Guest Reviews
- Jeannie (9/5): Wonderful weekend stay to chill and relax! - Location is great! Sunset right at the balcony Some ants around the socket. Outdoor furnitures need to be cleaned before using. Shower cream seems to have expired or contaminated. Limited bath towels. Would be good to provide some extras
- Peter (10/5): A classic escape to the stunning West Coast - Stunning location. Classic homely batch with a great surf vibe.
- Denise (8/5): A really great bach and very loved, would suit surfing enthusiasts and hikers alike 😊 - Great location and lovely feel to this little place No complaints
- Neil (8/5): Relaxing stay, had everything we needed for relaxing couple of days - Great views and ideal hideaway
- Sandra (10/5): Amazing views great outdoor area. Clean and comfortable. - Amazing views and location
- Bronwyn (9/5): True kiwi bach - This place was a true kiwi bach with everything you needed. Old school charm with a view to die for. Didn't switch on the TV once. 100% recommend.
- Kelsey (10/5): -
- Linda (7/5): Lovely spot to enjoy our anniversary - View was spectacular, and huge deck to enjoy it from Im an asthmatic so found it dusty.. lucky there were tissues there
- Jackie (10/5): We were at Piha for my daughter's wedding, it was the best stay I have had in many years. - The location was excellent, beautiful kiwiana stay, was very clean and tidy. There was nothing we didn't like. Everything we needed was there and readily available.
- Ballenti (3/5): The view was beautiful, but overall comfort and guest experience could be improved. - The billion-dollar view was absolutely stunning and definitely the highlight of the stay. The beds were uncomfortable, which made it hard to sleep well.
The sheets and blankets had a musty smell and didn’t feel fresh.
The TV was difficult to connect, and we spent unnecessary time trying to get it working.
Someone was expected to come during the stay to check the septic tank, which felt inconvenient and interrupted our privacy.
- Melanie (8/5): -
- Wendy (10/5): - Really comfortable bed and the views were beautiful. Really enjoyable stay.
- Val (10/5): The stay was amazing, with the view of Piha beach and the sounds of the ocean and birds. - The view and location to beaches and hikes/walks was amazing. The attached deck and barbique were great. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked at home both nights. As Piha is small we bought our groceries on our way from Auckland...we were able to get all supplies needed so we could enjoy our little oasis when we arrived.
- Natalia (10/5): - A lovely kiwi bach with amazing views! Equipped with everything you need for a peaceful west coast holiday. Tui is so easy to deal with, you feel at home straight away... Highly recommend!
- tim (10/5): An amazing get away spot - Amazing location for a get away
- Vivian (10/5): Exceptional - The view from the deck is amazing 🤩. Really appreciate the fireplace! It makes the room cosy and warm in the cold season... Highly recommend the place. My husband & I plan to go back 😄
- David (8/5): Wonderful location - Exceptional location, high up to the south of Piha. Glorious sunset seen from the rear of the property. Very friendly and helpful owners. Back doors didnt close very well. Second bed took up room in the living area
- Joe (10/5): Great place and great hosts - Incredible view Nothing
- Andy (9/5): Had a comfortable, peaceful stay with amazing views. - Location was superb. Nothing was bad
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for the views, it was nice to have the small vacation home to ourselves.
- Ruth (8/5): Very good -
- Natalia (6/5): I would come back after renovation - The location is very good and the view is stunning. The bedding and towels were clean. The house really needs renovation or at least a very deep cleaning. It was quite dirty inside, dust on some things. There was also a very strong smell of a dog. Ants come into the house.
I think it’s a little overpriced place.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Awesome location, spectacular views.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view, nice place to stay. Perfect getaway
- Christine (8/5): Amazing views - This place was amazingly well stocked. Tui, the owner, was super-helpful. The views were absolutely stunning. This is an old bach so there is no insulation. It was quite cold although the fire was very welcome.
- Holly (7/5): Good - Excellent little place with an amazing view. As described. No lock box information left us in unable to get in for 1.5hrs as owner not answering phone, but at least we didn't go back to auckland as we did finally get hold of them
