Guest Reviews
- Martin (9/5): - Nagelneues Mobile Home, perfekt ausgestattet in guter Lage. Ruhig gelegen, mit dem Bus schnell in der City.
- Pam (10/5): Excellent campsite - Facilities are excellent, and the caravan was immaculate. There was an issue with the WiFi but this didn't really spoil our stay. Nothing
- Alexander (9/5): - Eine tolle, sehr gepflegte Anlage. In dem Mobilehome war alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Gerne wieder einmal. Nichts
- János (1/5): - They cancelled the booking on the day we travelled. :)
I had over GBP 200 extra cost to book new room, and arrange the transportation for 4 days.
- Sławek Kulicki (8/5): - Czysty, komfortowy domek holenderski, przemiła obsługa... Dobra cena... brak bezpłatnego Wi-Fi
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Hanah. (10/5): Exceptional - A calm place with good connection to city center by public transport. If we are going to Edinburgh again, we'll stay here. There was nothing to complain about.
- Roz (9/5): Superb - Clean comfortable and in good repair. Only one key per home. No ironing board. Storage space limited.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, quiet, easy to reach by bus, kindness of all the staff and very well equipped kitchen
- Joy (10/5): It was very peaceful -
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peibolg (9/5): Great stay :) - I had never stayed in a caravan/camping. I can say it surpassed my expectations. The place was spotless, the area is small (as you would expect), but perfectly distributed. It has good links with the centre of Edinburgh with a bus stop right at the entrance of the Camping site that takes you directly. Nothing with the apartment. Maybe with the facilities. One day we came back from a long, and rainy, walking day to the camping site, quite tired, and tried to go to the on-site pub at 20.25 and we were told the kitchen was closed. The closing time on Google is 23, so we were not expecting the kitchen to close that early. Anyway, I wish we had known to make some alternative plans, because there is nothing else in the area.
- Catherina (8/5): Beautiful holiday park - Beautiful holiday park with a great location and very well looked after grounds. Easy and convenient to get to the city centre with the regular bus service. Our bed was too firm for us and the mattress protector made for a sweaty sleep at night. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom were very small.
- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful relaxing vacation in beautiful surrounds and all the comforts of home - Location, comfort, amenities, cleanliness and staff Nothing
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Great location and lovely cabin
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (8/5): Ideal location, lovely site, nice and quiet. - Great location, quiet site, caravan was ideal for 4 adults. Ideal for 4 nights which needed to be close to Edinburgh City as we were travelling in twice a day. Lacking in tea towels (only 1 which had holes in it).
No oven gloves.
Frying pan had a loose handle which we fixed.
Only 1 shelf in the main oven which was a problem when cooking
- Alison (10/5): Just perfect - Excellent property perfect just wonderful Nothing at all it was perfect
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and exceptional clean caravan, nice little pub with food onsite, very handy bus connection at the park entrance great value for money Strong free WiFi would make it perfection
- Mica (8/5): Clean, spacious, cosy! - Grounds, lodge and peace and quiet The power cut in arrival lol ( couldn’t be helped ) !
- Mohammad (9/5): Superb -
- Suryansh (5/5): Passable -
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jade (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely property, very clean and was warm upon arrival which was a bonus!
- Dianne (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (7/5): Very clean, near centre, all provided except wifi, good value for money - Location was good as just 5 miles from Edinburgh city centre.
Very clean when we checked in and the smell was really good. They have also provided a lot of additional stuff like dish soap, toilet papers, kitchen towels, oven handler, oven tray with foil (ready to grill/bake), hand soaps in kitchen and toilet, garbage bag. All you need is yourself and your clothes and everything has been provided! The only thing to improve on is the wifi!! There was no wifi when we checked in for 3 nights and they are still in the process of changing their wifi provider. Signal is also low.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): Ideal location out of the city - Beautiful grounds, well laid out and so peaceful . The staff were very polite and friendly. They even have highland cows . Can’t fault it
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Thea (9/5): Superb - The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The accommodation was welcoming and clean, heating system was excellent. Living area was spacious. Map to show us to the accommodation was good and very clear, and parking was convenient. Love that the park had a shop, restaurant and garden center as well as trails to walk along. Great that it has a bus stop at the top of the road for travelling. Information was amazing for things to do in edinburgh and for the bus times and locations. All staff were lovely and helpful. We would highly recommend people to come and stay and we are planning on staying in your parks again. The single beds were very small, smaller than an actual single bed and barely any room to move to get changed but the double bed and room were a good size. Radiator was leaking in the bathroom which someone came to fix, which lasted a day or two then leaked again. Could have done with a Pizza tray as the other 2 trays were quite small.
- Suzanne (8/5): Overall a lovely stay and would recommend. - Morton Hall is a beautiful location, the Mobile home was clean and comfortable. Local buses were exceptional with a bus every ten minutes from the entrance to Mortonhall. Staff could have been more knowledgeable of the surroundings, we asked a staff member about local footpaths, and they didn't know what a footpath was!!
- Christian (10/5): Great location, lovely new caravan cant wait to come back - Super clean, like new caravan. in a great location. We had an iron board but no iron and we called a few times but got nowhere. also paid for wifi on the router provided but it didnt work signal wasnt great
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Great for countryside and city.
- Nina (10/5): Great stay, definitely recommend. - Location perfect for Eddie and surrounding areas. Clean and friendly site. Lovely, well equipped, clean and comfortable caravan. 25mins drive to Edinburgh, bus stop also available directly outside site. Shop on site very basic.
- Kathleen (9/5): Private escape from the city - Great space out of the city! Super clean. Great family accommodation. Advertised with free Wi-Fi, but that did not exist. A bit of a walk to the bus station. Needed to have a reservation to just have drinks at the bar.
- Paul (7/5): Really enjoyed the location - Was very clean, bright, brilliant location, very easy to find using Google maps would come back again Some staff were quite rude at times but apart from that was a good stay
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Ania (9/5): Recommend for booking - The caravan was very clean N/a
- Anonymous (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff, some nice places to sit around in. The kitchen was dirty and poorly stocked, not enough cups, glasses, baking dishes or saucepans, they ran out of dishcloth and tea towels and couldn't restock them
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Beautiful quiet location with highland cows. - The location worked terrific to be able to hop on the Lothian bus into town. It was just a short walk up the hill and across the street to catch the bus.
The caravan itself was very clean and all the necessary bedding and towels were in the unit waiting for us. There was a slight problem with check in times since the listing is wrong. Check in time is 18:00/5:00pm, not what is listed. Also there is WI-FI available but there is a charge, it isn’t free. We talked to the front desk and were told they have written documentation asking this listing company to change the listing and it hasn’t been updated. No free WI-FI
- Yuqi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luka (8/5): Very good - The people were just the absolute best, great location with a busstop and beautiful, well-kept park Size of the beds, especially for us tall Dutch people lol
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carrie (3/5): The grounds were beautiful and the trailer was new, comfortable, clean and close to the bus to get into the city - The property was beautiful!! We loved the area surrounding the trailer, where we could take a walk. The trailer itself was immaculate, very comfortable! They did not give us an extra towel when we asked for one. We asked for a few more packets of coffee and they declined.
- Amit (9/5): Superb -
- Lucia (10/5): I definitely recommend it. Great accommodation, nice lady at reception. - Everything was excellent. Excellent house, superbly equipped, large living room, bedrooms comfortable, bathroom excellent, two toilets came in handy. The radiators warmed pleasantly, we were not cold. Pleasant environment in a beautiful green park. I definitely recommend it. Great accommodation, nice lady at reception who was always willing to help us with everything we needed. Thank you, we had an amazing time. Free wifi was not available. Valid wifi has bad sinal.
- Lesley (8/5): Lovely site - Lovely caravan great location for city ! Clean and roomy living area. Single beds better size for kids but managed ok. Great grounds shop and bar Instructions for speakers, Wi-Fi and heating be useful in plain English . Hooks in bedrooms for hanging be handy !
- Ariane (10/5): Great Place for a Family of 5 - Great place in a beautiful setting. Clean and new. Didn't use the kitchen but it was modern and nice. Small bedrooms but no shared walls like in a hotel or apartment. We enjoyed it. The location is a bit out of town but manageable with the busses. Still a bit of a walk to the bus stop. Be sure to communicate with the staff regarding check-in time if it's after office hours. They can arrange to leave a key.
- Magdalena (10/5): Great place to stay for camping or caravan stay - Place was lovely, caravan brend new, clean, easy access to public transport totally recommended Nothing
- Ceri (10/5): Happy memories. Excellent accommodation, excellent location. - Excellent location. Excellent public transport. Caravan was huge, comfortable and felt brand new. Would highly recommend.

- Opeyemi (10/5): Exceptional - Best caravan I have ever stayed, thoroughly enjoyed it! Direct bus to city centre.
- Christian (10/5): Excellent all round. Will stay again - Great location, lovely park size and nice caravan set up.
Great pub on site and all staff ( especially Gillian) where fantastic.
Mum had a nasty fall requiring Ambulance asistance and Gillian was fantastic helping on the night and also the aftercare. N/a
- Eve (9/5): Great value to visit Edinburgh - Very nice walks right on the property and they have their own two highland cows! The beds were not the most comfortable
- Sophie (8/5): Lovely static caravan on the edge of Edinburgh - Lovely interior soft furnishings There was no free WiFi
- Gritsas (8/5): Very good - The park was clean all amenities were there the staff were pleasant and accommodating. The bus service to the park was excellent. The caravan was clean and warm. The kitchen was well stocked but could have been better for having a tea pot, tea towel and oven gloves. The shower floor was a bit off putting as brown scale on the grouting. An information booklet would have been useful to tell you how to use the heating, oven and to connect to the WiFi. I wasted £12 and wasn't able to connect to the WiFi as the hub wasn't working. When asked at the office staff were a bit vague as to how to connect when in the caravan. In one of the bedrooms I noticed that the cupboard was very low over the end of the bed this would have been very uncomfortable if an adult was sleeping there. Unless they were very short.
- Ankit (6/5): Pleasant -
- Fajong (8/5): Review
Review of our stay - Location, cleanliness No space within the facility. Too expensive
- Barbara (8/5): A great stay meeting up with family. Prefer to stay at this location at quieter times. - Great location. Clean and spacious. Unable to get Wi-Fi. Instructions in the van did not work. Receptionist unable to offer any further help. Curtains in one of bedrooms did not meet in the middle.
- Louise (10/5): A little gem just out of the city - Everything was all ready to go as noted, all clean and couldn't ask for anything else. Thank you. It had on the website that a breakfast van would be on site during the fringe and then when asked where it was it was explained to us that they were competing too much with them so decided to not continue this but then breakfast wasn't available until 10am so had to get everything to make our own which was OK but just had hoped to get an easier option.
- Preeya (8/5): It was pretty good. - It was clean. The rooms were quite small.
- James (9/5): decent place to stay, clean and felt safe - no breakfast, location was ok would have been difficult to find without navman. but that would be commonj in most cities unless you stay in the city centre it was a very long walk when we needed to catch a bus, but the bus service was very good
- Sarah (9/5): Loved it thank you -
- Jack (10/5): perfect location friendly and helpful staff p - perfect location good facilities clean bluetooth speaker didn’t work in roof pin was changed and no note of it
- Arlene (9/5): Staff could’ve been more accommodating - Clean and quiet Staff reception could be more accommodating. Whenever we ask questions/guidance the lady in reception seem too busy to respond to us even when nobody was there except us.
- Christiana (9/5): Superb -
- Libin (9/5): Superb -
- Owen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pawel (10/5): Great stay with the family - clean quiet place very good for families with children friendly service and good bus connection to the city center

The staff at Mortonhall deserve a medal, promptly dealing with the matter, they quickly had us in the accommodation we thought we had booked.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- William (10/5): We Will be Back. - The warm welcome and assistance wen needed, The Holiday home was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The cold November weather!
