• Noluthando (8/5): It was good - House was big and we had all the space to ourselves, and it was closer to all the places we wanted to go to Not the property as such but some hours there was no electricity which affected the whole town.

• Makhadzi (10/5): Nice hidden gem - It's such a hidden gem. Everything in order. Owner also offered to take me to my next place in Jambiani at a fair price At 1st, I didn't like that they didn't use white sheets, but, you know what, it was good quality sheets despite being colorful, so I ended up not minding that much. Ohhh, and the stairs, all the way to the 3rd floor was quite an exercise, the goodthing is it kept me fit. But my host offered to carry my luggage both up and down the apartment. It will be nice if they could put a signage of Lofihouse, as it took us sometime to figure out which side/ door to use or go to?

• Yaara (7/5): Good location and facilities, not super clean - We had the facilities for our own use - washing machine, kitchen The location was great We didn't notice in booking.com that the private bathroom is seperated from the room The location is complicated to find and doesn't appear in google maps The bed sheets and the bathroom were not very clean
• Okello (6/5): Regardless of the standard of the room, the environment was peaceful, the staff were hospitable. - Location is great - in the Middle of Stonetown. The staff was friendly. Pick up from the Airport was well thought of. Relatively costly compared to other facilities of even better standard.
• Lorena (7/5): - The owner Was very nice! He helps out with everything. He let somebody come from the Phone Shop, so we could get a SIM card at Lofihouse, which was very comfortable. He also offers rides for a good price to many spots on the island. There is still a lot of inprovement necessary in the room. The bathroom fittings need to get replaced! The bedroom is okay, but it would be nice to have a bedside table and a trash can. Also some soap would be great.

• Juan Carlos (5/5): No lo recomiendo - Cerca del centro, y justo al lado de lukmaan restaurante donde comimos la mayoria de días. Los dos chicos que nos recibieron muy amables y nos ayudaron con un guía para un tour por la ciudad de stone town El lavabo privado estaba muy mal conservado y sucio, un palillo para limpiarse la oreja sucio en un vaso del lavabo, y el estado de la ducha no ayudaba, ni una pastilla de jabón, no me atreví a ducharme. Muy ruidoso, se escucha todo y mas la gente que baja de los pisos de arriba.
• Giulia Anna (8/5): - Struttura molto semplice, ma funzionale se non si hanno tante pretese. La posizione è davvero ottima per girare a piedi! Posto silenzioso la notte, con molti ristoranti vicini. Il proprietario molto gentile e accogliente, se richiesto può offrire servizio taxi per aereoporto e probabilmente anche tours. Noi avevamo la camera con il bagno privato fuori dalla stanza. C'è un'altra camera con il bagno privato dentro la stanza. .

• Jacob (10/5): Comfortable, clean, well-located - The property was very well located and clean. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. Good aircon and fans, and I was able to wash clothes here. In the morning, I found my clothes already hung up by the cleaner which was fantastic. Overall very good value for money. Would have been good to have a towel for the shower.

• Cristina (3/5): No volveré - La cama era super ruidosa, el baño no estaba limpio y olía muy fuerte y la habitación tenía telarañas. Me encontré hasta una cucaracha. Cuando llegamos faltaba la funda de almohada y las toallas, dijo que nos lo traía en 1 minuto y lo estuve llamando y escribiendo durante más de hora y media sin respuesta alguna. Otro día entraron en la casa a medianoche tocando al timbre y hablando por teléfono como si estuvieran solos. La puerta de la habitación no cierra bien, estuvimos más de 10 minutos para abrirla.

We enjoyed our stay there, and our host, Ali, even went the extra mile to accommodate us for an extra night when our alternative accommodation plans fell through. This accommodation option offers transport from or to the airport at a fee, which was extremely convenient. It was clean, there was hot water as well as a fridge, washing machine and stove if necessary. Another perk was that our host offered to plan various activities and packages, which was helpful. The location is great, close to a number of different restaurants!

• Phiri (10/5): - For the price, this is a very cozy place that feels very much like home away from home Perhaps the proprietor will do well if they pin the location on Google maps & put appropriate signage to easily direct clients. Otherwise the place is a few meters from Lukmaan Restaurant
• CRISTINA EMANUELA (4/5): Stone Town crea dipendenza, però non tornerei più in questo alloggio - Posizione centrale, vicina a Mkunazini Road, nel centro della città vecchia, in prossimità della chiesa anglicana e della piazza che in passato veniva utilizzata come mercato degli schiavi. A pochi passi abbiamo trovato molti ristorantini e un dedalo di vicoli brulicanti di vita locale e pieni di botteghe e di mercanzie. La cosa più deludente è stata la non corrispondenza della camera rispetto alla descrizione fornita. Abbiamo prenotato una doppia con letti separati e con bagno interno: cinque notti complessive, le prime quattro all'inizio del soggiorno a Zanzibar, prenotate dalla mia amica (poi ci siamo spostate a Nungwi e a Paje), più la notte prima del volo di ritorno, prenotata da me: in entrambi i casi ci è stata data una camera matrimoniale con letto unico e con bagno esterno. Il motivo addotto è stato "ad agosto tutto full", ma abbiamo fatto entrambe le prenotazioni due mesi prima dell'arrivo e la disponibilità c'era. L'edificio all'esterno ha un certo fascino un po' decadente, tuttavia l'interno è molto trasandato e trascurato: sono tollerabili la camera semplice e spartana e i servizi ridotti all'essenziale, ma non la sporcizia, il bagno fatiscente e senza acqua calda, la muffa, i locali maleodoranti. Dispiace.. perchè il proprietario sostanzialmente è stato gentile, benchè di fatto abbia eluso la nostra richiesta di avere una camera come da prenotazione e ci abbia fornito asciugamani e sapone solo perchè li abbiamo richiesti più volte. Peccato, perchè Stone Town è una città che ti ruba il cuore.
• Amina (3/5): Non corrispondente a quanto descritto - Posizione centrale, comoda per raggiungere aeroporto e, a piedi, le maggiori attrazioni. I bagni erano davvero sporchi e malconci . Avevamo prenotato una doppia con letti singoli e bagno in camera, ma ci hanno dato una matrimoniale con bagno esterno. I letti singoli non sono disponibili, anche se su booking sono indicati.

• Adela (8/5): Great find - Ample room with AC and fan, wardrobe, balcony; private bathroom with great water pressure; sitting area and kitchen in apartment. Super friendly and helpful owners who were happy to help with bookings, transport and clothes washing. Excellent location very close to restaurants, shops and old town but still quiet. There are some things that need to be addressed for a completely pleasant stay, such as detailed cleaning in bathroom, kitchen and lounge areas.

He was able to show me around, make sure I was getting the best prices, and also be a source of transport around the island. I 100% recommend staying here if you’re staying in Stonetown Motorcycles could be little loud

• Gea (8/5): Amazing little place! - It was very central, the host was super accommodating and even let us have a late check-out. The apartment is comfortable and clean and everything works well (AC, internet, etc). You have access to a lovely little kitchen. The apartment has a lovely feel to it and you’re somehow very central (around 5 mins from literally everything) but away from the hustle and bustle of everything. It’s also close to lots of nice places to eat:) The fridge needed a little clean, and there wasn’t any fresh soap for us. But otherwise lovely place. Probably isn’t the best place for someone with low mobility as it’s on the 3rd floor no lift.
