• Suzanne (8/5): Very comfy bed and always love walking Ohope beach which is right over the road. Priced very competitively - Awesome position A bit outdated and needs a few patch ups.

The size of the unit was amazing The price was awesome The shower was not the best and could use soundproofing as you heard the flat above walking around in the morning. Even with that I would still recommend and most definitely stay again. Thank you so much

• Chris (6/5): Great price. Goid beach access. - A simple motel unit, but had mist things we needed.. Brilliant access to the beach. Great price In extremely hit weather , a fan was needed as there was no aircon, so we bought a small one from Mitre 10.

The bed was spacious and very comfortable just great Unfortunately I have to say that the shower had a very poor water supply and as good as no hot water sorry Paul but you need a plumber to fix it
• Dawn (9/5): Relaxing, refreshing and revitalising after a busy year. - Location was excellent. Across the road to a safe sandy swimming beach. I did a lot of beach walking and collected lots of shells. We took our bikes and I loved all the cycling lanes which keep you safe on a very busy road.

• Pauline (7/5): Location to beach was great, spacious unit but disappointed with water pressure. - Great location near the beach and walking distance to eateries. Unit was spacious but dated. The water pressure - basically no cold water to the hand basin and very little pressure in the shower.
• Naomi (9/5): Beach House Paradise - Location is fantastic - right on the beach and close to some local cafes and shops, close to the hikes and Whakatāne for any groceries necessary, close to the bus stop as well, has a communal laundry machine The water pressure in the kitchen, bathroom and shower wasn't the best.

• Devon (8/5): Very good spot - Great location, super spacious - exactly what you want in a beach getaway! Communication’s super clear and nice little deck space as well. Ahhh the water pressure was pretty abysmal in the kitchen, bathroom and shower. I showered for about 3x as long as normal just to wash my hair.

• Christopher (1/5): The stay from hell - Apartment just ok for a place to stay The intolerable noise from a family in the upstairs flat. The noise was incessant in evening and from 6.30am in the morning - even after being politely asked to keep the noise down. Evidently the family often stay, so if excessive noise bothers you, look elsewhere. Flat also not that clean, dead ants left in bathroom and in shower cubicle. Missing slat in bedroom blind, cutlery filthy. Address these issues and it could be an ok place to stay - but the noise issue will be difficult to resolve.
• Chris (7/5): We enjoyed our stay - It had everything that was needed but at a budget price. The neighbours were very close just outside our toilet. Also when outside on the deck they were quite loud. We didn't ghet as much sun on the back deck but that can't be fixed.
• Denise (7/5): Great location, sunny unit - The accomodation is in a fantastic location, straight across from the beach and close to west end and cafes. It is nice and sunny and has a lovely deck to enjoy. The other units in the complex are owner occupied and the unit upstairs had a family living there. The noise travelled down and it was quite noisey before they went to school and after school,

• Jane (8/5): Great little well appointed unit close to Ohope Beach with the sound of surf, crickets and bell bird - A tidy well appointed unit in a truly beautiful location on the West End of Ohope Beach. Great for a week long stay of beach time, bush walks and relaxation. The sound insulation between the upstairs unit and ours downstairs was poor. The shower was also lacking pressure but sufficient.

• Georgia (7/5): Good - Cozy little place good budget accommodation / value for money. You pay for what you get. I was impressed with how tidy the place was. No TV or WiFi so a great time for bonding with partner without TV blaring. Across the road to lovely beach. Kitchen works well and have everything required (could do with a fish slice and another bowl). Fridge works well. Living room has 2 couches and decent size coffee table to play games. Also table outside but it's a bit of and rusty. We enjoyed our stay in Ohope this unit was very affordable. Neighbours everywhere - extremely boxed in. Neighbours on both sides. Neighbours on top with a toddler and the noise filtered downwards - so if it's peace quiet and privacy then this is not the place for you. No sheer curtains for privacy. So either had to close curtains or be careful where you change. We were not bothered about the neighbours or TV.
• Benson (10/5): Our stay was warm and comfort. The house was clean and well maintained - Wow what an amazing wee room at an amazing wee beach. We really liked that there was a washing line to dry out beach towels and also clean utensils. I think there should be a wee carton of milk in the fridge.

We will book this place again as it was a very reasonable price which enabled us to stay four nights. Had everything we needed. Getting used to footsteps in the upstairs apartment probably because it was a new experience for us.

• Betsie (1/5): Misleading info - Nothing There was no Tv or private barbeque, and the website said there is. The shower is musty and not clean. The shower cub is so low that you can't wash your hair. The day before arrival and after I paid in full, the host sent a mail to say there is no tv. It also said on the website that this is a private beach, and this is also not true

• Kathryn (8/5): Fabulous beach location - The unit was very clean and tidy and the proximity to Ohope Beach was great. The living, dining and bedroom have been upgraded to a satisfactory standard. Although it was clean, the bathroom needed a complete refurbishment. The lack of wi-fi was inconvenient. The water pressure was poor.

Have no hesitation in recommending this facility to friends. A warmer blanket on the bed would have been nice. I could not find any other faults.

• Marion (1/5): Never again will I ever stay at sun seeker motel - What breakfast? Didn’t know abt breakfast. I’m not normally fussed when it comes to accomadation, but I might as well have just slept in my car for the night, when you charge for a room you should tell the ppl that there’s NO milk that there’s NO tv that there’s is NO dishwasher liquid that there is nothing to wash your body in the shower with, that you have to have a technicians degree to figure out how to get the lock box open when 1 has been given more than 1 entry Number. It was the coldest place I’ve ever stayed in my life. I’m not young I’m in my 70s it was like you had given me a taste of the morgue, will I ever stay with you again HELL NO The ants, the big black spider, a few cobwebs, and the fact that I had to get the guy above me to get that dam lock box open and he spent at least 2 hours trying. Not good enough at all. And you need to change your attitude when your speaking to clients, you should really be giving back my money as well
