Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (10/5): Beautiful town house, excellent location. - Lots of space, central location, clean and perfect for our trip.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Jonathan (7/5): - Open plan and very spacious place. No heating from the radiators under floor heating helped had to go buy two fan heaters for the rooms
Shower head was brown with limescale carpets need a good clean and the rugs
Had to clean the shower head before I could use it
- Kelly (10/5): - Spacious accommodation and very comfortable.
- Michelle (8/5): The location was perfect for walking in and out of Cheltenham. We lived the entertaining space. We would return. - The location and the main entertaining space Elements of it were starting to feel a little tired. Shame there is no parking directly outside and it’s up the narrow road.
- Muhammad (10/5): I will give 5 star - It was clean and all the facilities and even everything was available and happy property Very close to the town and peaceful atmosphere around
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Frank, ireland (7/5): Good - Location was very good but the beds were a bit small and had no option to make them single beds so not suitable for 6 individuals to stay. Lack of towels and the heating instructions need to be updated.
- Claire (5/5): Some lovely features, particularly the shower, but the issue with the flies ruined our stay - Unfortunately when we arrived the property was full of flies. It was obviously a known problem as someone had sprayed them and a lot were dead on the floor. The large window in the lounge we were unable to close despite reading the instructions so they kept coming in. In the end we left early.
- Byard (7/5): A couple of little tweaks and this place would be perfect. Better Wifi and air con unit for summer - They lay out was very good, 3 separate rooms and a big bathroom, Kitchen/Living area is very chilled out a spacious. Has all the kitchen utilities you need ETC. The Wifi was none existent in the down stairs bedrooms and the back bedroom has no ventilation, having to park away from the property was not ideal having to carry all our work gear to and from the vehicles but this cant really be avoided due to the location
- Martyn (5/5): Only thing available at short notice Wouldn’t use again - Query No parking overlooked on all sides down a narrow lane full of bins
- Jenny (8/5): Good except dealing with a management company so their priority is making money and charging for everything. Check in no - Cool layout and comfortable The glass roof meant it was very hot in the house with no way of cooling it down (fan provided but made no difference). The check in was not until 5pm unless you paid more. You had to pay a deposit of £250 by external link through email.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (2/5): Very poor - The house seems to be a converted garage. It has been done very well and very clean and modern. The location of this property is awful. It is located down a tight back lane to the rear of all the surrounding house garages. I was told by the property not to park on that lane as the neighbours complain and to leave our van at the end on the main street. I complied with what they asked and left the van on the main road at the end of the lane. The morning after our first night, we walked down the lane only to find the van window had been smashed in and a load of my tools stollen. I spoke to one of the neighbours to ask if they had cctv, and she said they don't have any on that road and that break ins happen every other day there.
- Jennifer (6/5): A lovely property with a few downsides - The sitting, kitchen and dinning area is exceptional. Really great space for a group of people and plenty of dishes, cutlery etc provided. The entire apartment is also very light and spacious.
It is also so close to a selection of lovely cafes and restaurants and isso close to the centre of Cheltenham. This property is done through a 3rd party, meaning despite booking.com having all my details I also had to provide them to this other company and pay a deposit, which I was not happy about. Also if you go via booking.com the check in is set at 5pm. If you want earlier you have to pay extra. If you book via this other company you get a 3pm check in.
We had asked for the sofa bed to be made up and booked for 7 people. This was not done, luckily the 7th person had dropped out, but if they had been there, we would have had to contact the hosts. I would also say the sitting area is not usable as a bedroom as there is a huge skylight and no blinds, so anyone sleeping there is up with the sun.
The property also lists car parking for 1 car. There is no car parking allocated, it is all street parking, although there was plenty around.
The bedroom upstairs is accessed via a ladder staircase and the bathroom is downstairs so whoever sleeps there needs to be mobile and careful.
Finally some of the mattresses need replacing. The 2 single ones feel very springy and sag in places.
- Nia (5/5): Pleasant once warm! - Property was clean and location for exploring Cheltenham was great.
Host was very responsive to our problems so thank you for that! Unfortunately we stayed on the coldest weekend of year and underfloor heating had not been turned on prior to our arrival so the first evening was absolutely freezing in the open plan room (bedrooms thankfully warm).
Late check in at 5pm and not pleasant trying to find property down a dark alley.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Great property, located a short walk away from the town centre. Has everything you need for a great stay, a modern and spacious place with a great entertaining area.
- Pawan (8/5): Happy Stay at Clean and full of facility house !!! - Cleanliness, comfort and too good facilities. Approach gate, which is on back side.
- Karen (6/5): Lovely home but hosts let it down. - Lovely comfortable space, down a lane so very quiet. 25 min walk into Cheltenham and some great amenities on the doorstep. Given how many the property can sleep, the kitchen needs more equipment. Particular the oven which only has one shelf for cooking. We were doing pizzas for four people but had to cook one at a time. Whilst the instruction manuals are helpful to have, a simple how to guide on things like the oven would save a lot of time - even just what all the dials mean. It was clean enough but not as sparkling as other properties I have stayed.
However my biggest complaint are the hosts. The whole experience felt very impersonal and money grabby. There’s no explicit mention of the need for a £250 deposit when booking and given we were staying two nights this was more than half of our overall booking costs which didn’t feel reasonable. I’ve never been asked for that when staying in other home rentals and instantly gives the impression of mistrust. The check in and check out emails very not especially friendly and just sought to elicit more money, early check in/late check out costing £40/50, book a taxi, buy shopping. Three emails in one day about checking out is excessive. These things may well be helpful but the manner in which they were offered and some of the phrasing did not give a good impression.
- Helen (10/5): Nice accommodation, and location within was walking to town centre. - Excellent accommodation. Had everything we needed. Property stated it had parking, but it hasn’t. We had to park out on the road.
- Helen (10/5): Wonderful accommodation on a quiet back street - Beautiful accommodation, plenty of space and good facilities provided. Comfy beds. Bright and airy. Excellent accommodation for a friend's catch up and I'm sure we'll stay again. Off the main road so quiet at night. A couple of extra mirrors for getting ready would be a bonus!
- Jacqueline (3/5): Poor value . Pictures deceptive. - Internet not working. Dishwasher not working. Oven temperature dial couldn’t be turned. No coffee machine. Access to property an alley behind houses where they store bins. Parking in side streets. Not very clean.
- Craig (7/5): Please could you refund my ₤250 deposit??? - Nice modern finishes The timeous repayment of my deposit, which I still haven't received???
- Melanie (10/5): Lovely place to stay. You wont be disappointed - Lovely place to stay .It was all booked last minute (actually on the day) and it all went very smooth to check in.
Joy was very helpful and repsonded to me almost immediately when i had any questions. nothing
- Clare (6/5): Beautifully appointed property but disappointingly located down a back alley in lovely Montpellier. Stay marred by lack - Property was beautiful & well equipped but not suitable for young children due to unusual staircase. Lovely kitchen & bathroom. Wi-fi didn’t work & mobile signal poor, making it impossible to arrange anything, do any work or watch TV.
Very poor communications … questions went unanswered. No contact details in property. Eventually raised agent to come out to look at wifi but couldn’t resolve. Promised to contact owners & ring back but hasn’t.
Property was located in messy back lane full of garages, bins & rubbish … no other houses.
- Anonymous (10/5): Recharged, envigorated, relaxed and felt welcome. I highly recommend this host and property. - We had just left a horrible place falsely advertised and by good grace found this place. The host worked through getting us in as the system was down and was understanding of our situation. We arrived around 10pm that night and what an experience. Truly if you’ve had a bad experience with properties this immaculately renovated bakery is a breathe of fresh air! Well designed. All the cooking, utensils and towels you expect for a family. Clean and in a quiet neighborhood. The skylights and absolute treat for lighting and ambience. Nothing, it was fantastic.
