Guest Reviews
- Anthony (10/5): Perfect -
- Mike (9/5): A great property! - Great location, great hosts, and a fabulous stay. Nearwater and the hosts did exactly what we needed for the evening
- payne (8/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): Wonderful hosts, homemade breakfast treats & short stroll to the Victory pub for - Beautiful decor & coffee table books 🥰 N/A
- Chorlton (10/5): Great hosts with a beautiful place to stay - Wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. We were upgraded to their spacious self-catering room, with separate lounge area, giving us room to enjoy our evening. Nearwater is just a short distance from the main town. We just wish we could have stayed longer
- Howard (8/5): - Welcome from hosts very good. Breakfasts good. Position good. St Mawes is expensive so I guess £150 a night for BnB is expected, but we thought it overpriced.
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely welcome into a lovely family home. - Eggcelent. Left to own devices thereafter.Fab bread.
- Tim (9/5): Relaxing stay with welcoming, friendly hosts. - Excellent location. Lovely decor and very well maintained. Nothing of note.
- Alison Reid (10/5): -
- Roy (10/5): - A very pleasant stay. Room delightful. Lovely company. A big thank you for rescuing me from Place as I missed the last ferry. Nothing.
- Steve (10/5): Quiet location, lovely breakfast, friendly hosts. - Lovely breakfast, friendly hosts.
- Penny (8/5): Non breakfast - The rooms and location The non-existent breakfast..They have stopped a full English breakfast and replaced it with eggs cooked how you like, bread and breakfast cereal with a bowl of yogurt and compote. Tea, coffee and a small amount of orange juice. The smallest amount of cheese and ham which would have fed one of us not 5. I reluctantly paid the £900 when we left the following day to have breakfast at the local pub before our journeys home
- Claire (8/5): Nice quiet place set in lovely gardens. Pleasant hosts - St Mawes has a wide range of excellent dining opportunities and the B&B is well located a short walk from these. Hosts are pleasant and friendly. We stayed in the self catering wing which was spaciious
- paice (9/5): Lovely visit. - Breakfast was fantastic with home made produce. Room very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Location was an easy walk into centre of village. Hosts very warm and welcoming.
- Louise (8/5): Lovely place to stay. 10 minute stroll down hill into St Mawes, easy walking. Room was lovely, hosts were great. If you’ - Hosts were lovely. Room was spacious, clean and inviting. Bathroom was great, lovely big shower. Parking on site. Breakfast. Although the home made bread was lovely, I was looking forward to a good old full English, something of a treat when you are away and especially when you don’t have to cook it yourself. They did offer any sort of egg you fancied, but that was the only thing cooked.
- Gavin (5/5): -

- Julia (10/5): Nearwater is lovely - can recommend! - Communication leading up to the stay was excellent. The welcome by the lovely Jill and (Chef!) David (Tim and Amelia were away) was warm and friendly (drinks and a snack were provided in the pretty garden on arrival). The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast, with homemade bread, jam, rhubarb compote as well as freshly prepared eggs (cereals, yogurt, coffee machine and tea also provided) was served in the visitors lounge overlooking the garden - just lovely! It was like staying with friends as it was so relaxed and personal! Nothing.

Breakfast was a real treat with delicious homemade granola, rhubarb compote and zingy marmalade... Tims' "specials" were a good choice for us and we even got to try Amelias' homemade Kefir.
Sitting out in the garden at night with a glass of wine under a blanket of black velvet peppered with diamonds.
Will certainly be back next year. Having to leave

- Carolyn (9/5): Nice bnb and hosts, I would stay again but only if able to stay in Summers. - The breakfast was nice but not exceptional. We loved our room. It was very comfortable. I particularly liked the feather duvet and pillows and the cotton bed linen. There were some mouldy patches around the shower tray and some cobwebs at the window.
