• Geoffrey (7/5): Pleasant stay in the heart of old Florence - Very close to Santa Croce and the Uffizi, as well as shops, an excellent bakery and a small Carrefour. Marco, the owner, extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. It is in an old historic building so no lift and the apartment is on the second floor. Quite a climb with suitcases. There is also a steep staircase to the bedroom. The apartment is not recommended for older people or those with mobility issues. Kitchen space quite limited and the oven did not work.

Επιπλέον, η άνεση του διαμερίσματος σε συνδυασμό με την εξαιρετική του τοποθεσία συνέβαλαν θετικά στη συνολική μας εμπειρία. Δεν με ικανοποίησε το γεγονός ότι η ποσότητα του χαρτιού υγείας δεν ήταν επαρκής για τη διάρκεια της διαμονής μας. Για τις τρεις διανυκτερεύσεις είχαν διατεθεί μόλις τρία ρολά, ενώ δεν υπήρχε επιπλέον διαθέσιμο ούτε στον χώρο της κουζίνας, με αποτέλεσμα να μην επαρκέσουν μέχρι την αναχώρησή μας. Επιπλέον, ένα σημαντικό μειονέκτημα για εμένα ήταν η θερμοκρασία του χώρου, η οποία δεν ήταν ιδιαίτερα ζεστή. Η θέρμανση λειτουργούσε περιορισμένες ώρες μέσα στην ημέρα, με αποτέλεσμα να αισθανόμαστε οριακά κρύο και να χρειαστεί να χρησιμοποιήσουμε και το δεύτερο πάπλωμα που μας είχε παρασχεθεί. Τέλος, θα ήθελα να επισημάνω ότι είχαν διατεθεί μόνο δύο μικρά μπουκάλια σαμπουάν συνολικά, δηλαδή ένα για τον καθένα, κάτι που επίσης δεν ήταν επαρκές για διαμονή τριών ημερών. Επιπλέον, θα ήθελα να αναφέρω ότι η καθαριότητα θα μπορούσε να είναι σαφώς πιο προσεγμένη και λεπτομερής. Ενδεικτικά, πίσω από το πλυντήριο —το οποίο χρειάστηκε να μετακινήσω τυχαία όταν μου έπεσε ένα προσωπικό αντικείμενο— υπήρχε συσσωρευμένη σκόνη καθώς και αντικείμενα από προηγούμενους πελάτες.

The place is very spacious, comfortable and clean. Sofa bed was comfortable. The location was perfect. Just a short walk away from all the sights and it’s easy to take the bus to the train station if needed. It’s a three minute walk to a large carrefoure shop . There is nothing not to like it’s excellent. There could be a few more plugs in the kitchen !! We did mention this to the host and he agreed

Apartment is in an ideal location - Santa Croce is the sweet spot to stay in Florence as it is still close to all the attractions but away from all the tourist hoards. The stairs up to the loft bedroom may be a bit sketchy if you have mobility issues, or if you come home from dinner after a few too many drinks

My wife and I spent four wonderful days in Florence and were very pleased with our stay. The apartment was exactly what we hoped for — clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything was in good working order, including the plumbing and household appliances, which we know from experience is not always the case in short-term rentals. The kitchen was well equipped with enough dishes, pots, and utensils for everyday use. The location was also very convenient — close to the city center, with a good selection of shops and restaurants nearby. We especially appreciated the nearby city market, which had a great variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and ready-to-cook items like meat rolls, ravioli, and sauces. If we have the chance to visit Florence again, we would happily return to Marco’s place.

When you come to the place Marco welcomes you, explains everything and answers your questions about restaurants, shops, the city, etc. Everything was fine. The apartment looks the same as it is in the photos. The bathroom was clean, the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils and gadgets. The bed is comfy as well. The stairs are a little steep but you can handle them. The apartment is in the city centre in the old nice building and it is a quiet place. Nothing. We got everything what we paid for and something more.
• Hanna (7/5): Good - The owner of the apartment is a brilliant photographer. The apartment in the photo looks much nicer and newer than it actually is. It feels that design had created a creative-thinking person. In the reviews, it was written that it is very clean, but if you are a pedant, you are unlikely to be satisfied with dust on the shelves, the dishes that you had to rewash and a not very clean and old toilet brush. Not 10 points, but pretty normal. Definitely not suitable for staying with children, because the stairs to the second floor are dangerous. In the Kitchen is not comfortable to cook. There is salt and sugar and even a little coffee, but don't expect to have enough oil. Everything is quite old. You will need to pay a deposit of 150 euros and listen to a full instruction on how to use the devices. It is quite strange and not very pleasant. There is no place to hang outerwear. I saw a washing machine, but did not find powder or capsules for washing, as in other apartments. The deposit will be returned to you the next day if you do not break anything. But as a bonus, the owner will help you call a taxi if you ask. By taxi to the central station, it takes 12 minutes and the cost is 20 euros. You will have to pay 20 euros for a sofa bed. But it is worth saying that the sofa is quite comfortable and the bed is also good. The apartment is located in the center, it was quite scary to go home in the evening. Be careful with personal belongings and valuables. If you look like a tourist, remember, to be attentive . We were lucky, because there were no mosquitoes in March, although you will be provided with anti-mosquitoes spray in the apartment. Third floor without elevator. Deposit, check out (first time after many bookings), it was scary to get home in the evening, 20 euros for extra bed linen for the sofa. There were no hooks for outerwear. And the rules prohibit taking photos of the interior.

Apartment clean and had all amenities we needed. Bed was comfy but a little low compared to what we are used to. Stairs to reach apartment were up 2 levels. Okay for us but older people may struggle.

• Georgios (10/5): Cosy, functional apartment perfectly located in the historical centre of Florence - Location is fantastic, within the historical centre of Florence and at walking distance to nearly everything. The apartment is cosy and functional, good size and was very clean. Despite the location the apartment is mostly quiet. We liked the window on the roof offering a glimpse of the sky all day and night. Marco was a great host providing detailed instructions on everything. There was also great communication before and during our stay. He came to the apartment upon arrival at the agreed time to meet us and take care of practicalities and also at the end of the stay to inspect the apartment. He happily assisted us as I had to bring the car from the nearby paid parking (recommended by Marco) and load the car. Overall the apartment was very good value and we will stay here again if we visit Florence again without question. Nothing important really. Just a few notes for information to perspective travellers: Be aware that there is a deposit of 150 EUR in cash at checkin. I didn't realise this during booking but Marco infromed me before arrival. This is however nothing to be afraid of, it is just for the peace of mind of the owners. During checking out, Marco quickly inspected the apartment and return the deposit without any issue. Handling of the garbage and recyclables can require a bit of an effort in Italy in general. In this case I couldn't find the disposal location (it was marked in the instructions booklet in the apartment but has probably changed) but Marco once again assisted us. The apartment is inside the ZTL restricted traffic zone of Florence. If you plan to stay in the apartment with a car, please check the procedure of how to enter and where to park (private paid parking places) or you can end with very high fines. With a bit of planning though this is again a great place to be with a car!

A fantastic bakery was just 1 minute walk from the apartment and a great pizza place just about 2 minutes away, both recommended by the host. Within 5 minutes we could walk to the supermarket. Excellent restaurants were 2 minutes away, close to Santa Croce. The apartment was spacious and modern and very comfortable and well-equipped, though it was far too easy to eat out! • Mark (10/5): Amazing experience in the heart of old Firenze! - It is hard to describe how positively I was experienced during my stay in Macci apartment in Firenze! Let's start with localization - around 2 km from the main train station (Santa Maria Novella). You can reach it by foot, but you can catch a taxi from the train station (reasonable prices). Thanks Marco for the suggestion! All main sights at your fingertips - amazing Santa Croce basilica (2 min from apartments), Duomo 10 min and many others! Despite that we've been in the Old City Centre it was so quiet and peaceful during nights (I know what I'm saying, since I sleep poorly ;)) Apartment in amazing shape - all perfectly clean and cozy. Double bed - it was heaven to sleep there. All kitchen equipment available and ready to use. But I would like to emphasize that thanks to our host - Marco, we enjoy our stay much better! Thanks to your commitment (you welcomed us on the first day, explained everything about our stay) your friendliness and openness gave us a much better feeling about beautiful Firenze! • Megha (8/5): Very good - The wifi was excellent and Marco- the host was super helpful 1) The staircase to the bedroom can be a bit dangerous in the first place. 2) The beds were too low and the mattress was okayish. It was not that hard and we had slight backpains while sleeping. 3) We need to throw our own dustbins, which kinda does not make sense when we pay for cleaning too. And those municipality dustbins were like 5-7 mins walk from the apartment. 4) There is no lift to the second floor which can be a bit tiring to climb with suitcases and also if you have a baby stroller.
