• Christophe (4/5): Décevant - Un accueil compliqué avec un chien qui vous montre d’entrée que vous n’êtes pas le bienvenu et un personnel qui vous regarde galérer avec vos bagages sans aucune aide. Un hôtel vide de clients où rien n’est en place (canapé du salon remplis des coussins de la terrasse….) et pourtant, une bien jolie piscine rendue impraticable par les innombrables mouches piquantes, le bruit du matériel agricole et l’odeur des pesticides déversés par le voisin Une vraie déception pour un hôtel 4 étoiles à 180€ tout de même en novembre. Bref, on a voulu abréger notre séjour d’une nuit mais la propriétaire n’a rien voulu entendre. Je déconseille fortement ce lieu même si l’endroit est de qualité. La note sera donc au niveau de l'accueil et de la considération qu'à la direction pour ses clients.  A éviter à tout prix

• Sabi (10/5): Ausgezeichnet!! - Eine außergewöhlich megatolle superfreundliche Gastgeberin!! Der Gast steht an 1. Stelle, so etwas hilfsbereites haben wir noch nicht oft erlebt. Das Haus ist mit so viel Liebe geschmückt, jedes Detail, ab der 1. Sekunde haben wir uns zu Hause gefühlt. Das Frühstück bietet alles was das Herz begehrt, super tolle Lage, himmlische Ruhe, super Sicht aufs Meer und zum relaxen ladet eine tolle Poollandschaft ein. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick war einfach wunderwunderschön! Die Gastgeberin hat uns so toll beraten, uns Touren empfohlen und uns geholfen die schönstes Orte an einem Tag zu besuchen. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!!

Ci ha consigliato un sacco di cose anche se il nostro soggiorno era solo di una notte , ma grazie ai suoi consigli abbiamo cenato in uno splendido ristorantino locale a scicli e abbiamo visitato Ragusa ibla percorrendo la vecchia strada che porta poi a Catania . Uno spettacolo ! Assolutamente un posto da ritornarci alla prima occasione utile !

Our host Cinzia was gracio - We loved it all, from the beautiful relaxing atmosphere, the pool, beautiful rooms and the food prepared by Nonna was exceptional! Faultless. • Maria (10/5): Charming, quiet, comfortable and clean, highly recommended! - Amazing stay. The location is perfect: quiet, green, with a nice breeze even in the scorching Sicilian summer. Clean swimming pool with a nice sea view. Rooms and common areas are very clean. Cinzia is lovely. The place has sophisticated charm and character and is also very relaxing and comfortable. The cherry on top is Ms Ombretta’s cooking: fresh, wholesome, healthy food every day, way better than any restaurants in the area! We really enjoyed our stay, Roccaseta is highly recommended! Special mention to Guendalina: we literally fell in love with her!

• Harriet (8/5): A relaxed, low key hotel with beautiful views was the perfect place to decompress. - This is a beautifully situated, very laid back, unpretentious hotel, with spacious and tastefully furnished rooms overlooking the sea, a nice pool with sun loungers and a dining terrace which shares the wonderful view. It'It is the ideal place to relax and decompress and do very little. Roccaseta is about 15-20 minutes from Scicli, a dramatically pretty little town with lots of good restaurants and a lively atmosphere at night. There are many other amazing towns including Ragusa, Noto and Modica within an hour's drive. The hotel provides lunch or dinner, in the form of a buffet, on request. Since driving back in the dark from Scicli or other neighbouring towns at night can be a little stressful, being able to eat at the hotel is great. However the food, which is basically plain but nice home cooking, is terribly overpriced at 25 euros per person and is not even plentiful -- within twenty minutes of 7.30 pm many of the dishes in the buffet are nearly empty and not refilled, and there is no proper dessert. For the same money or less you can have three courses in a good restaurant in Scicli. I found this disappointing as everything else was so great.

The swimming pool was clean although not big and the area and view were good. It was exceptionally clean. We came home one day to find a big bunch of keys in the our sliding door and open and when my partner and friend confronted the owner about it ,it was totally dismissed with no apologies and said she had to talk to other customers who were waiting to talk to her ,totally unprofessional. The place was too far out to walk to like the beach ,shops etc... There are too many flies outside eating area and pool . Lack of drinking water as the owner said we shouldn't drink tap water.
• Geoffrey (10/5): Relaxed vibe and fantastic place to unwind - What a glorious place to stay in the hot summer. The location was close to Sampieri beach and restaurants and not far to drive to the areas’ attractions or the ferry to Malta. The property was captivating with gorgeous gardens, covered parking area and paths leading down to the pool and massage area, complete with umbrellas and deck chairs. This was really a treat each afternoon after touristing! The hostess, Cinzia, was a delight and her staff were wonderful. The meals we had were delicious, the room was spacious with a fridge ( no freezer section) and the huge balcony verandah was a lovely place for meals overlooking down to the ocean. Love, love, loved our 3 night stay. Nothing- all was wonderful.
• Maria-elisabeth (10/5): Exceptional - RoccaSeta is situated in a beautiful and peaceful landscape with a wonderful seaview from the terrace and the pool. The welcome was warm and our room was nice. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning. The dinner buffet, that they offer, was more than perfect, we loved it, thanks to the excellent cook! We spent three relaxing days at RoccaSeta including sighteeing to some famous places. We can highly recommend this place. Thanks again to Cinzia and her team!
• Mark (10/5): Lovely, peaceful place to stay with easy access to a great beach at Sampieri - Breakfast was great, wide choice available and made even better by the lovely terrace overlooking the grounds and sea in the distance
• Carrie (10/5): Would come back to Sicily just to stay here..... - RoccaSetta is super special, a place for the discerning traveller. If you like tranquility, comfort, elegance, excellent food, with beautiful views then this is the place to be. Beautifully designed and laid out, superb surrounding gardens, stunning infinity pool with lots of beds, shades and space around. The room and shower room were beautiful, very comfortable with plenty of hanging space and a lovely large private patio to look at the view from rocking chairs (we had Room 5 which is a deluxe sea view so I can't speak for other rooms!). Trees give shade to the patio too. Both the small windows in the shower room and bedroom had mossie nets so they could be left open at night. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Cinzia the owner is incredibly helpful and such a superbly stylish designer. Breakfast is a very tasty buffet with home made foccacias and flat breads and the best cakes, as well as cheeses (the bestest freshest ricotta I ever tasted), prosciutto crudo, aubergine salad (oh I wish I had the recipe), omelettes, avocado bruschetta and so on. You can book lunch or supper, which is usually a cold buffet of salads with a meat (or vegetarian) to add, with a soup or minestra to start, and a small pud, all at a very reasonable price, as is a bottle of wine which you can take whenever as there is an honesty book. There are no burgers, chips and heavy fried foods here, just good tasty food using local produce...which you can alternate with pizza when you drive into town! Nothing that we didn't like but some tips.... It didn't bother us but the hotel is in an agricultural area so you do see polytunnel tops before the sea! You need to bring a portable electric kettle if like us you like a cuppa before breakfast and a late herbal tea in your room (you can get this in the main lounge but we prefer to have in room) Other reviewers complain about no road signage but the satnav gets you here perfectly and it makes it feel even more special. You need a car to get to a town/beach/restaurant
• Mary (10/5): Tranquil stay out in the countryside. - A quite stylish hotel set up in the hills with views down across Sampieri to the sea. Quiet and tranquil, with only about 10 rooms and it was full showing its popularity. Very nice hosts from the owner to the chefs, always smiling and ever helpful. They do a huge spread for breakfast of so many different freshly cooked things; they also offer a (largely vegetarian themed) degustation dinner, at a very reasonable price. Nice gardens and restful pool area.

The room was fabulous, we had the slightly smaller garden room, but it was plenty big enough with a large bathroom. Everything was spotless. The breakfast was very, very good. You could opt for lunch and/or dinner - we had dinner 2 of the nights - extremely good value and delicious.

• Rosalba (10/5): Perfect place to relax - This is the perfect place to relax: quiet, beautiful scenery, lots of space, comfortable rooms with ample outdoor seating areas. The wind literally did whisper through the pines! Our room was large with chairs, a sofa, and great bathroom with good walk-in shower. We also had an outdoor covered patio with chairs, tables, and sofa, overlooking the ocean in the distance. The ac worked well. The breakfast buffet was very good with some of the best homemade yogurt and sweets we had on our entire trip. It was lovely to start the day sipping a cappucino outside looking at the great view. Staff was extremely kind. We weren't as thrilled with Sampieri as we had anticipated, but Roccaseta is within easy driving distance of many other places that are truly lovely: Scicli, Marzamemi, Noto, Modica, Donnalucata, and Marina di Modica, among others The end table lights were fairly dim making it difficult to read in bed, but otherwise excellent stay.

• Deborah (10/5): Beautiful and welcoming hotel - Such a lovely place, with views down to the coast and a beautiful pool. The owner, Cinzia, and all the staff are incredibly helpful. Breakfast was a huge choice of local produce, savoury and sweet. Although there isn't a restaurant it's possible to order dinner for only 20 euros per head. There's also a great selection of local wines. Our room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. Cinzia goes out of her way to suggest things to do in the area. We loved her dog, Duke, too! Our room had slightly limited storage and surfaces to put things, and because we stayed for over a week we'd have appreciated more places to put things.

The owners were incredibly friendly and provided us with invaluable advice, ensuring we made the most of our time in the area. The thoughtful gesture of offering free drinks – including tea, water, and coffee – added a touch of luxury to the experience and exemplified their commitment to guest comfort. The pool area was a true highlight, providing a stunning sea view that left us in awe. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind, immersing ourselves in the serene surroundings. Breakfast was a delight, offering a wide array of options that catered to different preferences. From fresh fruit to local pastries, cheese, and salami, the spread was a true representation of Sicilian culinary delights. The whole place is superbly run by very friendly staff who speak excellent English. It's beautifully quiet and perfect for a relaxing stay. Roccaseta is very well placed for the beach and the amazingly beautiful neighbouring towns. You'll need a car for this place as it's off the beaten track of public transport, but we didn't see this as a negative. Our bathroom was a little small and dark, with not much space to put things down, but the shower was excellent.

Cinzia is such a lovely host and is super helpful with great advice. The room is spacious and comfortable with all you need, in a private atmosphere. The whole property is very beautiful and you can enjoy the day by the pool. The breakfast is super delicious with so many homemade, local things. Thanks a lot to Cinzia and all the lovely ladies working there. We had a wonderful time.

Only little suggestions, bedroom needs a chest of drawers, there’s a bit of a lack of storage space. USB plug next to the bed would be useful.
• Robbie (10/5): Elegant, Comfortable, A quality establishment - Everything! Breakfast was phenomenal! An epic degustion enjoyed on the balcony with bueatiful views. Loved the swimming pool, swam. Morning and evening. The dog is so sweet. Classy, quality establishment. Highlight of my visit to Sicily. Nothing. Wish I had got to meet the wife, unfortunately she was away ( she speaks English) Her husband said via Google translate, we would have a lot in common. Maybe I will just have to come back!
• Yael (10/5): Beautiful place near the beach and very close to the charming town of Scicli! loved it! - A beautifully designed renovated place. The rooms are lovely. We stayed in a room facing the sea and the view was spectacular. The room was modern, comfortable and carefully designed to fit the surroundings. There is a wonderful pool for warmer days and the breakfast was excellent.

• Larry (10/5): perfect hideaway to enjoy Sicilian countryside - you arrive looking at a fabulous building, you enter the “lobby” and you recognize the love put into this place, your cozy room wants you to stay forever, the backyard calms you down and let you fully relax. service is 5 stars! we had to leave

Facilities are great quality and the hosts shared incredibly useful information on what to visit and where to eat in the area. Just a short drive to Scicli and the seaside.
