• Stefan (7/5): Everything you need in good quality, but… - The owner is a really nice man and was always friendly and helpful. The building is very new. The room is spacious, and we received a free upgrade because the room we had originally booked faced the terrace of the nearby Smurf's cafe, and we expected some noise. However, this turned out not to be the case! At this Smurf’s Café, we had a good breakfast every day. There are a few restaurants in the area, and one that really stood out was Eggy's—Eggy makes delicious fish. There is a beach nearby where pelicans dive into the water, and we even found traces of turtles there. The building and the room are very sparsely designed. All the walls and floors are white, and there are no lamps—just bare light bulbs. The driveway is huge and covered only with gravel. There are no plants, no decorations, no paintings, so it feels very “cold” and dull. There is a “door” leading to the Smurf Café. Why not have a proper path and a better-quality door? If I were the hotel owner, I would collaborate with this café and even offer breakfast through Booking. And one more thing: please remove the plastic covering on the pillows. It really feels like you’re sleeping in a hospital. (To be honest, I removed them myself and later put them back.)

• Anonymous (10/5): Best place in Treasure Beach for comfort, convenience, and kindness! - I came from the States to stay at Demaroys for the Calabash literary festival and beyond, and it could not have been more perfect. Walking distance to the Calabash site, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Next door to Smurf's, the best breakfast place in the area, and right across the street from the beach at Frenchman's, other restaurants, and a small shop for groceries/snacks/etc. The room and bathroom were spotless, and came with great a/c, a small fridge with freezer, hot water, an electric kettle and coffee fixings, and a small balcony for drying towels and enjoying evening breezes. The hosts were ever available and very kind, sharing plums and mangoes, the occasional run into Black River for groceries, and a pick up from Luana, as well as connecting me with excellent and affordable drivers to and from Montego Bay. Because it was so hot already that time of year, the small pool was a lifesaver for me for cooling down when it became shaded in the afternoon. WiFi was persistent, and the hosts were quick to respond to any query. My cousins came from Kingston for a weekend and loved it too. I cannot recommend Demaroys highly enough!

There was complementary tea, and a kettle with cups, and a mini fridge which was great. I also like how close it was to everything, and food joints are just across the fence. The community felt safe enough to walk at night, which is also a big plus.

• Anna-kaye (10/5): It was absolutely wonderful and will return once I visit Treasure Beach. - The location was central to the Calabash Literacy Festival that I attended. Demaroys is also ideally located to access a variety of eateries, a studio for Yoga and hearing the ocean. The place was so quiet and as a woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe. I appreciated the warmth and kindness of the staff, even picking plums and sharing them with me. This will definitely be my go to place once I'm in Treasure Beach.

• Tracy (7/5): Good Value for Brief Getaway - Newly built. Room is exactly as pictured on website. Friendly check-in. Seamless checkout. Complimentary bottles of water in refrigerator on arrival. Mr Roy gave great recommendations of places to eat. Frenchmans Bay Restaurant is across the street and did not disappoint. Daily swim and snorkel at Billy's Bay. Mugs, a kettle, and instant coffee are provided. Good quality towels. Bring a french press and ground coffee if this is important to you. There is a seating area by the pool . Wifi slow. There was no daily housekeeping in a 3-night stay. The balcony is for standing only (too small for seating).
• Armin (9/5): Demaroys Treasure at the Beach - The concierge was giving us great recommendations for activities nearby and even arranged a pick-up for a trip to pelican bar. The beach is really close by and easily walkable with very few people. The bathroom door could not be locked and always swung open a bit when fully closed.
• Ever (9/5): Treasure Beach is Indeed a Treasure👌🏿 - Uncluttered clean ensuite room. Lovely floor tiling throughout the property. Quiet location yet super close (easy walking distance) to plenty of restaurants, bars, corner shop, gift shop + a tour company. Not so.much didn't like but I would have appreciated a TV in the room, a towel rail in the bathroom and a second sitting chair.

Could do with a sign on main road esp if arriving at dark. Next door to Smurfs cafe great for breakfast, lunch , dinner. Also Wellness centre, yoga every morning & wellness products for sale , food & goods . Priced for locals not overly expensive. Across the road from beach Wasn't given wifi details. Checked in late. Perhaps automatically give on piece of paper or scan Qr code so no-one forgets to ask or give. Bed very small & super high, mattress could be softer - personal preference. Could use tv in room , need rail for wet/ damp towels . Keep additional pillows in wardrobe maybe ?

I think jt was built recently so it might miss a bit of decoration. I believe this could become such an amazing place in the near future!

• Oshin (8/5): The stay was great, nothing to complain about. - I liked that it had a modern feel mixed with rustic touches in the rooms… I liked that they provided us with on the house red stripes for my partner and I on the first night. The security could’ve been better but I see that the property still has some more work to do and is in the process of getting it done. There was no provisions of towels and rags for bathing.

• Campbell (9/5): I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would definitely stay there again. - The room was spacious and clean. The place was also noise-free. Very ideal for a quick getaway for some peace and quiet. There were no towels in the bathroom and there was no television. I am not sure if the no television was by design as I did indicate that it was a peaceful and restful experience.

• Patricia (6/5): Good location - The hotel is in a prime location as it is accessible to some shops and there is plenty of choice for place to eat. The room is spacious and bright, with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room has a fridge which is very useful. The hotel does not have food, and would benefit from offering a continental type breakfast which is really easy to facilitate. At least guests can get breakfast from a nearby cafe or restaurant but the lack of breakfast should be reflected in the price. The place felt like it wasn't quite finished. Parts of the building and surrounding need to be sorted out. I would say that the hotel is a work in progress. The building is nice but the driveway lacks curb appeal! The towels need attention.
