Guest Reviews
- Shannon (5/5): Great location and space for 8, but misleading layout, unstable bed, and insufficient supplies. - The location was great, and the house itself was spacious enough for all 8 adults (however would not recommend for 10 adults). Access to the property was a breeze and great communication leading up to our stay! The house was advertised as a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom property, which initially attracted us. However, upon arrival, we discovered the layout wasn’t as expected. While there were 5 separate sleeping areas, the ‘5th bedroom’ was actually a rumpus room with no door, located off the entryway, requiring passage through it to access the 3rd bathroom. While this was fine during the day, it was not ideal at night, especially since we had planned for a toddler to sleep there. The lack of a door caused a lot of additional noise entering the space. If that room was not fitted with bunk beds, it could have potentially served as an ensuite-style space. Furthermore, the bed in the 4th bedroom collapsed twice during our stay, not due to damage, but because the slats supporting the mattress kept falling away, resulting in our parents ending up on the floor. For a group of 8 adults over 3 nights, only 5 rolls of toilet paper were provided - two of which were half-used when we arrived, and one spare in a drawer. After reaching out to the property manager and not receiving a timely response, we had to buy our own. Additionally, some basic condiments, like salt and sauce, were missing from the kitchen. I would also recommend to BYO small heaters/additional blankets for winter stays - as this house gets very little sun, the bedrooms were incredibly cold. There are 2 aircon units - one on each level, however due to the layout of the house, the rooms were rarely warm. Given the higher cost of the stay, these issues significantly impacted our experience, leaving us feeling that it didn’t provide good value for money.
- Nicole (9/5): Was comfy, big enough for our group of 10 and dog friendly! - The property itself was lovely. Well equipped! Loads of kitchen and bathroom consumables. Lovely quiet street with plenty of bird song.
A previous review mentioned spiders, I think this was referring to outside. The inside was very clean Unfortunately we had terrible weather, which hampered our enjoyment of the week. It would havre been lovely to use the outdoor furniture but the rain had other ideas and the backyard took a battering and didn’t dry out. Not really the fault of the property, more the location in a rainforest !
- Tabone (10/5): Fantastic property, great service - The space was bigger than the photos showed. Lots of natural light and very homely.
The sheets were clean, beds were comfy, facilities were well maintained and the service was excellent from pacific palms group
- Kerri (8/5): Very relaxing - Nice property but not well maintained lots of spiders at the start
- Mark (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful & accommodating. - Very spacious, great bedrooms & bathrooms. Kitchen excellent & everything we needed was provided. Close to local shops & the Lake. Back deck seating & BBQ, we didn’t use as it was a little uninviting.
- Iris (8/5): Very good -
