- Mary (4/5): If you’re happy with a place lacking the love then this is the place for you. - Close to the beach Terrace & outdoor furniture were filthy with bird poop which I mopped & cleaned in order to use. The umbrella in photos is broken & unusable downstairs. Plants in pots virtually all dead, with weeds. On arrival there was no kettle or wine glasses, provided the day after requested. No cleaning products provided beyond kitchen detergent and an old sponge. Bathroom fittings corroded, orange mould lower tiles of shower & continued sand/dust dropping from the ceiling. Black mould inside washing machine detergent drawer. A sofa that was maybe stone colored originally was very grubby & stained in need of laundering. The inside door handle was very loose & didn’t fully latch the strike plate so also needs attention. The owner & property manager should review local properties to provide a more fitting presentation of this apartment. On pointing out our concerns we were immediately offered a different apartment, but on checking this out, it was in no way comparable regarding proximity to the beach or having a terrace to relax on. Self checkin meant that we discovered the issues as we spent time there where it would have been more appropriate to have had a meet & greet to note the issues immediately. The subcontract produced during self checkin has an empty table of pre existing damages that could do with updating. We didn’t agree to sign it without having seen the property.
- Michael (9/5): Roomy, updated apartment which was a great place to stay in Ortigia - Great Location, very near duomo piazza. Nice roomy apartment, comfortable beds, great terrace. Needs a microwave
