- JUI YU (8/5): - 位置離車站很近。 只提供開水及微波爐。
- Jan Karl (8/5): Convenient - Perfectly located if you plan to start early on the Toyama Kurobe Alpine Route Everything was alright. Japanese Rayokan standard.
- franca (8/5): Nice en cozy place to transit before go to tateyama - Near yo the bus station to ogizawa. Since we are going to take the Alpine route Stairs ha ha
- CHIN SHU (9/5):

- Thu (10/5): - We stayed here for one night before leaving for Tateyama alpine route. I was on my period and contacted them about using the public bath. They were very accommodating and assure me that I can use the facility as long as I don’t enter the bath. It would be nice to have sign on the bath house door indicating how many people can enter. Also the female’s changing area is exposed and can be seen from the hallway when the door is open. I think having a curtain there will make it so much better.
- Sue (6/5): Quite expensive in view of fairly basic facilitated .poor value compared to other places we have stayed so far - Good location near the station and bus stop. Traditional Japanese ryokan. Clean Communal areas including baths and showers quite shabby
- Sakuya (10/5): -
- David (7/5): Good base for the Alpine Crossing - Convenient for Omachi station and the Alpine Crossing route. The room was a good size. Kitchen with boiling water and microwave was very useful. Friendly staff. There were onsens but they were suitable for 2-3 people; no alternative of individual showers. The mattresses were quite thin.
- 嘉琪 (9/5): -
- Linh (8/5): - Awesome bath. It's a shared one but I got it to myself most of the time. The door is too thin to prevent noise coming from the hallway. Since all necessities are outside of the room, people tend to come in and out quite often.
- WANYUN (9/5): - 離車站近 女生澡堂一次只能2人使用

- Kathryn (8/5): Fun and traditional - Location and friendly We had to book 2 rooms for a family of 3 but 1 room would have been suffice, particularly for our 1 night stay.
- Tosca (8/5): - Authentic Ryokan with roof terras. Kind staff, good breakfast. Our luggage was send forward from Toyama. All went smoothly
- Simona (8/5): - The staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. The bathroom cleanliness could be improved, as some areas showed signs of old dirt.
- Tzu (10/5): Exceptional - A truly heartwarming and unforgettable experience in a quaint setting. The family running the place was extremely accommodating and kind. Everything was so clean. The public bath was great and views were incredible.
- Hoo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bee (8/5): Clean, friendly hotel staff - It was a good experience staying in a true Japanese hotel with common toilet n shower. We weren't used to it athough it was a new experience. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable to advise on the luggage transfer and bus transfer.
Also, another plus point is that a staff came to help us bring our luggages up the stairs on level 2. Common toilets and shower areas.
No elevator
- Alison (6/5): Pleasant -
- Robertas (8/5): Very good -
- Jiemin (8/5): Cosy alpine route stop - Amazing location - easy starting point for alpine route, great access to supermarkets and restaurants
Helpful staff
You can organise luggage transfer with reception
V authentic - sleep on floor and no en suite. It's not a bad thing but some western travellers may be surprised.
Felt safe even in magnitude 2.8 earthquake!!
- Akesaka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (7/5): Good - Clean and comfortable enough, and close to the train station. Definitely feels traditional. Some tired decor, which isn't really a big deal. Air conditioning only goes to a minimum of 25C which was pretty hot for Scottish travelers.
- Karin (7/5): Very convenient traditional Japanese Inn for the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route - The location of Nanakuraso is very convenient, just a few minutes by foot to the train station (and the bus stop for the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route) and a very large supermarket. We chose this hotel because it was possible to have our luggage delivered here via the bagage transport service of the Alpine Route, and because it is a traditional Japanese inn. Our room was spacious, had airconditioning and decent wifi. The bathroom facilities are a bit dated but very clean, and the little kitchen with tea facilities was very useful. We had a peak on the roof terrace, which was nice but doesn't offer comfortable seating, which is a shame really (as it would have been nice to sit outside in the evening). Nothing really. Perhaps the room price was a bit steep provided the facilities (and compared to other Japanese inns we've stayed at).
- Gemma (6/5): Pleasant - Very dated and smelt smoke all night.
- Tereza (8/5): Gret start of Alpine route - Check in and check out were smooth, we could pay by card. The room was big enough for backpackers. There wasn’t many people so the shared bathroom wasn’t crowded. There are toilets and small kitchen on every floor. You can go to the roof with a nice view to enjoy some beer. The futon was too firm for me but nicely warm.
- Hera (10/5): Exceptional - Good communication with the owner beforehand. Perfect location near the train station and the bus station to Ogisawa. Our luggage were taken care of by the owner in the morning and were waiting for us at Toyama station after doing the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Very nice Ryokan overall with confortable futons.
- Visa (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dorothy (8/5): Comfortable stay in a traditional guest house - Comfortable stay in a traditional Japanese guest house. Room was quite spacious (quadruple room for 2 of us) with a low table and chairs without legs. The lady at reception was very pleasant and efficient. Shared bathroom facilities were very good. Excellent location just a short walk from the bus stop for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Great view of the mountains from the roof terrace. Would recommend.
- Sok (8/5): Very good -
- Shalomtan (8/5): Good location and value - The staff were really kind and allowed us to leave our luggage there when we went on our round trip up Tateyama. Onsen was comfy for 2 people and the tatami beds were comfortable too! Good value for money in Omachi and super close to the station. There was a constant smell of smoke due to the yakiniku place next door. Smoking room was also right next to the entrance. We all got sore throats after one night..
- Vivien (7/5): Good - location is fantastic. next to train station
owner is super accommodating and friendly
- Vivien (7/5): Good -
- Erice (7/5): Good - Nice Location. Great Breakfast. Super kind staff. I had to wait a little before check in but for some reason my check in time was adjusted to 7pm and I arrived around 4pm. I cannot remember I changed but I honesty don't remember. The owner was so apporogetic and I don't have any negative feeling
- Grace (10/5): Great base for the Kurobe Alpine Route - Very welcoming, with an excellent breakfast prepared in the morning. Very close to the station and to the bus stop for the Kurobe Alpine Route. Wonderful views of the mountains from the roof terrace.
- Lesley (9/5): Superb - The location was good. Owners were very friendly. The place was comfortable but a little tired. We enjoyed meeting other Japanese quests. Eating and supermarket were close by. Would stay there again
- Vilis (7/5): Good - The common bathroom could have been cleaner. But overall not bad, and cannot complain for the price.
- Jane (8/5): Alpine way stop over - Close to station. Very helpful staff, organised luggage transfer and early morning breakfast to take away.
Great communication via email I found the futon too thin and uncomfortable, but that's just me!
No showers which was unexpected but had a nice public bath.
- Dean (8/5): Good Place to Stay Before Travelling the Alpine Route - Basic place that is very handy for starting (or ending) the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Good shared baths, basic tatami mat rooms and decent wifi. We liked that we could send our bags ahead to Toyama directly from the hotel. Plus, it was less than a 5-minute walk from the train station and bus to Ogizawa.
- Ross (10/5): Homey, comfy, tatami style beds, shared bath facilities but very clean and enjoyable! - Bath room, Rooms were spacey and very clean. Staff were very friendly. Close to station and shops. Amazing view of the mountains from the rooftop! Nothing
- Yang (9/5): Superb -
- Aileen (9/5): Superb -
- Yang (8/5): Very good -

- Shuk (7/5): Good location for climbing - Good location!
Bath was wonderful.
Laundry is available. Can be cleaner
- Eran (1/5): Bad -
- Victoria (7/5): No frills ryokan, good for a jump start for the alpine route - Good location, close to the station and bus stop for the alpine tour. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean. We had unluckily the room close to the bathroom and communal kitchen and so it was loud. We ordered breakfast for one day. It was okay, but it was sitting on the table when we arrived and we weren‘t certain for how long.
- Anne (9/5): Superb - Authentic Japanese style accommodation. Has a bonus hot bath and staff wonderful. Very ine pensive great value for a wonderful experience .

Poor communication as staff didn't speak English.
- Rowena (9/5): Superb -
- Olga (9/5): it’s round the corner from the train station, good place to start your trip to Alpine route. - very comfortable futons, spacious room
- Sim (7/5): Good -
- Yueh-ru (9/5): a very Japanese style which can bring guests a memorable experience - a very traditional Japanese style room and Japanese style breakfast too which is a different experience from staying in a hotel. near the train station to Alpine Route the heater doesn’t work very well.
- Cally (8/5): Very good -
- Jael (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sopit (8/5): Very good -
- Hikari-partners (10/5): Exceptional -

- Johnson (7/5): Good -
- Szu-han (8/5): Little and cozy place to stay. Friendly staff. - 5 min walk from train station. Staff are so nice to help carry luggages to upstairs. Rice ball as breakfast is yummy.
- Mj (9/5): Superb -
- Vidyadhar (10/5): Exceptional - Big rooms, very near to everything
- Alexandra (10/5): Perfect stopover - We stayed here the night before we went on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and it was the perfect stopover.
Really lovely staff, clean, quiet and a great location. Its simple, but charming, and they can arrange the baggage transfer to Toyama :)
Note: bathroom is shared, slippers are provided for wearing indoors and you might want to bring a sleep mask as the blinds are not opaque.
- Mugan (7/5): Good - Bstationig room sizing & very near to train & bus Old hostel & feels a bit reluctant to share same bath with other persons (understand it is common in Japan).
- Tai (7/5): Good - Breakfast is good. Normally, breakfast time is 7am. As our requested, the breakfast is early in 6:45 am. The hotel provides laundry service which is only 300 yen. Room is clean. Hot spring pool is good, but is small. the shared toilet and basin are not clean.
