Guest Reviews
- De Grave (6/5): - De ligging, maar Huacachina is niet groot. Geen direct lichtinval en beetje vervallen accomodatie/badkamer.
- Federico (10/5): -
- Harriet (10/5): Don’t miss out on staying here in - Can’t recommend this Hostal enough if you’re staying in this area. The food is absolutely amazing and reminded us of Home in the Western world with good coffee and good bread and bacon. Facilities are as expected and the rooms are very characterful can get a little hot but a fan is provided. The staff and the host are probably the best we’ve come across and super helpful.
- Hugo (7/5): -
- Rosa Maria (10/5): - Excelente ubicacion, limpio comodo y el chico que nos atendio fue muy amable, y lo bueno tambien es que tiene una cafeteria con un buen menu. Nada
- Darwin V (9/5): Very good - Todo muy bien. Cómodo , limpio y a buen precio
- Sagarkumar Jayeshbhai (10/5): - They transferred us to some other hotel of the same owner as Hawka is a hostel and there' isn't a private room available there and those rooms were great, 2 queen beds and comfortable sleep, room was clean, good option for budget Low Water pressure in taps, the washroom smelled a bit, there was a window which was accessible from the neighboring room as well, lighting could've been better.
Good option for someone looking for budget accommodation for Faimily or couple
- Natalia (10/5): Clean and convenient - Shared bathroom and payed for two people despite using just one of the two single beds available
- Shantal (10/5): - Excellent staff service.Excellent location.Excellent food!
- Justine (9/5): -
- Isabell (4/5): Disappointing - There’s only one bathroom, and it smells like pee 24/7. The rooms are very basic, with dirt falling from the ceiling — and to top it off, the staff couldn’t be less friendly.
- Thomas (6/5): Pleasant - Cafe was very good in their menu offerings. No hot water.
- Holly (10/5): Comfortable stay, good value for money, nice breakfast and very nice staff. - The man at reception (sadly we didn’t get his name) was really nice and helpful (thank you!). The room had everything you needed and the full length window into the courtyard was very nice. The breakfast was in another place but we didn’t mind the short walk, and the breakfast itself was really nice (freshly made juice, nice bread, eggs, coffee etc) on a terrace with a new view of the oasis and dunes. The location was good and there was a nice restaurant and cafe either side. For the price with the breakfast it was good value. One of the beds was abit springy but nothing too bad. There was only one bathroom with shower and toilet in the same room but I never had to wait too long to use it as it’s not a big place with lots of rooms.
- Callum (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very accomodating and kind. Even letting me return to used the shared bathroom after a pool with too much chlorine stained my body. The full-length window to the beautiful courtyard was a fantastic bonus too! Nothing, if was really comfortable and excellent value for money.
- Sophie (6/5): Basic hostel. Fine if you want something cheap - Very basic hostel. Fine if you want something cheap in Huacachina but don’t expect anything else other than just a basic dull room. Breakfast was 2 eggs, coffee or tea, juice and bread which was nice. Located right in the oasis and across the road from the wild rover if you want to party then come back to somewhere chill. Wifi was good. Not the cleanest, bathroom smelt funky.
- Joanne (8/5): Good value for the money - Nice quiet property with spacious rooms and a big shared bathroom.
- Fran (6/5): Pleasant - Good breakfast, although you had to walk to another hostel to get it. Beds were comfortable. No one at reception when we arrived in middle of the afternoon. Poor facilities in room (no bin).
- Guia (7/5): Good - Nice
- Marli (7/5): Good - Great breakfast, comfortable beds The shared bathroom was really dirty
The floors in the room were dusty and there was no wastebasket so you had to use the one in the bathroom
- Mia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susanagost (9/5): Perfect value for money - We just stayed one night but it was great. We arrived early in the morning to Ica and they picked us up for free!
Then they upgraded our room for the same price and Sonia took really good care of us! She went with us to buy our next bus ticket, she let us change the breakfast day and she was very attentive when I felt sick at night, she also called a doctor to come and check on me.
Breakfast was really good, one of the best we had in months. Only thing to comment is that the water presure was weak
- Tom (4/5): Disappointing - No reception.. eventually guy arrived with credit card machine. I refused to pay until I had seen USD 100 room. Looked like my garage with beds pushed in. Bathroom was not good. We left. He found us another place and cancelled our stay which we were grateful for.
- Leanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreea (8/5): Very good - The accomodation was well located and the personal very courteous.
- Elisa (10/5): Exceptional - It really looks like the pictures they posted.
I was very positively surprised, it had everything we needed: bid window in the room, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was fine, cold and warm water in the shower and the towels were soft and had a good smell.
Breakfast was also delicious: Avocado, bread, olives, eggs, juice, coffee, cheese, marmalade and butter.
Breakfast is held in another location (I found it strange at first) you have to walk maybe 3-5 minutes to get there but it's worth it!
We could pay by card without the typical 5% more.
