- Colohan (1/5): Booked in May, then when trying to enter the property no details on how to get in. Please avoid - Nothing, couldn't get in to the place. Host didn't provide any details on how to enter the stay until the morning after at which point we had to pay for another hotel. Have tried to get the money back through booking.com but they passed the blame onto the host and are unwilling to help. Booking.com asked to to contact the host for a refund and not heard from the host either Booked in May for a stay in August, brief stay while returning from a holiday. A week before host asked to change but agreed to proceed as my family and I were about to leave for holiday. A few days before asked how to enter the property didn't receive a response however host said the house hadn't been cleaned and what did we want to do. Tried to message again as host didn't provide any details on how to enter the stay until the morning after at which point we had to pay for another hotel. Have tried to query this with booking.com and aren't willing to do anything and just passing the blame to the host who doesn't respond to calls.

Freezer was left open before arrival which resulted in ice forming on the draws and unable to open draws and close freezer door
No TV downstairs

- Janine (1/5): - We were looking for accommodation during Storm Floris. We found this cottage and thought it would be a great idea to book it. After a two-hour drive, we went to the address listed on booking.com. There was a house there, run-down and with two cats in the window. We tried to contact the owner, but unfortunately, no one answered the phone. Shortly after, we received an email with a new address. We couldn't find it on Google. After asking again, we got a link for houses for sale. We wanted to cancel (since we couldn't find the house)... only for the fee of 90 pounds. We are still demanding a refund and are persisting.

- joanne (5/5): Too Expesive Wrong Postcode it a housing estate in Galston - One neighbour with the 2 dogs was lovely. 2 toilets Other neighbour played loud music at night .Wires showing from 2 light fittings .Coffee machine had mould.Dishwasher taped shut with maskin tape out of order written on it not sure if its ever worked as maskin tape was old and yellowing.Cutlery was dirty and not enough of it.Garden furniture aged would no sit on it .BBQ leaning against a wall leg broke grass growing out of it.Grass needed cutting.Front garden nappies and other rubbish on the unkempt lawn.Carpet gripper showing main bedroom could cut someones foot.Too expensive for a housing estate in Galston not Kilmarnock as the booking.com show.
- Malinda-ro (1/5): The worst I have encountered. - Nothing. Dirty and very musty-smelling throughout, mouldy coffee grinds in coffee machine, no hand rail on steep stairway, carpet on stairs coming away creating slipping risk, downstairs toilet light did not work, downstairs toilet door could not be shut, beds were not configured as promised, exposed electrical wiring in places, no private car parking as promised, front and back yards overgrown and strewn with rubbish, property was not at address originally advised, when we messaged owner about where the property was, having attended the originally stated location to find it was not correct, the owner said cleaner was at the property, which was well after check-in time. When we arrived, no cleaner present and no evidence of any cleaning activity. We decided the property was off such poor standard that we could not stay even a night.

- Les (1/5): Bad - We didn't stay in the accommodation, it was not the postcode advertised on the booking, the owner informed us that it was used for contractors. The area the house is situated in is a rough area of Galston not Kilmarnock, it needs a good refurbishment, to be fair to the owner he was quick in refunding the full amount paid.
- Jamie (1/5): Definitely not what is advertised especially for the price very poor standards. - After booking was given a different postcode than what’s on ad. When arrived there are 2pairs of dirty boots sitting outside front door inside is not up to standards arm on leather couch was ripped off telly did not work, bathroom door downstairs doesn’t close, carpet grippers on show, bathroom had a weird smell. Dishwasher had masking tape wrapped all around it. Bathroom window doesn’t lock properly. House was cold as was no instructions on how to work the heating. Open cupboard in one room had stuff all in it, the other room the wires on the ceiling light were all on show. Garden had rubbish all scattered in it. Have more photos but only lets you upload 4. Just very disappointed.
- Imogen (1/5): DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY. - Nothing. Property is advertised as being in Riccarton, Kilmarnock. Property Owner messaged us AFTER taking payment and told us a different address for the property. The house is NOT in Kilmarnock, it is in a very rough council scheme in Galston, several miles outside town. No parking around the actual location, at the top of a hill in back end of nowhere. No shops nearby and a pub that could easily have been used in Trainspotting.

The people who we rented it from checked in with us mid stay to make sure everything was OK which was appreciated My own fault for not checking but could use a bannister on the stairs! Would have been useful to have instruction manuals for the appliaces

- Grace (10/5): Exceptional - Was as expected, and the owner kept up with information that was requested and made sure everything we wanted was supplied. My initial finding on the website had a different postcode to where it was based.
This then had additional costs to our trip as where we ended up staying was a bit far to the venues we were to attend.
