- Ricardo (1/5): Not good. Scam - We liked absolutely nothing about this place. We had a bad experience with this place. The pictures and description on the website do not meet in any way shape or form what we encountered.
When we first arrived, there was no one (staff) to greet us, there was only a very nice gentleman that tried his best to make us feel comfortable. To be fair, we arrived 30 min before check in time (14:00 hr).
The place was a total mess, unclean, unkept, the pool was empty, the grass overgrown, the terrace furniture was the bedroom was a mess, the place it was on the middle of nowhere. There is no vehicle access to the physical address, it's a dirt road and the only way is you have to walk all the way up to get to the main house. There were no signs or numbers to identify the property. We talked, well, attempted to talk (we don't speak Arabic and they don't speak English) with 3 neighbors before getting to the right house. The taxi charged us an additional 15 euros because the place was "outside the city limits" (the website says it is 9 km from IBN Airport).
Anyway, we stayed as long as we tried to figure out what to do next. We've decided not to stay since they were clearly not ready for us and the place was very very very and I mean VERY far away from everything. While there, we tried to call numerous time to the only number we had but with no success.
We had to walk for about 5 km until we could find a taxi that was willing to pick us up.
I regretted not taking pictures of the place to attach to this review. It was bad bad bad. We were not looking for luxurious, we were looking for simple, cozy and clean and this place was not it.
Customers should be aware that you need a car or some kind of reliable and previous booked transportation to get in and out of there.
We felt scammed. We lost the reservation and taxi money and spent even more to get and stay in a new hotel.
9 km from IBN airport - lie

- Ron (10/5): great stay in a beautiful Riad - beautiful place. almost brand-new. good and comfortable room. breakfast was very good. everything was perfect.
- Laura (8/5): Very good - The breakfast, I had the best ever omelette/fried egg of my life! The staff was very nice even the dog. The views and the garden were nice and room was more like a little apartment. The road to get there. It had been raining and was very muddy, we arrived at 1 am driving a small car, with no light or signal on the road... I still don't know how we made it up the hill! The place must be great to stay in summer or spring.
- Said (6/5): in the middle of nowhere with 4am dogs barking - The view was amazing in the morning. They made us park outside which was a dirty road. I didn't know if my car would be damaged in the morning. we had to carry our bags up a strep path for 5 minutes. had to stop and catch our breath a few times. the swimming pool IS NOT private or for your own use. it is for everyone staying there. there was 2 dogs having barking contest at 4am. no sleep. Bathroom smelled.
- Lina (7/5): Secluded area with nice views. - Mohammed, the staff is living on the area, and is very friendly - makes the best Tajine.
The view is amazing.
Secluded feel, many animals around.
Best dog in the world - Fluky!!
The shower is the best we had during our Morocco trip.
There is a nice hike down to roman ruins, with a nice lake view very close.
Tanger is 35 by car away. The location on booking is 40 min away by car!!! from the actual location.
The location of the house can be found in google (but even with this, it is impossible to find the entrance as there is no sign - better ask the friendly people in the village)
The pool is not really private as there are people walking around.
- Francesco (10/5): 10/10 stay. - Just ideal. Starting from the great location with amazing views over Tangier and the mountains. Jihad and his family are incredible hosts, they made us feel very welcome and fed us beautifully. Totally recommended, especially if you have your own car.
- Jai (10/5): A wonderful and relaxing stay with fantastic hospitality - The stay was lovely. We were only there for one night but when we arrived they served us a wonderful multiple-course meal. The owner and her family are so friendly and the views from the main area are stunning.
- Osayd (10/5): Exceptional - The place is just amazing and very calm, the view is so beautiful, i really recommend, food is delicious, everything is just perfect,
- Amine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gunita (10/5): We had the most amazing time at Villa 🌙 - There are no words to describe the experience, as it was so much more! Family with two teenagers, we all felt looked after, cared and entertained throughout the stay. What they have not mentioned is that you have an in-house chef!!! This is such a huge bonus, as you get to rest comprehensively - laze around the pool (I could not get my son to take a break from it 😄), enjoy local trails for mesmerising sunsets, and Roman Castle remains, hosts that ensured we had all we need (organising trips, taxi, food requests, entertainment)! We enjoyed all the natural beauty and animals around (spotted turtle as well and, of course, host dog - Fluky 🐶). Despite the language barrier, we could communicate well - Google Translate (provided by the host) was our go-to, and our limited Spanish, French, and Arabic knowledge assisted a bit 😊. We all are grateful to the hosts, Villa Luna, for our amazing time! We loved it all! A small detail to bear in mind: the villa is located approximately 14km from the city. For good navigation, I suggest messaging the villa directly to clarify the road prior to your visit, as it is on a mountainside. The owner is fantastic and responsive!
- Ronalde (8/5): Lovely people, great food beautiful view. - Wonderful home cooked food! So good to experience village people employed here. Great view over the valley and a superb guided walk through cork plantation and Roman ruins. Great ned and shower too! Once we found the right track to take (a sign pointing in the direction of the villa would help) it was very difficult to negotiate on motorbike, particularly as it had rained earlier.
- Jai (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spot! lovely people
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ondrej (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ondrej (10/5): The best accommodation in Morocco. - Nice views, perfect host, amazing food, friendly pets (horse and dog Fluky), location. Last 100 metres od road are more offroad, not ideal for small cars.
- Ceilidhdawn (8/5): Stunning View - We arrived late and left early so we didn't get to spend a lot of time on the property, but the view was amazing. There was a great spot for breakfast out on the terrace, and an empty pool that would be lovely in the nice weather. The owners were really friendly and thankfully my partner speaks french so we were able to communicate just fine. The room was spacious and clean and they were kind enough to pack us a few things for breakfast as we had to leave early. It was a bit far away from anything, so it would be better if you had a car or something.
