• allen (9/5): Overall, a very pleasant and convenient place to stay - We had a very good stay at Hybla Life Rooms in Ragusa and would rate it a solid 9. Although we never met the host in person, the directions provided for both the apartment and parking were very clear and easy to follow. The parking was conveniently located about a 7-minute walk away. The location itself was excellent, and the apartment was quiet and comfortable—we slept very well during our stay. One thing to note is that the showers are quite small; it worked fine for us, but taller guests (over 6’1”) may find it a bit tight. A nice added touch was the included breakfast of coffee and a croissant at a café just a few meters from the apartment, which we really enjoyed each morning. • Bradford (10/5): What an amazing discovery! - This is a fantastic hotel! Extraordinary value, like staying at a personal spa hotel. The on site masseuse is excellent, and very reasonably priced. The restaurant HAS A MICHELIN STAR - that is richly deserves. The included breakfast is incredible. It might deserve a Michelin star of its own. Seriously, this is such a great place: great rooms, great food, great staff, great location. Everything was outstanding.

• Benjamin (9/5): Stylish and well-located stay in the heart of Ragusa Ibla - We had a really enjoyable stay at Ibla Life Rooms. The location is excellent — right opposite the main gardens in Ragusa Ibla, with restaurants, bars, and gelato spots all within easy walking distance. Parking nearby was also convenient with a mix of free and paid options. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and very well presented, with a great blend of traditional character and modern touches. The shower was excellent with strong water pressure, and the kitchenette was well equipped with a coffee machine and pods. Despite being in a central area, it was surprisingly peaceful at night — just the faint sound of church bells, which added to the atmosphere rather than being disruptive. The service was also a highlight. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the follow-up call after checkout to check everything was okay. Overall, the aesthetics of the room and the full experience made it a really enjoyable stay, and we would happily return. There are just a few small areas where things could be improved. When we arrived, the room was quite cold and took a little while to warm up due to the stone walls and tiled floors. The bathroom in particular stayed quite cool, and the door didn’t stay open, which limited airflow even when the window was open. Breakfast was provided at a nearby café, which was a nice idea, but it was mainly sweet options with no savoury choices, which didn’t quite suit us. Arrival instructions could also be clearer or pre-translated, as some details were a little difficult to follow initially.

Suggestion to the owner, they should give a little bit of extra effort for example, having a mini fridge in the room and a coffee machine. These things can add a little comfort to their guests. And please put some black out curtains It’s hard to sleep in the evening when you see the lights outside

Es war eine tolle Lage mit tollem Blick auf eine Kirche und auf den Klostergarten. Die Voucher für das Frühstück waren toll. Der Kontakt sehr freundlich. Die Wohnung war selbst bei 11-15 Grad Außentemperatur leider sehr kalt. Besonders der Fußboden war extrem kalt. Alles war etwas klamm. Die Klimaanlage konnte dies leider nicht ändern. WC und Dusche sehr eng.

• Dennis (9/5): Probably the best place to stay in Ragusa. Nice, central, great views. - No breakfast but we didn't really need it. Shops and coffee nearby. Park across the street is great and the views are wonderful. Easy access to center, with shops, food, great walks. New Ragusa a bit far but a good walk if you are up for it. Not much there, though, apart from interesting architecture (including fascist center, like many Italian cities). Parking kind of iffy, the rules of what is free or local a bit confusing so we just stayed parked and walked everywhere. Once the owner met us we were on our own. The cleaner came early on our leaving day and spoke loudly in the hallway outside of our room. Made us feel hurried and uncomfortable.

• Lesley (10/5): A really lovely stay in beautiful Ragusa. - It was in a superb location overlooking a large piazza and right opposite the beautiful park. The main piazza was only a minute’s walk away. The apartment was large with a large bathroom. There were only two pillows instead of four.

The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and had all the essentials. The hosts were warm and attentive, and the pillows were honestly the best we’ve had in any stay—such a treat! A few little extras like a dish towel, salt/pepper, olive oil, or a cutting board would make it even more perfect, but truly, we had a wonderful stay and would love to come back.

The room is extremely comfortable, large bed, including a kitchenette if you want to make your own meals. What stood out most was the owners and their kindness - after the airline lost my luggage they were more than happy to help me, including assisting me to buy new clothes and helping me get from the bus terminal. I'm forever grateful for their hospitality. Nothing about the hotel or owners, they were excellent. Other guests were extremely noisy, especially during night.

• Annette (8/5): Toll Lage, Ausstattung der Küche verbesserungswürdig - Das Appartement liegt in einem sehr schönen Viertel. Abends zwar belebt aber dennoch kein Problem ruhig zu schlafen. Giorgio ist extrem aufmerksam und sehr bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Es war super sauber und wurde auch während unseres Aufenthalt (5 Tage) gereinigt Da wir gerne kochen und ein paar Tage in Ragusa Ibla waren, wollten wir ins auch selbst versorgen. Mit der Küchenausstattung ist dies zwar möglich aber eine Herausforderung. Es gibt nur das Nötigste. Das könnte definitiv verbessert werden. Allerdings wurde uns auch sofort eine Schüssel gebracht, nachdem wir danach gefragt hatten. Der Service und die Hilfsbereitschaft waren top.Wenn man allerdings in ein Appartement mit Küche geht, um sich auch selbst zu versorgen, würde ich dieses nicht empfehlen. Man könnte auf dem Balkon wunderbar Frühstücken , wenn es einen Sonnenschutz gäbe. Frühstück bedeutet, dass man einen Voucher im Wert von 3,50/p.P. erhält und dafür in einem Café in der Nähe bis mittags was holen oder dort essen kann. Wenn die Auswahl mehr kostet, zahlt man die Differenz. Das zweite Doppelbett ist ein Schlafsofa. Leider nicht sehr bequem. Man kann aber die Matratze (ca. 1.40 breit und 1.70m lang) auf den Boden legen, dann ist der Untergrund wenigstens eben und man hat nicht das harte Metallgestell im Rücken. Für Kinder ist es o.k. Das andere Doppelzimmer ist top und das Bett sehr bequem.

• Frederic (10/5): Très bon séjour à Ragusa Ibla. - L’appartement était propre, confortable, bien équipé, bien décoré, conforme à la photo (les équipements semblaient neufs, la pièce de vie avait beaucoup de charme). Tout était parfait. La climatisation fonctionnait bien. Le lit était confortable. La salle de douche parfaite. L’emplacement est idéal : dans le centre de Ragusa Ibla, et en bordure de ZTL (donc c’est pratique pour pouvoir apporter les bagages jusque devant l’immeuble). Le personnel vous aidera à trouver une place de stationnement gratuite (les places sont rares), vous accueillera à l’installation, vous donnera des conseils pour les restaurants ou se rendra disponible pour toute autre demande (communication par WhatsApp en Anglais). Le service était cordial et fiable. Nous reviendrons ! Rien, tout était parfait.

Tra le 18.30 e le 23.30 (almeno ad agosto) parcheggiare in zona è praticamente impossibile (attenzione a ausiliari del traffico e polizia locale, vanno letteralmente a caccia di multe...), andrebbe trovata una soluzione per gli ospiti delle strutture ricettive (per esempio chiudere la Ztl, ma poi niente multe però...)

Within the first 20 minutes I fell down 2 of the stairs of the set that goes from a small landing up to the room. The auto timed lights went off, the stairs are black and I didn’t see that there was one more step down after the door is opened. Luckily I didn’t get hurt. I do think (1) the lights shouldn’t automatically go off so fast and (2) maybe there should be a caution sign or some type of warning sign on the door. I fell like that 7 months ago and ended up breaking my shoulder. I was very careful the rest of the time we were here. It’s a beautiful apartment.

It is even nicer than on the pictures. Spotless clean, with all services you need. Comfortable beds and nicely decorated rooms. Hosts are superb and give you loads of helpful information. Ibla itself is just a marvellos place. Amenities were good and initial provision of water and coffee. For people with reduced mobility the stairs might be a problem. The breakfast is a voucher for the usual Caffè & Cornetto in the heart of Ragusa Ibla.

We stayed in the Viola room which has a kitchenette if you want to make yourself light meals but you are surrounded by a fantastic selection of restaurants, osterias, pizzerias ,bistro’s and a wonderful patisserie a few doors down the road. A B&B a voucher for a light breakfast at a cafe up in the main piazza is also provided. We were there during the Festa di San Giorgio the local patron Saint and had a front row seat as the parades and fireworks took place right outside our room and balcony. This happened over the two nights we were there and it was amazing seeng the community come together for the festival and enjoy themselves. Everything was great for us. However as with many places in older cities in Europe the rooms at Hybla Life are accessed by a flight of stairs and are positioned on a square and opposite a church where bells are rung in the morning. This is quintessential Italy (and one of the reasons we love visiting) here but it may not suit some people.

• Joanne (8/5): Delightful stay - Perfect location for sightseeing, being just a stones throw from the Hyblean gardens and few minutes walk from the Cathedral san Giorgio. The accommodation is well designed and host, Giorgio extremely helpful. Cannot fault anything.
• Gerard (10/5): Lovely enjoyable visit. - The location was perfect for our visit. We found free parking close to our stay, it is the off season I am told. The ZTL was always open. We could walk to breakfast and to dinner every day. We took the local bus, stop just across the street, t o visit Ragusa. Everything was fine.
• Sun (10/5): Hidden gem - We were very lucky to find this gem right next to the Ibleo gardens in historical Ragusa Ibla. Both Francesco and Giorgio are very welcoming hosts who clearly love their jobs and care for customers was top notch. Their knowledge and help was very useful to find the best restaurants (we went to Ai Lumi and Camuri where we had delicious local food and of exceptional quality) and we had granita in brioche for breakfast with our cappuccinos at the Caffè Donnafugata. They even recommended the nearby bookshop for my daughter who was in search of Sciascia's books. The suggestion to visit nearby Modica and drop in the Antica Dolceria Bonajuto was excellent; Any chocoholics out there, will love this visit. As I say, invaluable local knowledge. We stayed in the melograno rooms which had a great balcony overlooking the piazza close to the gardens. The kitchen was very welcome to have a quick coffee and make tea. We were even provided with cold water which was very useful. The flat was spotless and recently renovated so felt nice and new. The beds were comfortable, with crisp sheets, even the sofa bed, where our teenagers slept. It was nice that the two rooms were seperated so we left the teenagers free to enjoy their gadgets. Unquestionably, 2 bathrooms were a plus. The historical centre was a stone throw away from the apartment so we were able to walk easily around the town with delight and get to the various sights and restaurants easily.
• Anja (10/5): Perfect location to explore Ragusa Ibla and the countryside - This was a nice location in the middle of Ragusa Ibla. Terrace with a nice view on historic buildings. Very clean and provided everything we needed. Giorgio even helped us to find a parking space nearby. The location can be used for nice hiking tours.

• Pippa (10/5): Amazing B&B with a great host - A delightful, spacious, pretty room with a sweetheart balcony, big clean bathroom, and all the kitchen utilities needed for our short stay. Lots of natural light, and is perfectly located within walking distance in historic Ibla to all key sites, surrounded by lots of great eateries, cafes, bars and shops. Breakfast is offered via a coupon at a local cafe that serves amazing croissants, brioches and coffee. Serious bonus is the big comfortable bed with great pillows for my bad back which is a must for me. Seriously great host support from Giorgio who was quick, responsive, friendly, informative, professional and my cub deserving of a special mention. Wish I could have stayed longer but I’ll definitely return to this hotel. Can’t be faulted

• Urs (10/5): We had a great stay and would return any time - The coffee and cornetti was a great plus. The terrace overlooking the park was wonderful and the two bathrooms were a big plus. We think this is probably the best location in ibla The only thing people who are renting need to know are the steps leading to the apartment. It’s not an issue for young people, but for the older group this could be more difficult. We thought it was well worth it for the size of the apartment and the beautiful view.

• Teodora (10/5): Comfortable space in the core of Ragusa - The whole stay was super comfortable. The breakfast vouchers were a great touch, we really appreciated it. The bathroom in the room is beautiful! The first two days, the smell of cleaning products in the room was very overwhelming and hard to get rid of. Everything was spotlessly clean though, so I guess it all balances out in the end. 😀
