De kamer die wij hadden was werkelijk prachtig, met een hele fijne buiten badkamer en een goed werkende airco. Het zwembad lag een beetje in de schaduw waardoor hij niet super warm was, heel fijn. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk met verse producten.

I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, so I really appreciated how peaceful and relaxing the space was. The hotel is tucked away in a quieter area, but still close to the beach and an easy walk or tuk tuk to plenty of food options

Классный балкон с креслами, столиком, также на нем можно посушить белье, стоит сушилка. Кондиционер отлично работает. Выдают пляжные полотенца. Район тихий, до пляжа 3 минуты ходьбы неспешным шагом Завтраки были очень сытными, вкусными. Отличное обслуживание! Персонал очень внимательный, за что огромное спасибо! Бассейн нам очень понравился. Глубина разная, есть где порезвиться детишкам и поплавать взрослым. На территорию отеля прибегают обезьянки. Не агрессивные и не наглые, очень милые. Видели варана, бурундуков и экзотических птиц. На территории очень много зелени. Отель очень уютный, не из дешевых, но он стоит того! Однозначно, что вернёмся ещё!!! Нет такого!

- Mark Bodna (10/5): Paradise Found - In two weeks travelling around Sri Lanka this was our favourite accomodation. The location is wonderful, not far from the main road and the beach but so quiet like being in an oasis. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable, and outdoor shower was amazing. The pool was fantastic and like a tropical resort surrounded with beautiful gardens. Breakfast was sensational and so large and filling. And the manager and her staff are exceptional in every way. They made us feel so welcomed and couldn't help us any more than they did and any small question or request was sorted out immediately with a smile. We'll definitely be staying here again next year when we return to Sri Lanka and staying longer when we do. Thank you for the happy memories. Only that we didn't stay longer
- Viktória (8/5): Nice quite stay for a few days - The room was very nice and quite big. Air conditioning was working well, the room had a nice big balcony, too. Staff was very friendly. They prepared a gluten free breakfast for me, when I let them know about my intolerance. The place is very quite off the main road but still a short tuk tuk ride from everything. The wifi was awful, only worked at specific points of the room but even that not all the time. Whichbwas an issue becuase service was also not great, mase ordering a taxi or just planning the day very hard. It would have been nice to have options for the breakfast and not have the same thing every day. No cleaning at all during my 3 nights. At least the trash should have been emptied out every day, my hand soap also ran out, refilling the bottled water would have also been nice. A bar or a restaurant with at least a few drink or snack options.

Der Pool ist auch sehr schön und die Unterkunft ist schön grün bewachsen. Zum Strand sind es wenige Gehminuten. Die Klimaanlage war leider zu kalt und nicht regulierbar (ohne zu warm, mit zu kalt). Der Fernseher war kaputt und die Mitarbeiter schienen dies zu wissen, bemühten sich aber nicht, den Zustand zu ändern.

- Santhushya (10/5): A wonderful hidden gem. Would highly recommend staying here to get an authentic, tropical retreat with luxury level comf - Absolutely everything. A lot of love, care and thought has been put into every aspect of the hotel. The lush greenery throughout the place made it a very calm and serene stay and the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were also big and comfy. We had a balcony room which was even better. Even though they informed us that there would be mosquitoes, we didn’t get bitten. The beds also had their own mosquito nets which helped a lot. The bathroom is also a treat for the eyes and wonderfully maintained with a mesh net above as it is an open shower. The whole stay had a very homely and warm feel because of the interior decorative pieces and elements that echoed Ceylon’s heritage. We also enjoyed our stay because of the staff who were very welcoming and accomodating. As part of the package, breakfast was included and each night they would ask us what we wanted the next day and they would endeavour to keep ready almost everything we requested. It is also conveniently located a small walk away from the main road. Slight improvements would be helpful. If the lights in the rooms functioned on a dimmer it would’ve helped us they were quite dim especially at night. Breakfast service could do with a few improvements with communicating what items were not available because we waited for a quite a bit of time for them to get back to us. We then had to follow up and only then were we informed.

- Frédéric (10/5): Idéal pour la plage d’Unawatuna et la visite de Galle - Nous avons passé deux nuits un peu improvisées à cause d’une prolongation imprévue de notre séjour et cet hôtel a été une excellente surprise. En retrait de la plage (à 100 mètres à pied) et au calme, dans un jardin ombragé avec une belle piscine, l’hôtel est superbe avec de grandes chambres et de beaux balcons (ou terrasses au rez-de-chaussée). Le personnel est très accueillant, le petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux. Une adresse que je recommande fortement, également idéale pour visiter Galle Fort. Rien

- Kevin (9/5): Very nicely designed - The room was on the first floor. The bathroom had a bathtub and was open at the top. Very nicely designed. The room was clean and beautiful. Unfortunately, the hairdryer didn’t work. We reported it, but nothing was changed. The water in the pool was quite cloudy. We were there for two days, and during that time no one went into the water. We could understand why, because we also consciously decided not to go in.

Obwohl man sehr bemüht war in jedem Zimmer einen eigenen Router zu setzen mit eigenem Wifi ist die Leistung zwar brauchbar aber meist äußerst bescheiden.

Terrasse très agréable et à l’abri des regards. Le petit-déjeuner est fabuleux, un vrai régal chaque matin et très copieux. Le personnel était vraiment adorable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’hôtel Aurora. Malheureusement l’insonorisation n’est pas optimale et tous les matins nous avons été réveillés par les aboiements des chiens des voisins (rien de grave et ils n’y peuvent rien).

- Sabrine (10/5): Un joyau caché à Unawatuna - Cet hôtel est un petit bijou ! À quelques pas de la route principale mais sans le bruit, c'est une oasis de tranquillité. Les chambres sont belles, confortables, dotées d'une grande salle de bain à ciel ouvert (vraiment génial) et d'une grande terrasse de laquelle nous avons eu la chance d'assister au ballet des singes le matin, un beau souvenir déjà ! Le personnel est adorable de gentillesse, le petit déjeuner est délicieux avec, chaque jour, une proposition différente en plus des fruits, toasts et œufs. L'hôtel est d'une propreté remarquable et le ménage dans les chambres est parfait. Un petit bémol sur l'eau de la douche que nous n'avons pas toujours eue chaude mais la pression est, elle, très bonne. Enfin, ne pas se fier aux 3 étoiles, cet hôtel en vaut au moins une de plus. Si nous revenons au Sri Lanka, nous ferons une halte à Unawatuna rien que pour le plaisir de séjourner à nouveau à l'Aurora.
- Ooshani (10/5): Beautiful peaceful oasis in the busy Unawatuna - What a gorgeous and relaxing hotel. It is quiet and peaceful surrounded by greenery. It was beautifully designed and decorated, everything in the room was comfortable (bed, balcony, bathroom). The staff were helpful and very responsive (the wifi wasn't working adequately but it was fixed within hours). I can't wait to return! I would have loved to have more Sri Lanka food options (including not only breakfast but maybe lunch/dinner). This is a minor point as I loved my stay immensely.

- Edward (9/5): Beautiful accommodation with unique character - Amazing property and service. Located less than 5 minutes from the beach. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and well thought out. They helped arrange transport from the airport and onward to our next location in Tangalle. The monkeys were amazing to see in the trees, and didn’t bother the guests at all. The only reason it’s not a 10/10 is that it’s quite a hectic road to walk down from hotel to beach, but that’s fairly normal for this area.

- Olivia (10/5): Amazing stay - The rooms and the pool area were even nicer than the pictures. The outdoor bathroom was a dream with great shower pressure and hot water as a bonus too! We had so much food included in the breakfast which was delicious! All the staff were so lovely and accomodating, then even let us use the pool area and store our bags for the day while we waited for our flight. Thankyou do an amazing stay :) Nothing

- anne (10/5): - Établissement situé au calme mais pourtant proche de la plage d'Unawatuna. Personnel très sympathique. L'hôtel est très propre et bien entretenu. La literie était très confortable. Très bons petits déjeuners. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la presence d'une douche accessible après le check out avant de prendre notre vol retour. Merci encore.

- Jessica (10/5): Un posto incantevole! - Onestamente? Tutto!!! La struttura migliore che abbiamo trovato nel nostro viaggio con rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Bellissimo hotel, bellissima camera. È immerso nella natura con le scimmiette che ti fanno compagnia a colazione. La posizione é ottima: un po defilato dal caos della strada ma a soli 3 minuti dalla spiaggia. In 15 minuti (camminando sulla spiaggia) sei in centro. Staffa gentilissimo. Colazione molto buona! Avremmo voluto allungare il nostro soggiorno 🥰 L’unica cosa da migliorare é l’insonorizzazione delle stanze al 1° piano: il tetto amplifica i rumori esterni quindi sia le scimmiette che giocano sul tetto ogni mattina sia le strutture / stanze accanto che urlano anche durante la notte. Ammetto che noi siamo stati sfortunati: abbiamo trovato dei vicini di stanza molto maleducati che stavano palesemente litigando da ore + la struttura affianco che stava facendo un party sul rooftop accanto. Sarebbe sicuramente tutto risolvibile isolando un po’ meglio (ma soprattutto e se le persone fossero un po’ più rispettose degli orari di silenzio) Ciò nonostante ritorneremmo molto volentieri all’hotel Aurora, ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo!

A little noisy from barking dogs & workmen from a local building site, around 6.30 every morning.

Pool with loungers. Wildlife to watch includes monkeys birds and shrews. Close to beach and restaurants. Bit tricky to find if you arrive in the dark.

- Eleonore (10/5): Super! - Super nettes Personal, saubere und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer sowie gutes Essen. Die Betten sehr sehr bequem. Das lokale Frühstück war super, aber nur auf Nachfrage möglich. Das "westliche" sah für uns nicht so attraktiv aus. Das lokale Frühstück war super lecker! Die Poolarea war schön, nur die Polster für die Liegen sollten vielleicht in der nächsten Zeit mal ausgetauscht werden. Leider war um die Ecke eine Baustelle (wie fast überall in Sri Lanka), aber sie hat uns nicht extrem gestört und auch das Hotel kann nichts dafür..

Bardzo dobre śniadanie, podawane błyskawicznie. Obsługa hotelu uprzejma, pomocna, uśmiechnięta. Pokój na drugim piętrze zapewnił maksimum prywatności. Cicho w nocy, no chyba że pies zaszczeka 😆.Niedaleko do plaży, do miasta około 1 km drogą. Nie było takiej rzeczy. Hotel spełnił w 100% nasze oczekiwania.

The room was beautiful, comfortable, and very romantic — the best accommodation we stayed in during our entire tour of Sri Lanka. Everything was spotless, with great amenities including bathrobes, slippers, pool towels, plenty of hot water, a fully equipped kitchen, TV, and a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. The room design was stunning, especially the unique green bathtub. Breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful with everything we needed. Highly recommended.

- Olesia (10/5): Восторг и благость! - Прекрасная территория. Вкусные завтраки. Очень вежливый персонал. Мы смогли сдать вещи в прачечную и получили чистое, глаженое и ароматное бельё. У нас сломался кондиционер, причем ночью. Нас тут же переселили в другой номер. Мы остались очень довольны пребыванием в Авроре. С радостью вернулись бы сюда. Семейство обезьян, которое приходит сюда пообедать — просто восторг. Кондиционер дует на кровать. Но мы просто занавешивали кровать простыней. На острове почти в каждом отеле кондиционер дует ровно на кровать, но с включенным кондиционером обычно и не спят.
- Jennifer (9/5): - Das Hotel war sehr sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war ausreichend und lecker. Die Anlage war sehr gepflegt und hat eine gute Lage. Zeitweise waren auch Affen anwesend. Das outdoor Badezimmer war ein Highlight und das Zimmer, sowie Handtücher/Bettwäsche haben frisch gerochen. Die Toilette war locker und wackelte.

- Julie (10/5): Absolutely Perfect - This is a truly perfect place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and in the most amazing gardens. It looks almost as spectacular at night when all lit up as it does in the day. Our room was lovely. Very comfortable bed, every facility you could wish for and an amazing open air shower. Monkeys play around in the trees outside the large verandah to our room and there are a complete myriad of birds to watch The staff are charming, helpful and provide wonderful service. The breakfast is superb and I cannot recommend the Aurora enough. It was everything I imagined a perfect hotel in Sri Lanka to be. There is also a great restaurant called the Sea Salt half way down the lane and a Wine Store at the end. Nothing. It was all perfect. We stayed a week. I would like to have stayed longer!
- Benedikt Bjarnason (10/5): Best night of our time in Sri lanka. - The staff were all wonderful and helped us setup massages at a nearby place, assist with booking a airport transit and decide on a restaurant for the evening. I was so impressed with the level of service. Nothing, everything was up to par.
