- Richard (10/5): A delightful place to stay - The apartment is a delight - it's been lived in by someone with taste and style, so it isn't like a rental property furnished cheaply by IKEA. The art, objets and furnishings were very much to our taste and liking, so it was a place we were happy to be in when we were not touring.
It was spacious, with lots of cupboard space, and a lovely terrace with plants and sunshine for breakfasts.
The kitchen was old-school, but in a charming not a ratty way, and well-equipped. The bathroom has been renovated fairly recently and was nice.
The location is a 2-minute walk away from the metro, so super convenient. We loved staying there. The best endorsement I can give is that if we returned to Rome I'd stay there again without hesitation. Very little. I can't really think of anything I'd change. There is a bit of road noise but that would be the case anywhere reasonably central.

- Allen (10/5): Holiday in Rome - The location was spot on. 2min walk from the nearest metro station. The apartment was definitely quite retro in a good way, it had loads of character and having the outside terrace was superb. The entrance court yard is stunning was not expecting to see that as you enter through the first door. It is a top floor apartment and 118 steps to the top. There is a lift if you do not like stairs. We would definitely stay again.
P.s there is a fantastic Italian restaurant next to the entrance.
- Healy (9/5): Lovely apartment with terrace - Lovely apartment with terrace close to the Vatican. Great space for a family and the terrace was especially nice to have. Loved the books and artwork - felt like someone's home, not just a rented apartment. Very good experience overall.
- Kristen (6/5): So close to everything, small inconveniences made it less pleasant. - Great location, great terrace, lots of room to rest out and air conditioner. Elevator which was needed as the property is on the top floor. I wish it would have been clear that there are 3 beds (one queen, two twins that are pushed together). The twin beds were very uncomfortable and if you moved at all the crack in the middle got bigger and bigger. The place also could stand a good cleaning/ linens and all blankets need to be washed more thoroughly. No towels in kitchen or even paper towels to help keep things tidy, had to use bath hand towels for the kitchen when needed. Also no instructions for how we were to leave the apartment, other than for garbage.
- Jackie (10/5): It was amazing - This was the cutest apartment in Rome. It was very safe and just had the whole Italy feel. Nothing
- Nancy (9/5): Superb - Good location for restaurants and Vatican
- Alexey (9/5): Superb -
- Joanna (9/5): Felt like home away from home - A cosy flat that feels likeable real home in a great location. Stayed there over Christmas with my family. Everyone loved it. All was great
- Elizabeth (8/5): Quaint apartment in a good location - Homely accommodation with a quaint terrace to sit outside and catch the morning sun. Beds were comfortable and despite being on a street with several restaurants, the rooms were quiet. We liked the restaurant directly below us as they were very welcoming, friendly, served good coffee and the pizza was pretty good too. There was nothing much to dislike about the accommodation. We did get rather bitten by mosquitos (even in November!) on the terrace but the weather was a bit unusual for the time of year. Irrelevant to the accommodation, we bought the Rome Tourist Card provided by Tiqets to see various attractions and were stung to realise we'd paid 3x more than if we'd booked direct with each attraction - don't listen to the 'skip-the-line' stuff as it's outdated. If you buy tickets direct they will have timed entry and they manage the queues. Be forewarned, book direct in advance, and if you're struggling to get tickets to what you want to see, consider a tour. The Rome Tourist Card provides standard entry at the most inflated prices - please avoid.
- Barbora (8/5): Very good - Flat was very big, clean and we really enjoyed the balcony! :) In kitchen there was no dishwashing soap or dishwasher tablets to clean thé dishes.
- Christopher (10/5): Good for couples or small family as well. - Clean, close to restaurants, Vatican Museum etc and taxi rank not to far away.
Cute terrace , comfy bed with aircon.
Living area nice to chill on hot night with aircon. Nothing, if anything, rearranged some chairs so I don’t bump into them at night going to the toilet.
- Krisztián (8/5): Comfortable large flat close to St Peter's Cathedral and Castello San Angelo. - Good location, comfortable large flat, with AC-s in all rooms. Interesting furniture, with personal objects, books etc making the place personal. Large terrace, We missed a few things in the kitchen like a sponge, towels, dishwasher fluid etc. Furniture on the terrace was dirty, the floore on the terrace should be replaced, and the view is not that nice as imagined, but still okay with a lot of plants, and parrotts flying around.
- Heather (7/5): Good - well located for the metro. Close to the Vatican . walking distance to most attractions in the city.
Apartment felt very safe. Nice little roof top garden Would have been good to have some cleaning items such as washing up liquid , cloth and t towel.
- David (5/5): Good location but very tided, not clean and beds very uncomfortable Like sleeping in a wood. - Location Unclean
Rubbish left in apartment
Dirty sheets left in bottom of wardrobe
Toilet had not been cleaned
Ashtray full of butts on patio
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pesca (9/5): Superb -
- Rosemarie (10/5): Great location, light filled, lots of privacy, lovingly decorated, very charming building - Light filled with French doors and windows that open throughout. 2 separate bedrooms and a bathroom at the other end of the apartment, so it felt very private for all of us. The terrace was an extra and lovely space. The photos on the website are accurate. We also loved Cafe Luma on the corner downstairs- we treated it like our “lobby” bar. Owners were so friendly This is just a note on the noise in the neighborhood - it wasn’t unexpected because we are in a city, but thought I’d mention it. It’s a fun a lively neighborhood.
- Anna (9/5): Superb - The place is spacious and nicely furnished. The location is great! Contact with the host was smooth :) The terrace was a nice place to have meals. The kitchen was lacking some cleaning supplies (dishwasher tabs, kitchen towels, dish sponge) - we were using the kitchen so it was a bit inconvenient.
- Aron (9/5): Great place, well located with a lot of soul - It was a very nice place with a lot of soul. The balcony was really nice and the staff both friendly and helpful. The location was also fantastic, short to the metro, the Vatican and a lot of great restaurants close by There were a few things that were missing like wine glasses and a coffee machine that we thought would be essential things for all Italian appartments
- Anna (9/5): Superb - The location and the vibe of the apartment
- Martijn (9/5): Superb - Appartement has a lot of charm an nice terrace. It is not a luxury appartment but certainly comfortable enough. Location is great for a few days in Rome. We loved it and felt at home
- Zeng (10/5): Exceptional - A good place to live for a long time, with a lot of books, CDs, and good location. I think I will choose this place again when I go to Rome next time.
- Magne (9/5): Superb -
- Ilja (7/5): A classical Italian apartment that perfectly embodied the city's essence - The apartment radiated classical Italian charm. It featured traditional elements such as a Moka coffee maker, a gas stove, and a vast collection of books. It didn't aim for modern minimalism but embraced Italy's warmth and character.
Additionally, we relished the charming terrace adorned with flowers, under the enchanting night sky.
Despite being in a bustling city, our apartment offered peace and quiet. It insulated us from neighborly noise, providing a serene retreat. At night, we could still sense the city's pulse, adding to the charm.
Our week-long stay in this apartment was ideal for a taste of authentic Roman living. Its classical charm, simplicity, and tranquility suited those who seek a genuine Roman experience without the fuss of modern accommodations.
In summary, our week in Rome's classical Italian apartment was an essential part of our memorable trip, offering classical charm, tranquility, and an authentic Roman experience. If you crave the heart and soul of Rome, this apartment is a gem worth considering for your stay. While the apartment exuded cleanliness and possessed its unique charm, a more organized arrangement of kitchenware would enhance the overall experience. Navigating through an assortment of plates and glasses from various sets proved to be a minor challenge.
I couldn't help but yearn for the elegance of classical wine glasses during our stay.
As first-time visitors to the city, we would have greatly appreciated the convenience of QR codes, directing us either to TripAdvisor or Google Maps, for the recommended restaurants and coffee spots. This would have been a delightful addition to the already helpful guidebook thoughtfully provided by the host.

- Vanjantan (10/5): 4 nights in Rome, 2 couples - This apartment was fabulous. So spacious, well-equipped with everything you would need. Lovely big bedrooms and large bathroom. The terrace was an added bonus. Check in was easy, it has a lift and 2 flights of easy stairs. Located near the Vatican but within walking distance to most attractions, about 30-40 minutes to the Colosseum. Taxis were also easy to get from right outside the building. I would definitely stay there again. Nothing... we loved everything.
- Nikola (9/5): Superb -
- Coghlan (10/5): Great location. Lovely apartment. Fantastic city - Great location. 5 mins from Metro stop. Vatican is 10 mins away. The apartment has everything you need.
- Devrim (4/5): Nice pictures but disappointing apartment - Location was a few minutes from the Line A subway and walking distance to the Vatican City. Having air conditioning was a big plus in the summer heat.
The beds were extremely comfortable (we prefer firm mattresses) and rooms size was good.
The apartment has decent furniture and you can tell someone used to live there and put a lot of effort into making it a nice place to live and with good taste. The lift is for 2 people at a time and one more floor (top floor) you need to walk up. This won't be easy for everyone with baggage.
The apartment you can tell used to be nice but it wasn't well managed or cleaned. The photos on booking.com look nice because of professional photography but when checking in it certainly didn't live up to the pictures.
The unit had one bathroom which wasn't cleaned very well, and the drain of the shower was clogged meaning water rose up to your ankles when you showered. There was one roll of toilet paper for 4 people for 4 days, when we ran out and asked for more we were told to buy our own.
Because the building is old if you run the laundry while the a/c is on it will trip the circuit breaker and kill power, so you need to turn off a/c while doing laundry.
Despite paying a hefty cleaning fee part of the check out instructions are to empty the waste (downstairs, across the street, all separated Italian style). I don't understand why we need to take out the trash if we are paying cleaning fees. The welcome booklet explains the 4 trash categories but there is only one bin in the kitchen for trash, so you have to get plastic bags and make your own trash. The kitchen is not stocked at all (not even coffee, sugar or oil) and doesn't have paper towels or cleaning supplies.
The balcony features nicely among the marketing photos but it's not cleaned regularly so it's not really a spot to hang out or use.
We paid more than a 5 star hotel to have the convenience of an apartment but the value just wasn't there for what we paid for, we actually felt like we had significantly overpaid for what we got and it left a bad taste in our mouth. Next time we'll just do a hotel and know what we are getting.
- Daigneault (9/5): Feels like you’re staying in an artists apartment! Beautiful! - Very good location if spending extended time at the Vatican. Less than a 10 minute walk with direct side access. Also very close to a main road with many shops and restaurants. Although we did not use it, there is also subway access nearby. The property is on the 5th floor. Keep in mind European apartments count the first floor as floor 0. There was an elevator (small but can fit 2 people or 1 person with a large luggage). You do need to walk up one flight of stairs but they are very wide and easy to walk up. One of the beds I believe was a futon couch and you can feel a small gap in between. This bed was also a little stiff, but after a long day of walking the streets of Rome, it didn’t affect my ability to fall asleep. Only one bathroom so for a group of 4, if was a little tricky to coordinate showers, but overall nothing major to complain about.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Great location- near Metro
Good living room to sit in
A/C Bed was too hard in the second room.
- Julie (8/5): great location, value for money. - location and character nothing
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - Great host, very nice terrace, good localisation with local market and fabulous restaurants nearby
- Wai (8/5): awesome location - super location, feel very safe walking along the living area though it very close to tourists area. restaurants all around. and 2 nice food markets around if u would like to cook. it’s in the highest floor, just a tiny lift up to next floor then you need to walk another stairs up to your floor. not suitable to walking difficulties.
- Anna (8/5): Nice, cosy Place, if you want to live like a local - Great location, a lot of restaurants nearby. Close to centro storico. Cosy apartman, you fele like a local here. Nice terace. Relatively nem bathroom.
Good beds, very comfortable. Nothing provided. Like soap or shower gel in the bathroom. One roll of toilet papír for 3 nights for 3 people. we had to buy.
Same in the kitchen.
We had to buy things for washingvuo the dishes.
- Graziella (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about the apartment was sufficient. Beautiful and clean.
- Paterson (7/5): Good - The 136 steps would have been good to know about. The steps up to the flat, no tea, coffee water etc
- Carlo (1/5): dirty and uncomfortable stay - the location is great please be aware: elevator is not ADA compliant, it doesn’t fit a child stroller, 2 people max. it doesn’t reach the unit, it only reaches 4th floor but the apartment is at 5th level. there are about 30 extra steps to get to the property. The unit is dark, smelly and very dirty. It is full of objects covered in dust. the humidity is deep and the stucco is falling apart on the kitchen ceiling. master bedroom is facing the street and it is noisy at night. Bed mattresses are old and uncomfortable, linen/ blankets/pillows very dirty. one bathroom only. terrace is used as a storage, plants are all dead.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - , ,Everything was perfect! The location is fantastic, the accommodation is very friendly.
You can believe the pictures, this is the reality.
- Mihaela (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was amazing, the location is great. Communication with the host was easy and quick.
- Elena (9/5): Beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped apartment in a hood - The property manager was very friendly and informative! There was a bit of miscommunication with check-in, and we had to wait a bit longer than we would’ve liked to get into the property.
