Guest Reviews
- Nuhu Adamu (1/5): When I got there, the owner came out to tell me that she wasn’t ready for this booking so can’t allow me in. I had to lo - Did like anything about the property because she didn’t allow me in I couldn’t get access to the property
- mathew (1/5): Don’t go - Nothing They cancelled on me 2 hours before checking driving all the way from Sheffield they text which I didn’t see even if I did I was already 3 hours into my journey, I turned up to see the message greeted by nobody, I tried ringing the phone number but nobody answered, they text me saying to cancel on the app and they will refund me, me then explaining that I’ve drove from Sheffield, the told me to wait 25 minutes as the owners are on the way back, they said they’ve put the shepherds hut together for me, as we was shown around the hut I could instantly smell urine, there was a musky smell in the air and I was curious to see how clean the bedding was and the duvet and pillows was covered in black mould, pillows smelt of urine, the mattress had body fluid stains on with no mattress protection, there was no way i was sleeping here for obvious reasons I had to leave after 1 hour, I’ve tried to contact the owners about this and they ignore you. I had to spend more money and checked into a nearby travel lodge.
- Janille (9/5): Loved it!! And we will see you soon 🙂 - The freedom of being in the outdoor world. My autistic son had a ball!! Very beautiful surroundings. The animals in extreme close proximity to whist having food. Like over my shoulder close. But would not put me off coming again.
- Matei (3/5): - Nice location. Beautiful animals! Gary the goat is amazing and we loved spending time with him. We love Gary! No running water for 24 hours. We had to find the host to inform her, who didn't seem concerned/bothered. We found it difficult to find the farm as Google took us somewhere else. We called the host who seemed unable to help (we were a few minutes away). She said we were upgraded to a different cabin (Lamb) but when we found the site, there was noone there to greet us or welcome us and show us which cabin we had been upgraded to. We found a cabin that had a sheep sign and the word 'welcome' written in chalk on it on the outside, and sheep bedding so we figured that was it. It was on the third day that we learnt by ourselves that we were in the wrong cabin! We didn't see anyone for 2 days. There was a blood stain on one of the sheets. The cabin doors didn't lock so we were vulnerable at night and had to go out leaving our cabin unlocked. There was milk in the fridge that went out of date a couple of weeks ago, as well as a manky sandwich. Only one of the stove rings work. There was cereals provided in tupperware but all the lids were open so god knows when the facilities were last checked.

- Katja (10/5): - Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich.
Die ganze Farm war super und sehr ruhig.
Man hat dort Camping Feeling.Freilaufende Tiere die sehr zahm waren .Wir fanden es unvergesslich.und kommen aufjedenfall wieder.
- emma (10/5): A child’s paradise - My daughter absolutely loved being surrounded by the animals. They were very friendly so she was able to pet them and even better feed them!! The shepherd hut was comfortable and warm. Obviously as it’s a farm there was some mud and poop but that’s to be expected and didn’t deter us at all. All human areas were clean and tidy. Was a life saver having the indoor play area as it rained whilst we were there.
- Chacon-Dawson (6/5): Some good parts some not so good - The hot tube The manure on the area around the play items and, lack of clear instructions. No bubbles in the jacuzzi. The gentleman was smoking around children. Charged £25 cash for the hot tub when not working fully.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Really enjoyable stay. Loved the animals. - I loved the animals and the accommodation. It’s a beautiful location plenty of places nearby to explore. First time staying in something like this. Bed was really comfortable and pod was very clean. Waking up opening the door to see the animals was a bonus.
- Ffion (9/5): Would return - Second time staying in Chick, loved our stay just like last time. The animals, the facilities and how close shops are. Whilst looking for my sons teddy in the morning I looked under the double bed, there was a dummy, a baby bottle and a few cards ( bank card, loyalty cards) they seemed to have been there a while.
- Julia (10/5): Fantastic, and the host is very friendly. - The room is inside a farmyard with donkeys and alpaca, they are very friendly and adorable! We ate breakfast together with them. Not really
- Emma (8/5): Try enclosing all animals - It was a very quirky vibe, the lambs huts were fabulous, the animal enclosures were lovely, very well decorated, overall a nice place I assumed all animals would be enclosed but to my utter shock there were donkeys, an alpaca and 2 dogs running loose and sleeping in the same field as you... there is animal shit everywhere, all around the hut, in all the kids play areas, the animals literally follow you around, they can get into the communal kitchen which is extremely unhygienic... with an 18month with us we couldn't just leave him play due to the shit everywhere!
All donkeys looked unkept like they needed a groom and had flys stuck around their eyes, it was sad to see
- Damian (9/5): A whimsical little hut on a farm - who could ask for more? - Lovely, laid back staff with fantastic services - communal kitchen with kettle, toaster, cooker top, pots and pans, fridge, sink, plates, mugs, etc. dining seating area, open fire BBQ, play area, lots of fab animals. Clean, cosy, lush interior design in their cabins - beds comfortable enough for a couple of nights. a little maintenance here and there, but nothing to grumble about!
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - We went there to long but it was good 👍
- Debra (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely farm, quaint tiny lodge, bathroom and shower was shared but clean and shared outdoor kitchen. Friendly big dogs. A shy Alpaca lived in the field with the little lodges. Owners were friendly. Mattress could be a little firmer, but thats personal taste.
- Eleanor (9/5): Outdoor living at its finest! - I loved my stay. Really friendly guests - tea and biscuits on arrival. I got to feed the animals. Quirky place and outdoor living at its finest. Will definitely stay again. Thanks all. Not that it was an issue but tea towel in wash up area would have been useful. Also really difficult to find so more sign posting. So minor though so more a suggestion for further improvements.
- Kiki (1/5): Bad - Only the location was nice I don't know where to start facilities very poor the shower was either cold or very hot.
The hob wasn't working and the toys in the field weren't safe at all my son had an accident while was playing to trampoline.
The pod we stayed was too small for a family of four and I did mention 2 kids and 2 adults when I booked the place.
I wouldn't recommend this place.
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely lovely, cozy and beatiful.
- Gregor (8/5): Really great for an upgrade to camping and the kids had a blast! - Loved the fire pit and how much there was for kids to enjoy.
- Les (8/5): Very good - Hard to find but good once there Better directions
- Rares (6/5): Pleasant - The farm is beautiful, lovely animals and the design and colors of the little buildings for the animals and guests are nicely chose and done, the hospitality unfortunately was not amazing. The kitchen is unsanitary and unusuable (oven is dirty, microwave had fish oil inside, cutlery, dawers and overall furniture is dirty. The “livingroom” area is something we didn’t touch because of the chaos, spider webs everywhere and the couch that looked dirty. Our room was stylish, but at the time of the check-in (3:15 PM) was not ready, when we arrived back at 9PM the door was unlocked, no key was provided, plastic wrap left under the lamp, dust on the window stand (very close to where we slept), the beddings were clean, but super smelly (you do need to check on youtube how to sanitise the inside of your washing machine, because the beddings smelled like either they were left wet for 3 sunny days in the washing machine, or you washed your dogs beds before washing the beddings), the matress was okay, but not comfortable to sleep on. The toilet looked like it hasn’t been wasked for a few says. I woudn’t have a problem to sleep in such conditions if I were to be at my grandma’s little farm in the woods, but when you pay 60 pounds for a night, then you do expect some services to be provided. In all honesty, it was no communication before, during or after our stay, we only spoke with the owner’s partner, and even he was not expecting us, I appreciate it was Easter Sunday, but goven they said all the rooms were booked, they should have provide a minimum of hospitality or not provide availability on Easter.
I left it at 6 because it was somewhat clean and warm inside. Also the area is quite nice.
- Laura (7/5): Great farm in Pembrokeshire . - The locations is great . The staff is very friendly . Our hat was confortable . The place is ideal to go with kids . There are lovely farm animals and a great playroom . Our son enjoyed in this place . The place is nog very clean . The kitchen is not working very well and is unclean .
- Ffion (10/5): Definatley worth a visit - Absolutely brilliant. Definatley coming back in the summer. Brilliant for ALN children. My son is autistic and I didn't have to worry about him eloping as the field was secure and minimal people around. Maximum of 3 families at one time . Facilities were fab. And the playbarn was such a special touch. We loved seeing the animals and loads to do near by.
- Dagmar (9/5): Only stayed one night, but definitely can imagine more especially in good weather. Pod super comfortable, clean and warm - location in the nature at the farm
lovely animals around to watch
kids toys around to play with
very comfortable and clean pod
flexible check-in
parking -
- Qingyan (5/5): Novel however missed the mark. - Location is quite novel, you get to stay in a shepards hut surrounded by animals such as goats, ducks, pigs and an alpaca. The hut was sufficiently heated by a heater. The facilities either didn't work or were very unclean. There was no running water in the kitchen area to be able to make tea/coffee, the microwave was also smelly and unclean. However most dissapointing was that the hut itself was unclean and full of what I assume was dog hair. Getting up to use the shared toilet in the morning was interesting as you found yourself surrounded by 3 dogs on the way there, one of which jumps up on you. The hut is also quite dark as it is only lit by a lamp. The kids play area was also veyr unclean.
- Hari (10/5): Exceptional - Kids enjoyed a lot check in does not have clear location instruction. Late check in is little difficult
