Guest Reviews
- Philippa (10/5): A beautiful and comfortable base from which to explore Dunkeld and beyond. - From the quiet location next to a small book shop, to the huge front door and wide sweeping stairs, the apartment was exceptional. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm with a myriad of eye catching pictures and ‘objets d’art’, Parkview was the perfect self catering base from which to explore Dunkeld and beyond The bathroom door handle!!

- David (8/5): - Well designed and comfortable, well set up lovely apartment.

- Rachel (10/5): Incredible place, definitely coming back again! - The most beautiful home from home. Gorgeous, comfortable well appointed apartment where everything you could possibly need has been thought of and provided! Nothing - absolutely perfect
- Shirley (7/5): Lovely 4 nights in a very nice, well equipped flat. - Location was excellent. Flat was veery spacious and quiet.
- Susan (10/5): Wonderful, cozy home away from home! - Parkview is a charming apartment in an old Victorian holiday let. It is located 3 minutes from the train station, and across the street from Birnam Arts, which has a coffee shop, concerts, classes, a wee art musem and the Beatrix Potter Museum. Everything else you need is over the bridge in Dunkeld. Diane has put together a terrific library and the decor is tasteful and homey. The kitchen is well equipped- I was able to bake cookies, and entertain a guest for dinner. Diane was helpful about things to do in the area.
- Debbie (10/5): We will be back! - Everything! It was charming and so well equipped and we loved the coziness of it Nothing really
- Catherine (10/5): Fab stay in a beautiful and homely apartment - Lovely cosy, comfortable, spacious, homely apartment that is very well equipped for everything we needed. Free parking and easy to access the apartment. Great location in a fab area. Nothing.
- Frances (10/5): Perfect cosy flat. Very relaxing and in a perfect spot above a bookshop - Lovely clean cosy place. Relaxing and close to amenities as well as beautiful walks Absolutely nothing. Would book again
- Rabia O’ Loren (10/5): Absolutely loved the location. It was wonderful to coffee from the bookshop- - Although the host wasn’t in town at the time, we had a slight problem with the heating and she solved it from far away very efficiently. The kitchen really had everything that you could need including a washing machine was very well equipped. It was always a little hard to remember that the light to the bathroom wasn’t right next to the bathroom. The neighbors upstairs tended to wake me up earlier than I would’ve liked to have gotten up each day. Usually I could go back to sleep, but it was a little bit disturbing to be woken up at 8 o’clock when you’re on holiday.
- Diane (10/5): The perfect place to stay for a couple or two friends while exploring Perthshire - The apartment is cleverly designed and is decorated so nicely, seeing the sun streaming through the stained glass was beautiful. The beds are comfy! There is plenty of storage. The location is ideal as it is situated just off of the busy road and there is very easy access to many (easy to manage) walks along the river. There is a nicely equipped shoppe and cafe service at the Birnam Art facility and great food at the Birnam Oak cafe… both are so close and convenient. Walking to the train station or over into Dunkeld is easy. I am looking forward to another stay in the flat!
The owner provided easy to understand check in and check out procedures (the easiest I have ever encountered for an apartment rental).
- Ann (9/5): Met all our needs of an a couple with a pet. It will not suit everyone with mobility issues due - Everything about it met our needs from the facilities, location, parking and comfort. Door handles were difficult to turn .
- rob (10/5): Second time staying at parkview. Great little bolthole in a perfect location -
- Patricia (7/5): Very comfortable for a short stay. - This was a self catering property. It was very well appointed, it was just 15 minutes walk to the centre of Dunkeld, it was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen very good quality. The shower door fell off and the owner said she had forgotten to tell us that it had a broken hinge. It could not be repaired during our stay as she could not contact the housekeeper so this made it difficult to shower without flooding the bathroom. The single bedroom was tiny so more suitable for a child than an adult
- Chris (9/5): Loved it! - Great location, lovely space and quirky layout, loved the décor and the poppy/red theme, easy parking close to the door The sofa was broken and therefore uncomfortable. A slight lack of cutlery and implements in the kitchen. Better lighting in the bathroom would have been helpful, especially for shaving. By the way, none of these were game-changers.

- Kim (9/5): A lovely stay in a 2nd floor, spacious flat. The balcony is lovely! - Lovely 2nd floor flat in a great location for exploring the Dunkeld area. The flat had everything we needed for basic cooking and the washing machine and pully was a plus! Owner communicated well and confirmed smoke alarms were working as they were peeping (sorted quickly). The only downside was the blinds in the bedrooms - they did not block any light which meant the rooms were very light very early. There was also a lot of trinkets, vases and glass decorations, which we moved so they were less easily broken by our child (and us!). This is not necessarily a downside as they were lovely, just got in the way a bit.
- Jack (9/5): Beautiful apartment in brilliant location within Perthshire - Terrific flat in excellent location. Car needed only for longer jaunts; quick walk to train station right in Birman and lovely walk over bridge into larger town of Dunkeld with its many boutiques, restaurants, and specialty shops. Interior feels like being in a friend’s home with books and art—rare for a let and deeply appreciated. Appliances worked perfectly and linens and bathroom spotlessly clean. We slept well and thoroughly enjoyed our few days in the area. Thanks, Diane!
- Alexander (9/5): Superb -
- Gail (10/5): Great break at Parkview - Overall a lovely flat to spend time in. We felt it was just like a home from home. Sofa in lounge was little uncomfortable.
- Hopkins (9/5): Very kindly Diane allowed us to arrive earlier, a bg help for our journey. Thank you. 😊 - Superb location in Birnam, such a peaceful hamlet.
- Carolyn (9/5): A beautiful, homely and spotless apartment which I would recommend and will definitely return to. - The flat was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It had everything you could possibly need and was very homely and comfortable.
We particularly loved the beautiful stained glass windows in the bay window. There was nothing that we didn’t like at all.
- Lorna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - N/A Nice location clean and tidy but unfortunately let down by the bed as it was very uncomfortable I would suggest a mattress replacement would be in order and I would also suggest a replacement couch in the living room as it was collapsed in the middle making it very uncomfortable
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful flat, had everything we needed. Great location. Nothing
- Barbara (8/5): A very comfortable apartment …very well equipped. -
- Rob (10/5): Such a cosy, fully equipped apartment in the most fantastic location to enjoy this amazing area, at a great price! - It’s was ideally located- had everything you could ask for and great value for money. Can’t rate it any more highly. Nothing apart from the entrance communal area to the apartment was quite dark due to the communal light not working.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely loved staying here. Immaculate and cosy apartment in a great location with brilliant hiking right from the doorstep. Me and my wife had a great holiday here and would visit again.
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Smiles (8/5): We had a lovely break in Birman , and the accommodation was lovely. We even had good enough weather to enjoy the pretty - Lovely decor, well equipped kitchen, great location Lighting was a bit poor in the living room
- Mark (9/5): Great flat for a walking break in Dunkeld. - Well positioned, lounge area was bright even on a cloudy day, kitchen being both in but a little separate from the lounge worked well. The second bedroom is quite small.
- Farrelly (10/5): We loved every minute we were there. Plenty to see and do.We would like to stay for longer next tim - We loved the location and sitting out each morning on the veranda. The apartment was clean cosy and very comfortable. We would definitely like to visit again. The stairs as we were on the 1st floor. My mobility is not the best but I managed ok
- James (8/5): Very good -

- David (10/5): Great kitted out flat and location for an enjoyable stay. - Great location and smart well presented holiday flat. Larger of the 2 couches has seen better days and is uncomfortable. Hallway leading to flat is not too inviting.
- Gaynor (9/5): Great little place for a break -
- Corinne (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): A cosy apartment in Birnam, close to everything you need and walking distance from the station - We would love to return to this gorgeous apt. All the Charles Rennie Mackintosh touches were lovely. Plenty of space - the smaller bedroom was great for an extra guest. Very handy location opposite the Birnam Arts Centre and about 15 min stroll into Dunkeld. Delicious pizzas at Birnam Inn. A really enjoyable stay. N/A
- Gillian (9/5): Would love to return some day - Perfect for my needs / The French window to the balcony needs a curtain as very cold in the evening
