The location is peaceful, easy to find and accessible. Food at Dormigo was genuinely tasty and home-like (loved the rajma chawal). Dormigo really attracts the right type and like minded people. Anyone wanting to travel solo must not hesitate even once to stay here. A quick shout out to Rohit (property manager) for making my stay extremely comfortable and being accommodative with timings. He makes sure to make you feel included and is always available to help you with everything. My short stay. Would love to stay there for a longer duration.

• Domantas (10/5): It’s not the place, but the people 🫶 - Very calm and peaceful. Staff members are warm and welcoming. Very cozy and comfy facilities. I recommend It’s not on the hostel, but I have had this issue several times, when people just come in turn on the lights, starts talking, while I am sleeping. I am a sensitive sleeper, so of course I wake up from this. So this message is more for the travellers. Be mindful and more caring about others. Love love 💗💗

• Karman Kaur (9/5): - The stay was great! The staff made everything better, they were so friendly and fun. The place gives a very homely feeling. The food was good as well. The property is quite spread out so you can enjoy some time in the outside seating. They also have bonfire and game nights. The location is just 1km from the landing site which is not too far but if you go by walk then it is a slighty inclined 15 minute walk. Nothing bad if that's not a problem or if you have a bike!

And a special mention to the happy chef 👨‍🍳 who literally fed us with his whole heart. Dormigo’s hosts, Rohit and Rishu, are absolutely amazing. They are incredibly humble, kind, and genuinely care about making sure every guest feels welcome and has a great time. They created such a warm and friendly atmosphere that it instantly felt like home. They also helped us explore the area, guided us for the Bangroo waterfall trek, and made sure we had a safe and memorable experience. Every little detail was taken care of. Honestly, it’s not just a hostel, it’s an experience. Loved every moment of the stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! 👍

• Simmipreet Kaur (10/5): Safe, warm and comfortable stay for solo female travellers. - I loved the hospitality. The hosts Rohit and Rushi always made sure my stay was comfortable. I was travelling solo, but it didn’t feel like that even for a single moment. Rohit and Rushi have created such a warm, friendly and safe vibe at the hostel, all the people there mix up with each other very easily. Apart from that, all the facilities are available. The dorm room was clean and comfortable with a locker. The food was amazing.

Nothing about the property or staff warrants a negative feedback. It's the outsiders who come and ruin the sanctity of the place with loud music and inconsiderate loud noise at odd hours. I mean if i wanted to hear loud punjabi music at 10.30 in the night, i would have stayed in the city. The property should fix the music hours.

I think it was because of the amazing hosts- Rishu and Rohit- they were incredibly entertaining, welcoming and engaging. The hostel was also very clean, with well-maintained rooms and spotless washrooms. The food was great too. Overall, it was absolutely value for money There was quite a bit of noise, and there were no designated quiet hours at night like there are in most hostels. Because of this, my friend was unable to sleep properly. However, apart from that, the cleanliness, staff, and food were more than value for money.

From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless, check-in was supper-smooth, and the staff were incredibly professional, warm, and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully prepared, with every piece of information I could possibly need already provided and clearly laid out. It made settling in incredibly easy. The location of the property is amazing, a short 10 minute walk to the landing site and right next to the peaceful deer institute. The team went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. I genuinely appreciated how effortless and pleasant everything was.

• Shubham (7/5): Good location, sunset. Need better food. - The location of this property is great. If you get the right room, the views are great from the room itself. It is at the end of the road and some rooms face sunset view, some facing mountains. Food wasn't decent here. Had to go out to eat all the times. Whatever I ordered was wasted because of the not so great taste. Just order a simple coffee and you can judge for yourself.

We called for water, no response. The other host was creepy and would stare at my girlfriend. The check in was late. The host did not even communicate how much time would the room take to get ready. We moved to another hostel after 2 days. We’re highly disappointed. The service was horrendous.

The vibe here is very intentional—quiet, aesthetic, and designed with comfort in mind. The dorms are clean and simple, with thoughtful additions like privacy curtains and charging points for each bed. Nothing flashy, but everything you need is right where it should be. What stood out to me most was the atmosphere. It’s not your typical noisy backpacker hostel—it has a more grounded, peaceful feel. People seemed respectful of each other’s space, which made it easy to unwind or read without distractions. The staff was kind and easy to talk to. It felt more like staying at a friend’s place who knows how to host well. The location works well too—close to cafes and the main spots in Bir, but just off the main road enough that it stays quiet at night. The dogs. Oslo, Snowy, and Bidu are part of the soul of this place. Overall, Dormigo felt like a calm bubble in the middle of Bir’s buzz. If you’re looking for a restful, clean, and well-designed place to stay, I’d definitely recommend it.

• Avinash (7/5): Decent stay but could be better - It’s a great property surrounded by nature. Rooms were big enough for our purpose and the bathrooms were clean with good water pressure in it. Unfortunately, the check-in experience was not as seamless as expected, as there was some confusion among the staff regarding our room allocation. However, they were supportive and ensured we had everything we needed. Due to an unforeseen incident at the chef's home, food was not available during our stay. Nevertheless, the abundance of nearby restaurants and cafés ensured we did not face any inconvenience. The fan and light switch was away from the bed and near the window and at most inconvenient places as possible which was a huge bummer. There are windows on all 3 sides covered with curtains due to which we felt a bit of a privacy issue as people walking around can clearly see inside the rooms.

Nick and Gulshan have been more than accommodating in providing good options for activities as well as extending their hospitality for personalised experience. I think vibe attracts its own tribe, and Dormigo has great vibes! I met some amazing solo travellers here and were able to explore together and forge friendships, which I think is a great way to travel. The property, which is slightly away from the main road, feels more exclusive and is spacious with different nooks designed for solitude, relaxation and play. Dorms are clean, views are good, the common area has a lot to offer in terms of entertainment. The simplicity and the charm of the hostel as well as the warmth of its people makes Dormigo a must stop in Bir! Nothing really.

If you ever find yourself in Bir, stay at Dor - If you’re ever in Bir and looking for a place to stay, Dormigo is an absolute gem! I spent 10 days here and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. First off, the location is stunning..mountains all around, fresh air, and the most peaceful vibe. The workspace setup is perfect if you need to get stuff done but it never feels like you’re missing out on nature. I actually spotted two rainbows from the property (yes, two!) and the sunsets are straight-up magical. The dorms are super spacious, bright, and really clean, which makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for a while. But what I loved most? The people! Everyone..staff and fellow travelers..so warm and helpful..making it feel like home from day one. -

• Devanshu (10/5): I recently stayed at Dormigo Bir, and it was an incredible experience! The location is perfect — a bit away from the mai - The hostel has a vibrant, lively vibe, with cozy common areas and beautiful views of the mountains. They also have in-house activities like bonfires and movie nights, which made it easy to connect with other travelers.
• Maarten (10/5): Exceptional - Very peaceful location, but in walking distance of the paragliding landing site and the restaurants and cafés. Room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Also the price was very good. And they had a good offer for paragliding. Wished we could have stayed longer,but we already booked the next thing.
• Shrihari (10/5): Cost effective, comfortable and perfect for longer stays - The property is clean, well maintained and the hosts were wonderful to interact with. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, would love to come back. Nothing comes to mind
• Dingra (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very helpful and friendly, and kept checking up on everything. The place was decent,clean and the view was pretty. Cherry on the top was the complementary breakfast. Totally worth the price paid. Reaching there requires a Little hike which might be challenging with luggage if done by walk.

• Cathelijne (10/5): Comfortable - This has been by far the most comfortable, clean and good value for money hostels we have stayed at throughout our month long trip in India. We stayed in a private room for about 2 weeks while doing a paragliding course. It’s also very social and the volunteers, Rishi and Mai, are the a lot of fun and always down for a bonfire, card games or a chat. I can definitely recommend dormigo to anyone lucky enough to find themselves in Bir. It’s also right next to the deer institute for anyone interested in enrolling in a course there. Nothing
