Guest Reviews
- Alistar (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (7/5): Good location but not if it's cold - Property was a good size, and had all the basics you'd expect. It's in a very good location only a couple of minutes from the beach and local amenities. View out the window is over Aldi car park but it wasn't noisy and tbf having Aldi so close was handy. Overall had what we needed.
There's plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways in Seaton. Weather was pretty awful so didn't get out a lot but did the tram and trip to Lyme Regis that were both good. They do a park run on the promenade which was one of the reasons we went. Arrival / departure times weren't great - can't arrive until 4 and out by 10. If there was Netflix on the TV I couldn't work it out, which I'd expect as standard now.
The main issue was the cold. The property was freezing when we arrived. Not "oh it's a bit chilly" - I mean get the duvets off the beds to sit under on the sofa. I don't know if they hadn't had it on for a while, but there was basically no heat at all on the first day and night (in February half term). It eventually got warmer but never felt great, I don't think the radiator is strong enough to heat the fairly large living space. Also the entrance has a radiator with a sticker on saying "only the landlord can turn this on" so all the corridors were freezing as well. Just felt like penny pinching when it's not a budget property.
- Richard (8/5): Excellent location to enjoy the delights of Seaton within walking distance. - Location was excellent. Well appointed apartment. Cookies on arrival a treat. Parking permit. Some cutlery/cooking utensils had dried food on. Sound-proofing of flat above or just unlucky to have heavy footed residents?
