Guest Reviews
- Sally (8/5): - Perfect location as we needed to be off early for the Skomer ferry.
Easy to find and lovely and peaceful.
Plenty of parking.
- Chris T25 (9/5): - Vickers is in a lovely, quiet spot, with really nice owners. Great location to explore from without the crowds. We couldn't stay longer.
- Michelle (7/5): - Lovely stained glass and decoration . Kitchen well equipped. Bathroom shelving limited. No spare toilet roll. Problem with water in the area when we arrived
- Keith (10/5): Memorable short stay in a well appointed and thoughtful comfortable accommodation. - Location nearby to Skomer Island; great facilities and very helpful and friendly host Kelly. Nothing
- abbie (5/5): - Location and value were amazing for visiting skomer. Was basic as expected fir cost but fine for somewhere to sleep Property kitchen was clean but huge amount of dog hair all over the rugs and sofa, cobwebs and dust along skirting especially in bathroom and on walls and bed valance was also covered in dirty marks. Room above bedroom was super noisy and kept us awake with dog running around dropping things
- Atri (5/5): -
- sng (10/5): - The host was extremely helpful especially when I mentioned that I didn’t know how the heater works. She also gave us suggestions on where to go when we had some sudden changes to our itinerary
- David (10/5): Perfect for Skomer visits - Perfect setting and a beautiful well kept place. Puffins were a lovely touch given the location being so close to the Skomer landings.
- Jansen (10/5): Cute, quite and rustic - Beautiful rustic place, very unique and beautiful location
The owner were very down to earth and friendly
And the extra stuff you can buy we definitely worth the money and made it that little bit cuter No full kitchen so was abit awkward to make food in the morning but we made it work
- Aileen (8/5): -
- Stacey (7/5): - Perfect location to see Skomer. Missing some essentials to make it the best stay. Noisy from the main house boiler and didn't shut off until 11pm so impacted sleep.
- Nicola (9/5): - Perfect location for our 2 night stay, down a country lane, lovely and quiet.
Dog friendly, lots of lovely walks and beaches within a short drive which our dog loved.
Super friendly hosts, great comfy beds. Will book again next time we are in the area.
- Vanessa (8/5): Excellent host and stunning short break - Stunning area, host was so friendly and helpful, bed was very comfy and kitchen facilities were perfect for a short stay Sofa update would make the whole stay more comfortable
- Awwad (1/5): When I check in I found there is very bad smell in the room and there is no mobile network there is no WiFi as well afte - Nothing to like I even not stay there I lost my money as well I leave the property immediately
No internet , bad smell in the room Bad smell, no internet
- Trudy (7/5): - comfy bed
- Anirudh (9/5): - Very clean, exactly as shown in pictures. Very comfortable. Toiletries and towels provided. Easy check-in and check out. Good directions to find the place provided. It's a bit cold but plenty of blankets and extra heaters provided.
- Rebecca (6/5): Cute - It was a cute place to stay, chickens came to visit us too. Nice location. The dogs barking alot in the morning.
It was a bit chilly
- Jack (10/5): -
- richardelliott (8/5): Wet, windy but well worth it. - Walked quiet country lane to reach coast path. Saw a pair of choughs on cliff.
Host supplied extra blankets/wraps and heaters as well as central heating.
Also host left washing up liquid/tea towel, tea/coffee/sugar plus lots of bathroom wash products. Pleasant penguin themed decor.
- Alexandra (8/5): - Lovely location. Perfect little annexe to spend a few days. Nice and clean, comfortable and cosy. My only complaint was how much noise was coming from the main house (attached to and above the annexe) between 9pm and about 9.40pm - banging, stamping up and down stairs, and shouting. This wouldn't bother everyone, but as I had a young child with me he found he couldn't sleep until they had gone quiet. We didn't hear as much noise last time we stayed here.
- Bernadett (10/5): - Perfect place to escape from city life. Close to Skomer and beautiful beaches.
- Adrian (8/5): Great little getaway . Great value. - Great location to coast and beaches. Really friendly owners and understanding when had issue with leaking roof.
Plenty of room inside and all you need was there for a weeks stay.
Look to revisit next year after work on roof n windows completed. Had issue with rain water through roof, but they are closed in Oct to replace glass roof n windows..
Very apologetic and was work in progress.
Don't let it put you off.
- Ruth (9/5): - Comfortable bed. Facilities great. Great walks for my Jack Russell. .Nice hot shower. Nothing i didn't like
- Churchill (7/5): - Location was great, lovely area, excellent views Roof leaked in the front room
- meng (9/5): 性价比高 - 很安静的私人住宅,停车方便,厨具齐全,卧室有电暖器。自助入住,全程没有见过房东,我非常喜欢这样的民宿! 卧室有异味
- Richard (9/5): Really enjoyed my stay. Hosts were really helpful with providing local recommendations -
- Birkett (8/5): -
- Marek (10/5): Very nice - Lovely place and Kelly is reactive and friendly. I recommend 👌
- Christie (10/5): Fabulous and flexible - The mini apartment was clean and perfect for a group of 3.The host was friendly and helpful. It was also really flexible to our needs as we couldn't check in until later in the evening but retrieving the key was so simple. Nothing
- Emmett (7/5): Great location, and perfect for families with dogs - Loved the location, very dog friendly place. Great place to visit beaches from. The property just needs a few tweaks to make it perfect.
- Chris (8/5): A great stay - Great location, comfortable accommodation.
Air fryer a great idea. Nothing
- Debbie (10/5): Lovely apartment - Just like the pictures, clean,
and good location for boat trip to skomer
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Konstantin (8/5): Great value for money -
- Sheila (7/5): Great location for Skomer Island - The location was ideal for a visit to Skomer Island. The bed was comfy. It was a quiet area. We knew that it had a sceptic tank. We were careful only to put toilet paper down the toilet. There was a problem though when we used the shower and the drain was blocked so the water overflowed onto the bathroom floor. We informed the owners and they said this did happen when the was a blockage. I think a lot of properties in the area are the same.
- Rosie (10/5): Lovely property, great location. - Lovely location, easy and convenient to park and get the keys. Loved the layout and size of the property. Slept well and enjoyed the lovely view from the outside area, Being very picky, slightly dusty in some areas and some kitchen utensils weren't spotless but nothing that affected our stay.
- Adam (8/5): Great location and delightful hosts. - Great location and delightful hosts. For preference I would say that a few more hooks would be useful (for a towel or pyjamas in the bathroom, for a tea towel in the kitchen). It is a 'work-in-progress' and they are working through various jobs but that doesn't detract from the accommodation.
- Carol (1/5): Dissatisfied - Location The property was very scruffy, the glass lean too needed a good clean full of cobwebs and dirty. It was like sitting in a green house very hot. Outside needed a good make over too
- Lorely (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Emalie (10/5): Would definitely return - Had everything you needed for a weekend away in west wales, and plenty to do a short drive away. Host was really approachable when we encountered a problem. Unfortunately encountered a leak with the bad storm but this was out of the owners control, which we fully understood and would not stop us staying again :)
- Gregory (6/5): Sufficient for our purpose generally, but better attention to heating would have helped. - Location
Price It was very cold inside as no central heating was switched on and we could not access the controls.
It took till quite late in the evening for a person in the main house to switch it on.We appreciate the hosts were on holiday, but the person left to keep an eye on the property should have been briefed on turning on heating by early evening in November at the latest.
- T (7/5): Good - Comfortable and nice little place for our purposes! Nothing, although the heating didn’t come on until we actually were in bed at 11pm, so it was a bit cold in the evening.
- Widnall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (9/5): Lovely great host good recommendation on where to eat in little haven. Better than most acc - Lovely property only stayed one night but definitely go back. Ideal location for walking the Welsh coast path. Higher standard than most Welsh accommodation so ratings on booking more accurate for this place.
- Gillian (9/5): lovely break - lovely family, made me and my dogs feel very welcome. Annex clean, well equipped and very comfortable, peaceful surroundings and beautiful sunsets. close to beautiful beaches and some great walks. there was nothing I disliked. would return in a heartbeat.
- Karen (1/5): Room for improvement - Bathroom was nice Most things. Didn’t like it being a conservatory with no air con. Dust and con webs everywhere. Lights not working due to bulbs missing. No towels provided, had to visit the local Tesco to purchase new ones. Upon check out I was contacted by the host to be asked where the towels were. I was appalled to be accused of taking the towels.
- Alexandra (9/5): Nice place - Lovely bungalow, great base for a Pembrokeshire holiday. Nice outdoor space. Great facilities. Plenty of room for myself and two children. Not as clean as I was expecting - contact lens case left in bathroom sink, dirty wash cloth. And only one full size and one half size towel, despite it stating on booking.com that towels would be provided and I booked for three people - luckily we had towels with us as the next place we were staying did not provide towels. Nothing too off-putting, and we would stay here again.
- Rodney (7/5): Good - The sofa and sharper knife to cut bread
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, quiet location. Lovely owners. The stay was so short.
- John (9/5): Lovely - Very simple and well appointed
- Serina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (9/5): An excellent base for beaches, boat trips, a mobile sauna and lovely seafood in local pubs. A real downtime relaxation. - Light and airy with lots of space comfy beds and car parking.
- Sarah (8/5): Great location as we were going to Skomer island, great pubs and food in little haven - Location, host very friendly N/a
- Karen (10/5): Facilities great! - Lovely contained space with everything you need. Nothing - everything was great
- Ruji (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place. Excellent location. Beaches and cliffs literally round the corner. Stunning views.
Landlord was warm and welcoming and contacted as we couldn't figure out code for key! Also spent time talking to us giving us a list of recommendations, showing us on map and followed by text message of locations to visit, eat etc.
The only thing to note is that it's a kitchenette therefore no oven. But we noticed an electrical hob and frying pan at the bottom of the cupboard.
Also, like others, we ran out of bog roll but thankfully there was a Londis close by and got pack of 4 for £1.25
TV was great. Plenty of apps like Netflix and Prime. Shower was good, plenty of hot water. Note: the bathroom door had no lock and was slightly transparent, we had to cover it when going in
- William (8/5): Great experience. Loved our trip to Skomer. - Location The apartment is a little quirky and outdated - although that also carries with it plenty of charm.
- Chris (9/5): Great stay, comfortable and good location for Skomer - Great location, very comfortable Needed more herds of wildebeest... ;-)
- Ruth (8/5): Very nice - The annex is next to the main house, the main sitting/kitchen area is in the lean to area. It was comfortable to relax in and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom and bedroom provided us with plenty of space and a nice quiet environment. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Slight drain smell in bathroom but once windows were opened it disappeared.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location adorable apartment with lots of natural light. Hosts were exceptionally friendly accommodating and welcoming!
- Ann (8/5): Would definitely return, lovely little place on the outside of the homestead. - A clean comfortable stay, the bedroom was lovely, high comfortable bed. The lounge/dining room just enough for 2. No hob/oven but a microwave and bar fridge and kettle. We didn’t cook whilst staying so fine for us. The outside area could do wIth a little TLC, painting going on during our stay, but a general tidy up would improve things.
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location very close to seaside and other places to visit. Would have no problem returning for another trip. Hosts were very nice and knowledgable of the local area. We stayed here as we had a trip to Skomer Island booked during our stay and it was only a short drive to the boat, so if this is something you would be doing I would absolutely recommend.
- Katy (10/5): Helpful host, beautiful location - Very friendly and helpful host. Beautifully clean and comfortable apartment, we loved the bright living room.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Beautiful place to stay. - Beautiful place. We had a lovely one night stay. Family of three so perfect size for us. Family on sight were so lovely and friendly. Will 100% be staying there again. N/a
- Caroraw (8/5): Very good - Comfortable place with basic cooking equipment. Fabulous location.
- Amanda (10/5): Great stay in a great location - The property was in a great location, very comfortable bed, plenty of room for the two of us, the family that lived on site were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them, would definitely return without hesitation, my favourite UK holiday so far.
- Kelly (10/5): Lovely, relaxing stay at this coastal hidden gem. - A beautiful little annex on the side of the owner’s property. Everything clean, modern.. bed was large and comfy. Kelly even brought a fan in for me as I suffer with tinnitus and cannot sleep without one. Kelly’s dogs were also super cute, 😊 Everything we needed in the accommodation and if there is something you need I’m sure Kelly would do her best to accommodate you. We loved our stay here, and only sorry we couldn’t book a longer stay. Thank you, hopefully see you again soon. It was a little way out from little haven and not really walkable at night, but not a problem as we found a local taxi service in the area easily.
- Natalie (7/5): Good location for Skomer and Marloes beach - Good price and location. Keys were left in door with no meet and greet which we liked. Whole place needs a dust and a lot of dog hair on the sofa and towels. We like dogs but found it quite off-putting! The place doesn’t promise any frills which is fine, but the kitchen stuff didn’t include a breadboard or bread knife which made making our packed lunches quite tricky - these are basics I would expect in a holiday cottage. The bathroom also had hand sanitiser rather than any hand soap, a bit odd.
- Liam (10/5): We had a lovely stay at Vickers. Thanks for having us! - The location was beautiful.
- Alex (8/5): Lovely . We will go back. - The location is splendid The wonderful Kelly put my dinner in her oven as it couldn't be microwaved. Maybe a little worktop Oven and grill would be an idea?
- Gareth (9/5): Superb -
- Evie (8/5): Overall stay was a value for money! Definitely recommended! - The property was very cute, ideal for a couple and a child, location easily accessible and close to Skomer island. The hosts were next to the house and easily communicated despite the late hour! Thank you for a lovely stay, would recommend! Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was not working and there was no phone signal, but the hosts mentioned that wasn’t the case usually, also there were no mugs for coffee in the morning.
- Thomas (10/5): Great uninterrupted views! - Lovely use of space. Clean and tidy. A very comfy bed too!
Great family too.
- Dr.amjad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (10/5): Perfect - The serenity was perfect, with ample, wonderful places to visit within 5 minutes drive Leaving
- Jeremy (10/5): Excellent - Great stay and great location. Good information on places to visit. Nothing
- Łukaszhatłas1990 (10/5): Exceptional - Everything been so amazing.
We will be back.
All nice clean and tidy N/A
- Hinds (8/5): Our stay was joyful and truly appreciated. - We enjoyed the location. The size was also important. Not too big. We travelled with a dog and she also had space to explore and run round. We didn’t like the fact we had no heating in the lounge area. We appreciated the portable heaters and were able to warm the bedrooms. The ceiling in the lounge must have had condensation on it and it would drip. This was probably the result of the cold in that space.
- Anna (9/5): Good location and atmosphere, we had everything we needed - Beautiful setting and the vibe of the apartment is nice
Was easy to find and access For 3 adults it was a tiny bit small, but to be fair we kind of expected that.
- Dawn (7/5): Rural stop on our Welsh road trip - Nice for a quick overnight stay. Nice location too! Few minor things. When we arrived the dog in the main house was constantly barking for an hour, glad we didn’t arrive earlier! Heard a lot of noise from the main house but it was nice and quiet at night. One of the children running past our bathroom window in the morning as I was getting in the shower! The place just wasn’t completely what I was expecting.
- Jennifer (9/5): Good value close to the coast path - We arrived in the middle of a howling rain storm, which wasn't so pleasant initially, but staying in what is essentially a converted greenhouse attached to the main house gave us a great seat for Mother Nature's show--and a fairly cozy one, once we were inside. The property is clean but folks with pet allergies might react to dog hairs that I think come from the owners' dogs. Kitchen has the basics. A lay-by just down the road gives great access to the coast path, and the cafe in Broad Haven does a lovely cup of coffee. I think this is might still be a new unit, which was great, but it meant that little things were a bit off--the towels were so new they had no absorbency, there was only one throw blanket, the shower has no curtain, we couldn't figure out how to turn the radiators on (and missed the heater in the corner until the next morning). The biggest issue was just finding the unit in the first place--it is across the street from the rest of the Talbenny Hall Farm units, on the right side of the road as you come from Broad Haven (I got soaked figuring that out). Also, I'm very grateful the owner was getting home just as we did arrive as we needed her help to get the lockbox open.
- Richard (8/5): Very good - Well equipped and comfortable. Decent location for exploring the local area
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location and very clean and modern
- Tania (8/5): Lovely little self contained annex. Beautiful area with lots of walks nearby. Very comfortable beds. - Lovely little annex to the farmhouse. Clean and very comfortable. Owner was really helpful giving directions and information on the local area. No hairdryer.
- Joe (7/5): Good for a short stay with pets. - It's a nice, clean annex on the side of the property with new furnishings. Good communication and pet friendly. WiFi signal was very poor. Lack of basics (e.g. cafetiere) but the owners lived next door and could give us one to borrow.
- Lili (10/5): One of the most fabulous place in Pembrokeshire, with close distance to many lovely bays and paths. - The location is exceptional, and easy to find and visit all the fantastic places in Pembrokeshire.
- Iuliia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Przemyslaw (10/5): Exceptional - Very pleasant & helpful owner 😊! Nice and quiet place to stay for a short break and a good place for exploring the cost.
- Dorota (9/5): Superb - Big living room and good size of bedroom. Bathroom with toilet and door with transparent glass. Lack of comfort and intimacy. Lack of toileting stuff .
- Monica (9/5): Cozy coastal stay - The accommodation was really clean and nicely arranged. It made us feel comfortable, and cozy. Everything worked well, and the bed was pleasant. A couple of tea bags would have been very welcomed, and also some hand soap.
- Jeanette (9/5): Superb - Very friendly, clean and lovely decor
Great location for exploring.
Plenty of parking and space to sit outside
