• Caroline (10/5): Magniftiks ställe med en fin och hjärtlig känsla för detaljer - Älskade platsen, byggnaden, känslan in i minsta vrå. Det var en plats skapad av så mycket kärlek för detaljer vilket var magiskt. Rummet var allt vi behövde och sängen och kudde/täcken var sköna. Vi hängde på terassen och njut av lunget fast utsikten och livet runt om. Fina pooler! Vår airkondicener var förmodligen trasig, den lät konstigt och knäppte. Det burrade i hela rummet när vi hade på den. Men vi sa inget om det då, då vi "bara" stannade två nätter och stället väger upp betyget! Men kika gärna över den, vi bodde i Copacabana rummet!
• Elena (10/5): Incroyable ! - Magnifique maison au cœur de Santa Teresa. Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre sublime avec une vue incroyable sur le Corcovado, un vrai bonheur. La décoration, aussi bien dans la chambre que dans les espaces communs, est faite avec beaucoup de goût tout est beau et agréable. Le balcon et la piscine partagée sont également très appréciables, d’autant plus que les lieux restent calmes et donnent parfois l’impression d’être presque seuls. Mention spéciale pour la vue depuis le balcon. Le quartier de Santa Teresa est charmant, avec de très bons restaurants. Même s’il est en pente, aucun souci pour se déplacer à pied, sinon des Uber sont disponibles à toute heure ! Un grand merci à Angelica et à sa famille pour leur accueil. Communication fluide, grande réactivité et beaucoup de gentillesse, notamment le jour du départ où ils nous ont permis de profiter encore de la piscine et ont été très disponibles pour nous. En résumé : une expérience au top, avec un gros coup de cœur pour la décoration, la vue et l’accueil ainsi que les instructions d’arrivées.

Located in Santa Teresa with an incredible view and a nice shared swimming pool. We also loved the private pools in our other appartment! We had 2 apartments: the Ipanema apartment has a good layout and space for a family with 3 children. The kitchen arra is small, but enough for short stays. Unfortunately the dishes were not clean and there was no dish soap provided (what explained the oily film on the dishes) The furniture looks nice and well thought, but all the fabrics were dirty and had stains. Overall seemed the apartment needed maintenance (painting, cleaning of sofa and bed spreads). We enjoyed the terrace but could not sit outside in the sun because it was too hot and there was no parasol. The Casa Bahia apartment has an interesting layout with the outdoor kitchen. In theory it's a nice idea but in practice everything was very dirty. Not only from the construction that happened in the main area next to the pool but also cleaning did not happen (spider webs inside the drawers). The bedroom has a good space. Unfortunately there were a lot of small cockroaches. That's why I could not spend the whole stay in the apartment. When I told the lady that took care of the stay, there was no offer to change the room or support me with aids. Additionally there was a party the day before our arrival. The common area with pool was still dirty with employees glasses and dirt from the construction side.

• Flavia (8/5): gemütliche Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht - Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Man hat eine wunderbare Aussicht über Rio. Die Lage ist nicht optimal, wenn man nur wenige Tage in Rio hat, da man für überall hin ein taxi/uber braucht und es in Gehdistanz nicht viel Restaurants gibt für am Morgen oder Abend. Es gibt jedoch eine Küche in der Unterkunft. Es ist etwas unpersönlich, aber man kann alles per whatsapp fragen.

Super beau Facteur qu’ils ne peuvent changer mais à prendre en compte en réservant il est plus compliqué d’avoir des ubers à Santa Teresa. Les propriétaires n’étaient pas sur place, peut être ce pourquoi ça n’a pas été réglé mais nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude pendant nos 3 jours malgré l’avoir eu dit à celle qui s’occupe temporairement du logement
• Alana (6/5): - The property is designed very well, the gardens and views make it feel like a retreat. I really enjoyed the design of the rooms and the staff that work onsite are wonderful. During our stay, we were initially placed in a studio room directly next to on-site construction, without any prior notice that construction was taking place. While this was disappointing, the property manager was eventually very helpful in relocating us to another room and adjusting the price accordingly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, further issues arose in the new room. There was no hot water, and during the night the room flooded due to heavy rain. We contacted the property team for assistance regarding both matters, but received no response. What was particularly disappointing was the complete lack of acknowledgement or apology for the inconvenience caused.

Les peintures sont à refaire (trace au mur à l'interieur comme sur la terrasse), beaucoup de fourmis dans la cuisine. Photos sur le site d'équipement qui ne sont pas accessibles car appartenant au logement du propriétaire comme la piscine. Attention par forte pluie l'eau coule dans une des chambres.

• Myrthe (6/5): Mooi op het eerste gezicht maar door ontbrekende hygiëne minder dan verwacht. - Mooie inrichting en mooi huis. Bed comfortabel en alle faciliteiten aanwezig. Vooraf vriendelijk contact met dame van de locatie die haar best heeft gedaan ons vroeg in te checken. De accommodatie was niet goed schoon, op het eerste oog wel maar in veel hoeken nog stof en spinnenwebben. Tijdens ons verblijf van 3 nachten werd het verblijf geen één keer schoongemaakt of een prullenbak geleegd. We hebben zelf om schone handdoeken moeten vragen, welke ze toen wel zijn komen brengen. Naast de incheck en dit moment hebben we het hele verblijf niemand van het personeel gezien.

Merci beaucoup pour cette expérience lumineuse qui nous a fait vivre le Rio de Santa Teresa de la meilleure des façons, qui plus est à deux pas du resto Aprazivel :-))) Tout était parfait. • Maddy Ewing (9/5): - Beautifully designed hotel in Santa Teresa with great views and a somewhat rustic feel. Very accommodating host and other guests were friendly. We had an issue our first night due to inclement weather and the host immediately resolved it, which we greatly appreciated. The room we were upgraded to (apartment-style suite) was much nicer than the standard double room we were initially put in. The hotel itself is somewhere in between an Airbnb and a hotel (there’s no breakfast service, a communal kitchen is available, and no daily cleaning of rooms), which worked well for us as it’s likely reflected in the lower price. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Santa Teresa! Shower head in the initial standard double room we were put in was broken and water temperature/pressure was extremely difficult to control. Pools are not regularly cleaned and are more there for aesthetic purposes. Windows/doors not well sealed so you may have some debris flying in during windy days.

• sabrina (10/5): - Cet hôtel est une pépite. L’architecture est bluffante. La déco sublime. (Ça fait du bien dans la région) On s’y sens comme à la maison, les chambres sont très confortables. Le plus fou ? les différents points de vues entourés de verdure. Nous avons séjourné dans 2 chambres différentes et à chaque fois nous avons eu une petite surprise : douche avec vue presque panoramique sur toute la ville ou chambre avec une vue sur le Corcovado !C’est dingue. Rien, tout était absolument parfait.

A Angélica foi incrível durante toda a estadia: super atenciosa, sempre perguntando se eu precisava de algo e até oferecendo serviço de quarto, trocando minhas toalhas e garantindo meu conforto. A casa é linda, calma, limpa e muito bem organizada. Foi uma estadia muito acolhedora e tranquila. O único ponto de atenção é que a região de Santa Teresa tem muitas ladeiras, então é bom estar preparado para isso. No geral, amei e recomendo muito! Le studio est très confortable, bien équipé et idéalement situé pour découvrir Santa Teresa à pied. Un grand merci à Angélica pour son accueil chaleureux et sa disponibilité ! • Mª Eugenia (7/5): Alojamiento moderno en zona alternativa de Rio. - La decoración y el concepto del alojamiento me gustaron mucho. La ubicación si quieres optar por un viaje más aleternativo es ideal. Buenas vistas y habitación amplia. Sin servicio de desayuno, la limpieza un poco justa y la habitación tenía goteras lo cual tras una noche de fuertes lluvias hizo que entrara el agua dentro. Aunque nos ofrecieron un servicio de transporte desde el aeropuerto, el precio era alto y para mi gusto mostraron demasiada insistencia con la oferta.

• Judith M (7/5): Expensive, humid and loudly - Location (the favela views from the room). We can leave the luggage last day until waiting our flight hour. We need some extra stuff/and a little issue and the staff was so quick to response and fix it. The room and the clothes were damp all day. You can feel the humidity inside the bed and the room. The sounds of the street, the noises of the favelas, and airplanes flying overhead (several times throughout the night until late) were very loud inside the room because there are no constructed roof, just some "reeds/sticks" on the walls. We requested another room, but the noise was equally loud in all of them. The windows didn't close, and some were very deteriorated and broken. I think for the price we paid, I expected a more well-maintained room.

• Rachel (8/5): - We loved the space and light and quiet, quirky area with a great view from the roof terrace. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was good. The apartment was comfortable and we loved the shaded roof terrace and high ceilings downstairs. We also liked the style of furnishings and artistic feel. The kitchen was quite hard to use due its layout and very high shelves with no steps to stand on. It would have been easier if the fridge door had opened the opposite way. One of arm chairs in the sitting room was badly stained. It really needed cleaning.

I stayed in the studio with the outdoors kitchen. The love for traditional craft, art and design that has been put into is remarkable. The housekeeper was always only a Whatsapp message away and I received some good recommendations from the owner. -

• Frederick (8/5): Perfect location in Santa Teresa - The location is wonderful, vibrant yet peaceful, and the staff on site are responsive and helpful. I also appreciated the referrals to local services, like a great driver. We had some issues for two nights with a leaking roof and some malfunctioning electrical in one room. The owners and staff handled it well.

• Jean-Eric (9/5): Un séjour fantastique. Vraiment !!malgré mais 2 petits bémols, je recommande fortement le Samambaia. - Nous avons beaucoup aimés la décoration. Pas une faute de goût. La vue est incroyable!!! C'est relativement calme. Pour accéder au centre soit il faut marcher ou bien vous faites appelle à un taxi. L'accueil est très chaleureux, merci Angélica. Dommage, il n'y a pas d'interrupteur lumière dans les toilettes. Si on se réveille la nuit, on est obligé d'allumer la lumière dans la salle de bains au risque de réveiller son partenaire. Difficultés à comprendre la mécanisme de la poire de douche mais ce n'est qu'un détail.

Fællesrummene var også fine. På mit værelse var døren og vinduet ud til meget utæt. Så det blæste ind. Og der var også en del larm fra gaden, der ikke blev isoleret, fordi det var så luftigt. Poolen er meget lille, bare så man ved det.

Und auch auf die Stadt und die naheliegenden Favelas! Eigentlich war an der Unterkunft nichts auszusetzen! Uber bestellen war nie ein Problem! Man sollte nur Acht geben, beim Spazieren oder wenn man mit einem eigenen Auto unterwegs ist und nicht unabsichtlich in die naheliegenden Favelas reinfahren/spazieren!

L'emplacement est parfait à 5 min à pied du centre de santa teresa (boutiques, restaurants). Il y a un petit magasin juste à côté pour le nécessaire pour le petit dejeuner et repas. Le quartier est très sympa. Un petit havre de paix après des journées bien remplies à visiter Rio. Très bon contact avec les propriétaires et Angéliqua avec de bonnes recommandations (taxi pour l'aéroport, transfert pour paraty). Rien!
• martina (6/5): Non ritengo che l’esperienza valga il prezzo richiesto, seppur la struttura sia meravigliosa, il problema dell’umidità i - Ho trovato la casa meravigliosa, gli spazi arredati con gusto, molto ampi e dallo stile ricercato. La camera (corcovado) era fastidiosamente umida, gli asciugamani utilizzati al mattino alla sera risultavano ancora bagnati, le finestre al nostro risveglio erano bagnate internamente, odore quasi di muffa nella stanza. Angelica, che se non erro é la custode che vive lì con la sua famiglia, è l’unica a cui poter fare riferimento presso la struttura e non parla inglese. Seppur carinissima e disponibile, ho trovato poca professionalità. Ho ricevuto tanti messaggi in prossimità del mio arrivo per chiedere info che avevo già fornito: due volte per fare check in a distanza di 10 giorni e 3 giorni dal mio arrivo (check in non ho capito in che senso) e due volte per gli orari che avevo anche già fornito in piattaforma Booking, molto scomodo il fatto che non c’è un citofono da poter suonare all’esterno e infatti nonostante fossi stata super puntuale, ho dovuto attendere che ci aprisse almeno 10 minuti.

• karine (7/5): Superbe demeure mais entretien à revoir . - Superbe demeure. Décoration intérieure faite avec beaucoup de goût et originalité. Quartier typique et vivant. Notre chambre demanderait un peu d entretien car le contour du sommier était très sale, les chaises idem , les coussins tachés. L accueil était quasi inexistant , limite antipathique( dommage , absolument pas à la hauteur de l établissement). Nous avons failli rester dehors la nuit car avions perdu le bip pour entrer et personne ne nous a répondu avant 3 h du matin ! ( heureusement nous l avons retrouvé dehors !!) . Nous avons demandé plusieurs fois quelques conseils, nous n avions jamais de retour positif ( limite insolent ), pour faire une machine à laver cela coûte quand même 30 euro et les tâches sont toujours présentes ( chercher l erreur ) et enfin , nous n avons pas eu d eau chaude pendant 2 jours !!!! Bref, cela aurait pu être formidable car la maison est fabuleuse mais cela a été médiocre . Dommage ….
