Guest Reviews
- Morena (9/5): - La gentilezza di Joy e Andrew e la loro accoglienza.
- hawkins (10/5): - Friendly and very homely not like a commercial setting There was nothing I didn't like
- Paul (9/5): - Friendly welcoming hosts and a clean, cosy and comfortable room.
- Sheila (9/5): A very comfortable stay with friendly owners and lovely breakfast. - The owners were very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast was very comprehensive and fresh. Other drinks were offered at other times too. The property was quite large. My room wasn’t large but the bed was extremely comfortable and all facilities were there. The facilities were as advertised.
- jeff (8/5): Considering it was a business trip in a very short time it felt like you were visiting friends! - The breakfast for me was very good as I don't have cooked first thing so the continental was great. I liked the homely atmosphere of the owners who are splendid hosts. Its a great base to work from as the area is surprisingly expensive so its a little gem for those on a budget. The property is quaint and charming and the hosts make you welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend and will use again when in the area. There wasn't anything I didn't really like, as a seasoned traveler its was as I was expecting a B&B but with soul character and charm. If I had 1 negative it would be signage when first locating the premises, if you were looking for it in winter months it might be a tad challenging when darker nights set in.
- Michael (6/5): Very nice people but poor fastsil - It was continental don’t like that prefer proper cooked breakfast. No on sweet shower room downstairs lovely people but wouldn’t stay again The bedroom was excellent comfortable bed but no on sweet
- Gary (8/5): - Very friendly, great people bed was.comfy
- Daniel (10/5): - Great stay, friendly and helpful owners, tasty and filling breakfast
- Alessandro (10/5): Ottima accoglienza - Soggiorno molto gradevole, Joy è veramente una padrona di casa accogliente e disponibile, tutto è andato alla perfezione. Colazione ottima! Niente
- Maciej (10/5): Nice place, nice owners, good breakfast - Everything
- John (9/5): Stop off en route to visit friends en route to Penzance / Isles of Scilly - Joy certainly lived up to her name and her husband whose name escapes me was also a very pleasant gentleman. The house was full of character . Their pet dog and car were full of character and made it homely. John and Margaret ( Gore ). Not applicable
- kevin (10/5): - The owners are very friendly and happy for you to use their kitchen if you wanted to cook for yourselves. They are very inviting people and we would stay again
- Heijningen (7/5): Heerlijk gastvrij verblijf. - De gastvrijheid van de gastvrouw. We moesten even wennen aan de overdaad aan kamertjes en decoraties
- Frédéric (10/5): -
- Martin (10/5): We needed to book something at the last minute and this worked perfectly for us,Joy was a wonderful host very friendly, - very clean comfortable bed, slept well
- Marcus (10/5): Great personal little B&B - A fantastic stay with very friendly hosts and a delicious breakfast.
- Ismail (10/5): Very very very nice stay - Amazing old cottage
Very friendly hosts
- Mhl (10/5): Comfortable friendly family home. - Wonderful, comfortable family home, with lovely, friendly hosts. They have very well behaved family pets and their home is situated on a hill with views over the Cornish countryside. I was made to feel very welcome which after a long, last minute journey was such a relief. The room was very comfortable, and everything had been thought of, from a kettle and mini fridge for milk, to a robe and slippers. Joy made me a delicious breakfast too which set me up for the day.
The bathroom is downstairs, but that is normal in homes of this age. The shower was very good and there is an upstairs loo. Everything was very clean. Nothing was too much trouble and they even adjusted the breakfast for my allergies. I felt very privileged to have the opportunity to stay in such a warm and quirky home. Nil. Google maps directs you to the back - so just be aware of that. Its right by the turning. Joy had given me her number and came out to direct me which was a relief.
- Amanda (10/5): Joy by name Joy by nature - We have just had a wonderful three night stay at Redmore. Joy lived up to her name and was an absolute delight. She could not have done anything more to make our stay more comfortable or pleasurable. She is a wonderfully chatty and engaging host and with her husband made us very much at home from home. The house is a converted terrace of cottages which is quaint and colourfully decorated. The bedroom although not big is very comfortable and everything you could want was provided. The cottage is beautifully clean and it was a pleasure to sit outside and enjoy the garden and cup of tea on arrival. I can't say we didn't like it but this is just to make it clear that the bathroom is the shared family bathroom which is downstairs. The bathroom was large with lovely walk in shower with a full bath if wanted. The quirky decor provided a lovely ambiance and homely setting
- Stuart (10/5): Lovely people and very helpful and supportive. - The breakfast was really nice, continental breakfast.
Very clean and tidy.Nice and quiet.
Very understanding and helpful hosts.
A bonus was the pets. I love animals, especially cats !! Nothing.
- Geoffrey (8/5): Very good - The people wer very welcoming and friendly.
The room was very clean with all facilities that i required.
The breakfast was good and included pastries, toast, cereals. Im not sure if a cooked breakfast was a option but i didnt ask. The shared bathroom was along way from the bedroom, but this wasnt a problem for a short stay.
- V (1/5): Uninviting and absent - Accommodation wasn't available, the owners were out when I arrived and so I made other arrangements ad the place was unkempt and messy anyway so probably best I didn't stay there No one there on arrival, said she would be another 2 hours after check in, place is a private dwelling with no parking on a busy narrow road and in an unkempt state, not at all inviting and cat paraphernalia put me off as I'm allergic to cats if they live in the house.
- Libby (9/5): Homely stay with a big luxurious bed. - Clean and cosy stay with lovely hosts. We were made very welcome and provided for generously. You do have use of two bathrooms which was a nice surprise. Sat nav is tricky but we got there in the end!
- Yadhu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olumba (10/5): I had a wonder host, an amazing couple with warmly spirit. The property was well cleaned and I had a good time staying f - It’s ambiance
And appreciation for nature.
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent host's
Home from home.
Very comfortable.
- Barbara (9/5): Incredibly friendly home stay - Incredibly friendly hosts in a gorgeous property. They really make you feel at home. Their breakfast options are fantastic. Joy and Andrew really couldn’t do more for you and are consummate hosts. The place is spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable.
If you have allergies, you should be aware that they have three gorgeous cats and a super friendly little dog, who we completely fell in love with. We felt incredibly welcome. It’s a home stay, so you’re living in someone else’s home with them, sharing their space. Because it’s such a unique, characterful building, it has its quirks in its layout and the bathroom (which you’re sharing with your hosts) is downstairs and off the kitchen, so you’re going to have to traipse through the house every time you want to shower.
- Gerald (10/5): A really great three night stay! - Hosts were very pleasant, helpful and flexible, which made for a great stay!
Location was quiet overnight despite being relatively close to the road.
Would be happy to stay here again. Nothing!
- Carole (10/5): I'll be back with my partner for a longer stay. - Joy and Andrew were very friendly and helpful. Made to feel welcome, cozy accommodation.
Enjoyed spending time with them, lovely breakfast.
Convenient spot for visiting Cornwall.
I will definitely go back. Nothing.
- Oskar (10/5): Exceptional - The landlords were very nice and helpful with everything. Joy and Andrew created a very cosy full in love house. Animals are very friendly and make your stay more enjoyable. I will definitely go back there again.
- Michael (1/5): Bad -
