• Bettina (10/5): - A Traditional hotel, a bit far from the center of town, but worth the bus or taxi drive. Traditional style rooms and an amazing onsen, also, the staff was super friendly. We recommend the half board, the food was delicious.

• Dagmar (10/5): Klassischer Ryokan - fast eine Zeitreise - Das feine Thermalbad war eine Wohltat - schade, dass wir nicht länger dort bleiben konnten. Das Frühstück war klassisch japanisch und wirklich toll - wunderschön präsentiert und toll gekocht. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfreich in jeder Hinsicht. Das TatamiZimmer war groß und es waren Jukatas für uns vorbereitet - ein echtes Erlebnis.
• Florian (8/5): - Het avondeten en ontbijt is subliem lokaal. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk en doet alles wat mogelijk is om het naar u zin te maken. Traditionele Japanse belevenis. Alles is zeer proper en in orde maar het begint langzaam noodzakelijk te worden om renovaties uit te voeren om de kwaliteit te kunnen behouden. De Futon op de Tatami is zeer hard, wat wij als Westerlingen niet gewend zijn. We hadden dit ook bewust geboekt, dus geen kritiek maar een aandachtspuntje.

• Marthijn (10/5): Amazing stay in Matsumoto - Staff was super nice, very spacious rooms, all facilities and amenities were taken care off. Onsen right in the hotel.
• Schng (8/5): A Ryokan that serves great meals! - If you looking for old rustic feel, this is the place. Although old, the room has no nasty smell. The place is quiet and good for light sleepers. Natural hot spring was great. Our stay included half board and both breakfast and dinner were really good. Definitely worth the price we paid for. Service was great, staff are polite and friendly and helpful if you need anything. Easy to find our way there as there are direct buses from Matsumoto station. It can get really hot in the night with the thick duvet unless you open the window. The Yukata managed to keep me warm without having to cover myself with the duvet. Hot spring amenities are somewhat lacking as they don't provide comb, shower cap or water dispenser in the room so you can see people looking for things like shower cap or comb. Do get your own before you head for the hot spring.

• debi (9/5): A true Japanese hospitality, you get the whole experience! - Authentic Japanese hospitality. Clean , good amenities, western beds were very comfy! We enjoyed the onsen and the massage couch. Staff very hospitable. We had a Japanese dinner on request, it was very traditional, but far too much in quantity. That made us feel bad thinking that so much good food is wasted . The room with Tatami futon - sleep was not comfortable.

• Irynna (10/5): Relaxing stay! - Absolutely loved our stay at Izumiso! We opted for no dinner and the staff gave us a map of their recommendations around the area, all within walking distance. The onsen was beautiful and relaxing It is a little further out from central Matsumoto and the buses aren't super punctual. However that is the charm of the countryside.

It helped a lot The traditional futon was hard and not comfortable to sleep. The room cost y without breakfast is very expensive
