• Xiaocheng (9/5): A perfect place to enjoy the Burg Hohenzollern - It's a brand new flat and very well equipped except the washing machine and dryer (at least we didn't find it). The location is a bit far away from Hechingen but absolutely a perfect place to enjoy the Burg Hohenzollern. The window of the living room just faces to the castle directly. If you like, you can watch the light changes on the castle from morning to the evening while lying in sofa. The management of self check-in and out is organized in a good and easy way. All the info provided via email is very helpful. The owner even put a welcome basket on the table, together with a welcome card and a lovely handwriting of "Warmly Welcome" on the mirror. All of these show the hospitality of the owner. Everything is clean and comfortable. Parking is easy, too, just in front of the house. 1. The wardrobe in the big bedroom spreads an unpleasant odour all day long. It doesn't go or is getting lighter even after a long time of window opening. 2. The heating system is a mystery. For the first two nights, no heating at all in the small bedroom and the living room. For the big bedroom and kitchen, only the part near the switch was slightly warm. The last night, heating in the rooms was fine, but shower water suddenly turned from warm into cold while my hair was still full with shampoo bubbles. Then I had to take a cold shower in the late October.
