Guest Reviews
- Kevin (10/5): - Nice clean and comfortable property Nothing
- Luci (10/5): - Super clean, modern and cosy. Perfect little place to stay.
- Joshua (10/5): This place is better than a home away from home. - This property is tucked away down a street rarely traveled. The house was absolutely lovely! The owners have a tasteful decorating style that contributed to our feeling of peace as we stayed there. They thought of every detail and provided a very thoughtfully provided welcome book with valuable advice. We followed the advice provided for two of our meals and had two of the most delicious meals that we have ever had. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave when our stay was over. I could have happily lived here for two more weeks if my life back home permitted it.
- Peter (8/5): Really nice and comfortable, just what was needed whilst working away from home - How simple it was to gain access and very clean. Curtains could do with blocking light out a bit more
- Balvir (10/5): A wonderful experience - Location was nice and quiet
- Susan (9/5): Pretty and Comfortable Cottage - Trevose is a beautifully decorated and sparkling clean cosy little cottage just outside the main town of Wrexham. The beds and sofas were very comfy, linens and towels were nice quality, and the cottage had everything we needed. A designated parking space is directly opposite the front of the cottage, and the welcome snacks were very much appreciated, as were the thoughtful additions of toiletries in the bathroom.
We had occasion to speak to the host, Tim ( my husband lost his car keys, our home keys plus the key to Trevose somewhere in Chester), and he was very helpful and quickly had a solution. Previously we had had to rearrange our dates due to family sickness and Tim was nothing but kind, sympathetic and helpful. Not an issue for us but the stairs in the cottage, being a period home, are VERY steep and would not be suitable for someone with mobility problems. This would be very difficult as the only lavatory is situated upstairs.
This is the only reason I have given 9 rather than 10 out of 10 for Trevose really; we were only three guests in our party but if we had booked for the maximum capacity of six guests everyone trying to share one loo could be tricky.
- Yumiko (9/5): Cozy - A lovely place to stay, warm, well lit, comfortable.
- Deanne (10/5): Lovely cottage - Lovely furnishings
Great kitchen and bathroom
Comfortable beds
Good size living room
Great communication 3rd bedroom was off the kitchen
Not enough comfortable seating for 6 people
- Janet (8/5): Very good - Location fabulous, decor tasteful and fresh. Cottage needs a 2nd toilet. 3rd downstairs bedroom felt a little damp and there wasn't a door curtain or blind. Not enough lounge chairs for 6 people.
- Tom (9/5): Superb - house was very clean and spacious.
- David (9/5): Excellent stay in a fresh , clean, modern house - Good sized accommodation and very clean Down stairs bedroom needs a mirror , curtain over glass door and hanging space
- Abolarinwa (10/5): Exceptional - Space utilisation was excellent
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional - Cute, completely redone cottage on a quiet, rural street. A great way to experience North Wales! We loved the modern, spacious kitchen. There's a beautiful park with walking trails close by.
- Jodie (10/5): Excellent stay at this beautiful property. Such a lovely comfortable cosy cottage - Beautiful decor and exceptionally clean, fantastic location Nothing
- Max (10/5): Lovely cottage nestled in the beautiful countryside - Well furnished, modern and cosy! Tastefully styled and really clean Nothing to really complain about - only one thing would be to just cut the hedge back as was a little hard to get the car on drive without scratching the paint …. But this is absolutely minor and and easy fix
- Helen (10/5): Absolutely fabulous stay loved the it - It was very clean all amenities were brilliant all round lovely stay couldn’t fault the property 5 star Nothing
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant stay - Nice property, well-appointed and comfortable. Limited attractions on the doorstep
- Deborah (9/5): Had the best sleep I’ve had for a long time - It was beautiful and relaxing x The air fresheners were a little too strong
- Elaine (8/5): A pleasant short break - It was newly decorated and tastefully furnished. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. The heating worked well and quickly. We had a pleasant enough stay. Another armchair is needed really for four people to be comfortable (there are beds to sleep five). The TV was a bit small with very welcome access to Netflix but placed too high so you got a crick in your neck watching it for any length of time.
The address of the property was confusing. Our satnav sent us down the wrong, very narrow, Lower Lane near Wrexham (quite a hairy experience) so always use the postcode and drop the Lower Lane. Google maps calls it Willow Cottages.
The outside area at the back has a leaking drain with standing water which would get smelly and attract flies in warm weather. We didn't have very warm weather so not an immediate problem for us but you wouldn't want your toddler splashing in it. All these things could be easily sorted by the owners so I apologise for nitpicking but unless you stay in a place you wouldn't necessarily notice.
- Laura (10/5): Lovely property, very comfy beds - Beautifully clean and great location We missed normal coffee or a coffee machine!
- Jamie (10/5): great stay, great views - this place is hands down the best cottage we’ve ever rented nothing
- Frances (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful character property close to the local Lead Mines and a short car ride away from Wrexham centre . Imaculate interior, comfortable and spacious, with absolutely everything you need for a blissful stay. Perfect for families, we stayed with our teenagers who loved the property. So many little touches that made this property very special indeed! We will be returning next year for sure. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
