are huge and it has a pool. It also hosts a party on Wednesdays so it's convenient to be staying there if you want to go. It's very social, everyone I knew was staying there. I was between this hostel and another, but ultimately chose Raindance because of the mosquito-net cages, and am happy to have done so. Ometepe has many bugs and animals and I felt safe from any unwanted visitors during the night. That peace of mind is amazing. Very hot in the rooms in the morning, but you do get individual fans which help out for a comfortable night of sleep.

• Lara (8/5): Quick stay in Ometepe - Great location and staff super helpful for organising tours and advising. Apparently a good party on Wednesdays but we missed it unfortunately. There are a lot of mosquitos and bugs (although, to be expected given location on lake island with many trees). It was very hot but the room did have loads of fans to try to keep us cool.

• Luke (10/5): Perfect stay for Ometepe. Central to a lot of the key things to see and do. Great party! - We stayed in one of the new private rooms which had a bathroom. Nice distance from the party on a Wednesday so no issues with sleeping. Staff were super helpful. Easy to rent a scooter at the accomodation to get to all the main sights.
• Johanna (4/5): Not for the weak. - Community areas were nice. Food was decent. We had a scorpion in our room the first night which was probably the result of the huge gap under our bedroom door. Since the rooms don’t have actual windows or whole walls it was very humid in the rooms which made even the sheets feel sticky. The owners and staff were friendly except for one volunteer from Denmark who was not only rude and obviously intoxicated from drugs but also insulted us in a sexually harassing way.

Some helpful items like more hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful. The food was okay not a great price value. Booking tours be activities were very intransparent. Even it was said guides were bilingual - it was not the case.

• Yewande (9/5): Superb - The hostel is clean and staff members did a good job overall. I found the staff to be really helpful and effective problem solvers. The Wednesday party meant I did not have to figure out a way back after and the music cannot be heard in the room. They do excellent food and there are a few decent places nearby for food and drinks. It is cash only at Raindance and in fact, in most places on the island. It would have been helpful if this was made known before arrival so guest can be fully prepared.

• Luke (10/5): Wish I never had to leave. Fell in love with everything! I miss it already - Out of all my years travelling, I’ve never found somewhere that has ticked literally every box. It’s so clear that the owners have spent many years backpacking as everything has been thought of from a back packers perspective. As well as amenities, the vibe is so goooood. The chilled nights are chilled and the party nights are banging. The music and food, the staff, the location, everything! Thank you soooo much to Charlie, Styx and the gang for looking after me and attending to my every need. I’m so gutted I had to eventually leave. Love and appreciate you guys! May we meet again! I reccomend rain dance to everyone. I can’t think of anything right now. I think for a hostel that hasn’t been open for too long, these guys are SMASHING it! I can’t wait to see what raindance becomes a few years from now. Incredible!
