Schng (10/5): Great food and friendly service - Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely onsen. Size is not big but as it's not crowded, it was a comfortable soak. Bed was comfortable and duvet was warm enough despite temperature dropped to 3 degree celsius. Easy to get to the hotel as there's a direct bus from Niigata Station at YEN1500 per person. There is also a direct bus from hotel to Shibata station at YEN500 per person. Heater does little to warm the room so onsen does help to keep us warm plus lots of hot tea! Can't get used to the slipper especially with socks on.
