• Simone (10/5): Fantastisches Wohnen bei Dundee - Ein wirklich gemütliches Haus. Alles ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet, sehr sauber und durchdacht. Das macht diesen Ort zu etwas wirklich Besonderem. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen. Neben dem Wohnzimmer, dem Schlafzimmer, einem Bad sowie der Küche gibt es eine weitere Toilette, einen extra Wirtschaftsraum inklusive Wasch- und Spülmaschine sowie ein Ankleidezimmer. Da bleibt kein Wunsch offen.
• Carl (10/5): A gem on the outskirts of Dundee - We spent 5 nights in Castlehill, and we're very glad we did. The location of this property is exceptional; a stone throw away from all major amenities, but at the same time situated in a very quiet area. It is also great if you want to use it as a base in order to drive around this part of Scotland. The property was spotless, very clean and welcoming. Julie is a great host. Communication was great from the moment we booked to even after we left. We will make sure to visit again in the future. N/A

Spotlessly clean spacious and comfortable with everything you will need for your stay. On business for only two days. Perfect. Thank you so much. That i couldn't stay longer.

Very comfortable bed and the thickest softest towels we've ever used. There was nothing we didn't like but a spiral staircase to the loft bedroom could be a challenge to some.

Julie was very helpful and communicated beforehand what they would be providing for us, which is useful to know. Several provisions and extras provided which were very much appreciated. Bed and sofa comfortable. Having upstairs and diwnstairs toilet useful plus utility room with washer/dryer was a great asset on a long trip. Kitchen well equipped, with a toaster grill and airfryer and microwave, rather than an oven. Being able to use their electric to top up the car was amazing!! Great views, especially from top floor. Outside decking on ground floor and balcony upstairs. N/A

• Amy (10/5): I would 100% recommend this cottage and hope to be back! - The property was clean, spacious, well thought out. I loved that it was so light and it felt very private, perfect for the purpose of my stay which was to visit family in Dundee but to also completely recharge. It was about 15 mins drive from the city but 2 minutes drive in the other direction was the car park for the woods and walks in the nearby hills. It was very peaceful and quiet at night and generally everything was just perfect. What made it really special was the host Julie was so friendly without being intrusive and was so helpful, giving me recommendations for places to walk and I felt like if I’d asked, nothing would have been too much trouble. She really helped me feel relaxed and at home. All in all I felt lucky to have picked such a lovely spot to stay for a few days, it was perfect!

The accommodation had everything we needed and more, with thoughtful extra touches that went above and beyond what many hosts provide. Lovely comfy bed, warm and cosy, great space inside and out for us and our two golden retrievers and all in all a wonderful experience. We highly recommend and will be back for sure. • Wendy (10/5): Outstanding stay - Amazing stay at Castlehill. Julie was an outstanding host, welcoming, cheery and very kind. She evenl gave us a lift into Dundee. The property is so beautiful, spacious and clean. The property has everything you’d need- a lovely kitchen with all essentials, even a utility with dishwasher etc. Julie provided us with bread, milk, biscuits on arrival. There was coffee, tea and bathroom essentials too. If we travel to Dundee again, we would definitely stay here again!

• Tracey (10/5): - We had a lovely three-night stay at Castelhill and really enjoyed our time there. The place was comfortable and welcoming, and we felt at home straight away. Julie was an amazing host — so friendly and thoughtful, and nothing was too much trouble. She even went out of her way to get cat treats for us, which was such a kind touch and really appreciated. We’d definitely return and would happily recommend Castelhill to others.
• Ashleigh (10/5): - An amazing stay! Stayed for a couple of nights travelling throughout Scotland for our honeymoon after getting married. Julie was the loveliest host and so nice to talk to, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, also great recommendations for tourists. The Home was the most beautiful stay we have had out of the dozen other accommodations. Julie has literally thought of everything and it felt like we were at home. A beautiful extra touch was a handwritten card and sweets and treats she left for us. She also very kindly gave us a late checkout to enjoy ourselves and not rush (which was much appreciated as we were awake at 1am for a funeral back home). Came with all the important additions I was looking for - Dishwasher, washing machine, full kitchen, big comfy lounge, separate bedroom with great bedding, 2 toilet areas, fire heater etc. Will absolutely be back to stay, and would recommend everyone to stay for a lovely home away from home. Thanks for the amazing stay Julie, its one to remember. 10/10 That we didnt get to stay for longer!!

• Cheryl (10/5): Definitely a home away from home. - We must begin by saying that Julie was the perfect host. Her communication was perfect, both before and during our stay, this made us feel very welcome throughout. We have stayed in many places but Julie puts that extra effort in as a host. She suggested places to visit and to go for walks. She also provided some thoughtful touches for us, which included dog treats and also treats for us. The annexe is in a lovely and peaceful location with amenities just a short drive away. Beautiful views from upstairs, a nice enclosed seating area outside and a sheltered parking area. As soon as we arrived with our little dog, we felt instantly at home. The annexe smelled amazing and was super clean and tidy. Very dog friendly and definitely a home away from home. We highly recommend Castlehill. Nothing

• Katrina (10/5): Lovely property, amazing and friendly host - Julie was so lovely! Right from the start from when we booked to after we left, she was very communicative. We got a bit lost on the way and had trouble finding the property due us arriving in the dark, but Julie happily met us somewhere so we could follow her home. The annexe has everything that you need and smells amazing! It was lovely and clean and very dog friendly. Nothing, everything was perfect.

Breakfast essentials were left along with some tablet and even a packet of treats for our dog. Our host could not have been more welcoming and helpful. • Birgit Bi (10/5): Castlehill ist ein Juwel - Castlehill ist ein wahres Juwel. Wir sind total begeistert. Die liebevolle Betreuung durch die warmherzige Gastgeberin Julie war großartig. Das Haus ist so liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und einfach nur zum Wohlfühlen Sehr bequemes Bett Die Lage ist auch super. Glen Clova, St.Andrews, Arbroath, Stonehaven...alles schnell zu erreichen. Nach jedem Ausflug freuten wir uns darauf, zurück zum Haus zu kommen und einen Kaffee auf der Terrasse zu genießen. Abends haben wir es uns vor dem schönen Kamin gemütlich gemacht. Es war immer ein Gefühl von "Nach Hause kommen* Wir werden Julie und ihr wunderschönes Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und für uns ist auch jetzt schon klar...wir kommen wieder 😊 Alles war super 😊

Very spacious and thoughtfully fitted throughout. Though annexed to the main house Castlehill is very private and totaly self contained with everything from a large parking space and private patio, to a 'house and garden' inspired bedroom (with a bonus view over fields) and even charging cables. On the edge of town but close to local amenities with host Julie always on hand to provide local assistance as required.
• Simon (9/5): Geweldige plek om te verblijven - Het is een prachtig huisje wat erg sfeervol is ingericht. De host is geweldig! Voor we aankwamen, stuurde ze een appje over wat te doen bij aankomst. Ze maakt dat je je welkom voelt en helpt met het geven van tips over wat er te doen is in de omgeving. Als we een vraag hadden, kregen we direct antwoord. Het huisje is schoon en alles wat je nodig hebt, is er. Het matras van het bed was heerlijk. En hond Lily is een lieverd😀 Wij zijn gewend aan een 1.80m bed met aparte dekbedden, dus het slapen in een 1.40m bed met een gezamenlijk dekbed, was voor ons wat minder. De bank is een echte plofbank, wij houden van stevig zitten, dus voor ons was het ff zoeken naar een goede houding op de bank.

• Karin (10/5): Unglaublich schön!!!! - Die Gastgeberin war großartig, zuvorkommend und hat uns viele Tipps gegeben , wo man hinfahren sollte und welche Restaurants zu empfehlen wären. Die Ferienwohnung ist super gepflegt, sehr sauber und wunderschön. An alles wurde gedacht bei der Ausstattung!!! Die Lage war ruhig, und auch in einer tollen Gegend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und fühlten und sehr wohl und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

• Andrew (10/5): Peaceful break away - Julie made us feel so welcome and went over, above and beyond, to ensure we had anything and everything for a relaxing few days. The property is modern, open plan, has everything you could possibly need, and was immaculate. As it's a little north of the town of Dundee proper, it was very peaceful and for us to sit out and take in the beautiful views and skies full of stars (as there is no light pollution whatsoever) from the property. The icing on the cake was how lucky we were with the weather and having a full (harvest?) moon to enjoy. Would heartily recommend and we look forward to another visit. N/A

Castlehill was quiet, comfortable, cosy and had everything that we needed included, such as a washing machine. There were a few special extras included which were unexpected niceties. The chocolates and welcome sign were a very nice touch! The bed was comfortable and the apartment roomy. Julie's recommendations and information were thoughtful and just what we needed. The description and photos matched Castlehill perfectly.We would definitely stay again if in Scotland. Thank you Julie for a lovely stay! Everything was lovely but, if you have mobility issues, Castlehill may not be for you due to the winding staircase to the bedroom.
• Kellie (10/5): Dream home from home - This is an exceptional home from home Julie has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible i loved everything about it.Julie is an exceptional host so friendly and inviting and nothing is to much for her the annex is unbelievable and you couldn't find a fault in it if you tried i mostly definitely have it as my favorite stay so far and it has set a very high barrier of what I would expect to find in another accommodation i look forward to returning again and also she has the most adorable dog who gives you the warmest greeting on arrival Absolutely nothing you couldn't fault the place it's immaculate from you open the front door

The kitchen is well equipped. The decor is light and airy. Upstairs the bathroom has a walk in shower and there is a separate walk in wardrobe. We appreciated the welcome pack (milk, butter, bread, biscuits). The owner communicated promptly and clearly and was exceptionally helpful. The position of this property just outside Dundee is perfect. You feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, but supermarkets and eateries etc are close at hand. Nothing

We were travelling with our dog and Julie went out of her way to tell us all the good local walks and were to eat locally. The facilities were modern and clean and really well thought out. From the advert we had high expectations and this stay far exceeded them.

Julie was a fantastic host, she came to say hello and provided us with recommendations for shops bars and restaurants. We also had a lovely welcome pack including a bottle of fizz and card for our anniversary. The accommodation was fantastic and had everything we needed for the weekend with fantastic views. • Colin (10/5): Mr & Mrs Coco - Castlehill is an excellent home hosted by Julie, who is a very friendly and pleasant lady. The house has everything you need and more. On arrival, we were treated to wine and chocolate, but also tea, coffee, bread, and butter just to get us started. It's close enough to the city, but it is very quiet, peaceful, and cosy after a busy day out! We will look forward to returning to Castlehill again. It's all good 👍

Exceptionally clean and quiet, within east reach of Dundee with a rural feel. Nothing. We stay frequently in Dundee for work and this is by far the best place we have stayed.

• Heather (10/5): Wonderful stay in a well-equipped, quiet and cosy house - Julie was a really excellent hostess. She communicated with us before and on arrival and was very available if we needed anything. She was very thoughtful in her preparations (trying to make the house ‘toddler-proof’, Christmas decorations, and essentials/treats left for us in the kitchen which we enormously appreciated). The house itself was also lovely. It’s more spacious and comfortable than the pictures and we really enjoyed our stay. As you come in, there is a bathroom and a utility room off a short hallway before you enter the open-plan kitchen and living room, and these were very helpful as the dog could be shut in the hallway/utility room when the toddler was downstairs with us if needed. The kitchen was well-stocked - there was nothing I looked for that it didn’t have in terms of utensils and Julie had left helpful cleaning and grocery essentials. The bedroom was spacious and nicely set up, with good storage space (walk in cupboard) and a lovely ensuite - I particularly appreciated the built in chargers on the bedside tables :) The location was quiet and rural which was perfect for us. Can’t think of anything! Everything was lovely and Julie was happy to help with anything which could have been a problem. The spiral staircase and the rafters in the bedroom are worth being aware of if you plan to travel with a small child, as they could be hazardous to young children, but Julie was very conscientious in pointing these out to us as well as helping with a child barrier.

• Apolosi (10/5): Exceptional - I mean it depends on what you're looking for. I just wanted a quiet weekend away so it was perfect for me. Spacious, immaculate and everything in the facility works perfectly, from microwave, TV, WiFi to the shower. Julie is a friendly host. It's hard for me to say as it has what I was looking for.
• Daniel (9/5): Lovely tranquil location with easy access to Dundee - The property was really nicely located, about a 20 minute walk from the closest buss top which has a direct route into central Dundee. The views are of lovely country fields and it's in a nice and quiet area (with great parking). The property was really clean and tidy, with plenty of cooking facilities and a nice shower. The balcony was especially enjoyed with the starry sky being enjoyed each evening from it. The host was super friendly and welcoming and created a really enjoyable experience. The only issue we found was that the tv mount upstairs isn't well affixed to the wall, but it still worked so this was super minor (although I'm sure Julie will have this fixed in no time!)

Multiple friendly and helpful messages were sent to us pre- and during our stay, much lovely food and snacks were provided as a welcome, and local recommendations were plentiful on request. Place was spacious, spotless, bright, and warm. Would absolutely stay again.
• Chloe (6/5): One Year Anniversary Stay - • Location (in the countryside with great views but still only a short distance to the city centre) • Decor (felt very homely and modern) • Well stocked fridge (bottled water/milk/orange juice/butter/jam) • Complimentary Prosecco and snacks (shortbread/chocolates/wafers) • Cleanliness • Comfy couch • Covered car port • Friendly host • Unsettling gaps in the floor directly next to the bed (seemed like a bit of a hazard) • Uncomfortably warm upstairs (even with the window open and fan on) • Bed (the mattress was super orthopaedic and may as well have been made out of concrete - we ended up having to sleep on the couch as our bodies were physically in too much pain) • TV in living room (was small for the space and too far away from the couch) • Lack of curtains (due to this, as soon as there was a hint of daylight - the whole apartment was very bright) • Host (although friendly, we personally found her to be a bit much and believe other than meeting on arrival, we should’ve had no other communication unless absolutely necessary)
• Ian (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day break in this property. - Our host had provided us with a welcome pack which was more than adequate to give us the start to our day we needed. Would recommend to anyone on business or planning a holiday break in or around the Dundee area this property. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the property we stayed in.

• Td (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful, getaway - What a gem of a find absolutely fantastic. Property is gorgeous, spotlessly clean , light bright and very comfortable. Bedroom is superb walk in wardrobe, en-suite, charging stations . Really is a fabulous place to stay. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Julie the host is great in contact from the onset keeps you informed and the welcome package left is brilliant even our dog was thought of. Nice personal touch which is lacking nowadays. There is a decking area out back which is a total sun trap and really private great for our dog and us we sat outside with nibbles and wine and enjoyed the quiet. Relaxing time away would recommend so many places nearby and great for longer holidays as a luxury base for exploring. Property is very dog friendly and it was so nice to meet Julie our host and lily the dog. Nothing it was brilliant

• Alison (10/5): Lovely spacious relaxing accommodation - Everything, there was nothing not to like. The accommodation is very spacious, light and airy, well appointed and decorated. A lovely welcome pack was provided, which we used and was delicious. Julie was a great host and kept in contact. Nothing.
• Mrsxxv (10/5): Beatiful cottage with lovely views, wonderful host, great value. I want to visit again right now! - I can't speak highly enough of Castlehill and of Julie, our lovely host. The cottage was roomy, spotlessly clean and it had absolutely everything we could possibly have needed, even if we'd been there for a month! Tastefully decorated, homely and so very comfy, with lovely views over the fields and hills. Ample parking space and an EV charger, which we were delighted with. Julie had left us some welcome provisions which were greatly appreciated and she was so kind & helpful, pointing us in the direction of places we'd told her we wanted to visit, while also pointing out some other local restaurants etc that we might like. I could go on and on about how much we loved Castlehill, I really could. It's the nicest place that we've stayed in. We will absolutely be back for another visit. Hopefully soon! Nothing!
• Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Castlehill is a wonderful property, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. Pre-arrival communications were excellent and Julie, our host, was extreme friendly and welcoming. A very comprehensive and thoughtful selection of welcome treats was provided which we appreciated and enjoyed. We only stayed for two nights but wish we had booked for longer and would love to stay again sometime. Dundee is just a short drive away and for anyone interested in wildlife, we can recommend RSPB Loch if Kinnordy. Thank you for everything Julie, we really enjoyed our stay! 🙂 Nothing, everything was just perfect!

Julie was fantastic from start to finish. The annexe is great, so comfortable, it has everything you need and lovely little extras. Great location, feels rural but only 10 mins from Dundee. Welcome package of Prosecco, chocolates, and other groceries. Plentiful parking. Lovely views across the countryside. Secluded deck on which to enjoy afternoon and evening sunshine. Only 5 mins from main road. Nothing.

Spotless, smelt amazing, had everything you needed, extras included and nothing I mean nothing was too much hassle for the owners! Super friendly and so accommodating. We have stayed at a lot of lodges, flats, cottages etc but this one is by far the best! (We want to live there forever hahaha) Thank you so much Julie and Alex for having us, we will 100% be back! Everything was there that we needed. Additionally, it was a comfort to know our car was safe & sound in the car port. Easy access to Dundee, etc. Would stay again. Nothing to dislike ... apart from the weather, lol.

• Bruce (10/5): Castlebrae has everything and more you would ever want for a break away. Loved 🥰 loved 🥰 loved 🥰 - Where to start what we loved about Castlebrae and our amazing host Julie?,.. What a luxurious haven 🥰 An absolute first class host, first class accommodation and first class location which was so peaceful with beautiful panoramic views. Julie was so attentive with a genuine customer care approach, a business professional with attributes which clearly transfers into her own business at Castlebrae. One wants for nothing at Castlebrae, wine, food provisions, toiletries, chocolates, dish washing tablets, washing powder,. all provided. We took along our Ninja air fryer, no need to, one was in the fully equipped kitchen which included kitchen roll, foil, etc. En-suite was amazing (did I mention the luxurious bath towels?), the south west facing decking outside provided the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine until the sun set. We are OCD about cleanliness and Castlebrae did not let us down. We just wish we had booked to stay there longer, that said, we will most definitely be back and I have said to my family I am going to book a stay there for them, it will be my treat to them. And what a treat it will be 😍 This host and accommodation truly is a 5* plus and I rate it 10,000000000000 out of 10 🤩 Nothing - everything was just perfect 🤩 we truly recommend a visit to this splendid accommodation.

• Sheila (10/5): Perfect peaceful stay - The Annex is the most perfect and peaceful place to stay, it is actually from home with a lovely host, Julie who goes out of her way to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The Annex is really well equipped with all modern appliances and It is very convenient for a number of shops and places to eat. We managed to extend our stay and were so glad we did as the Annex was so comfortable and relaxing. Julie is a fountain of knowledge being able to recommend places to visit in Dundee and the surrounding areas … so much so we are already planning our return. In addition Julie had left us a superb welcome pack of water, milk, bread, butter, chocolates and Prosecco We highly recommend staying at Castlehill it’s fabulous.

• Tony (10/5): Perfect stay in great place. 5 star + - Lovely 4 night stay for work, great location set in stunning countryside but close to Dundee centre. Property is to a very standard and very comfortable. Everything you need for a relaxing stay in this beautiful home. Good WiFi, well equipped kitchen, plenty of space for parking and a car charger available. Julie and Alex are lovely, happy to help and good judge of being on hand and giving you privacy. Really enjoyed being greeted from work by the family spaniel Lily. Nothing.
• Colin (10/5): Exceptional place to stay - Excellent. Fantastic value for money. The photos do not do this place justice for the shear space and homely feel you immediately have upon arrival. (The place smelled divine) Julie is a fantastic host from the little treats and provisions supplied upon arrival(milk,bread,butter,etc) to the communication from her was exceptional. I had no doubt if there was any problem with my stay she was just a phone call away to be able to sort any issues.(There was none) Castlehill has all the amenities needed for a stay from tin foil to toiletries and everything in-between. Overall a fantastic experience and most definitely will return when needing to be in dundee or the surrounding area.
• Natalie (10/5): Relaxing, modern and homely setting. - The property was absolutely spotless, very homely and had all the amenities you would need. Julie was very welcoming and friendly on arrival and had provided some little extras that went down a treat, she was only a message away if we needed anything. The property is in a quiet and relaxing area with nice views of the countryside and a homely feel. I could not fault our stay at castle hill in anyway, it was brilliant.
