• Jacqueline (8/5): A beautiful, relaxing stay amongst nature and was warmly welcomed by lovely staff. - Beautiful treehouse room in nature. So lovely to sleep listening to all the sounds. The homestay staff were wonderful, so warm and inviting. They hung out with the guests and were very generous with their time (one took us for a day trip to Senggigi) and their food. It was lovely and I would love to return. The amenities are more camping vibes as they are outdoors and simple so don’t expect 5 star, but this was fine for me and added to the natural vibe of the place.

• Carolina (10/5): Un lugar verde hermoso, donde el tiempo se para y recuerdas que la vida va de amar - Perfecto lugar para descansar, perderte entre arrozales verdes que te dejan loca, conocer el ambiente local sin turismo, dejarte abrazar por las sonrisas de la gente que vive en la zona. Puestas de sol rojas, preciosas, dede el rio o viendo Bali de fondo. Conocer cascadas donde estar solo o con gente local. Espacio donde compartir tu tiempo y abrir tu corazón con las personas bonitas y genuinamente amables que regentan el lugar. La propia finca es bellísima, rodeada de naturaleza y con rincones hermosos que te atrapan y que hacen que no tengas ganas de irte. Proyecto consciente, comunitario y ético con el medio natural, con una filosofía de cómo estar en el mundo muy interesante. Por todo eso, el mejor alojamiento de mi mes por indonesia, sin duda. Tenerme que ir!

• DECHAUFFOUR (10/5): Un cadre dépaysant et une gentillesse énorme ! - Superbe endroit, très bien situé et avec des gens d’une très grande gentillesse ! Pas grand chose tout était très bien. Il ne faut pas être « princesse » sinon ça ne vous plaira pas ahah !

• Lucie (10/5): The most special place I've ever traveled to - I intended to stay here for two nights but ended up extending for one more week. I've never been to a more relaxed environment than Hijau. All people taking care of this magical accommodation are amazing human beings with mega-friendly personalities. They showed me some of their favorite places which I'm very thankful for! I loved the setup of the accommodation because simplicity is all you need in this environment. Here, you feel like time doesn't exist, and you just immerse yourself in the presence. Even now, two months after my departure, I still think of Hijau every day (seriously!). I only have the best memories of Hijau. Definitely one of the best places in Indonesia. I hope I'll come back soon!

• Teresa (10/5): piccolo paradiso immerso nel verde - questo luogo diventa casa. dian si prende cura di tutti, ti fa sentire benvenuto, con amore. questo incredibile tempio è immerso nel verde, entri in contatto con la cultura locale, tutti hanno un sorriso sulla faccia. grazie, hijau.

Dion, Didit, Kevin , Yoyo will make you feel instantly at ease and invite you to share their laid back Indonesian way of living. If you're looking for an authentic and rustic homestay mixed with the sociability of an hostel, this place is made for you. Mataram it's a good point to start your adventures in Rinjani, Kuta , Sengiggi.
• Damien (10/5): Lovely place - I absolutely loved my stay here! The place has a great vibe, the hosts are lovely, and the people who stay here are genuinely kind. I felt warmly welcomed from the very first day. I loved the vibe so much that I kept extending my stay again and again. I just felt really good here. The rooms are comfortable, and the facilities are simple but charming and totally functional. The location is perfect if you're looking to connect with local life. Plus, the hosts are always happy to help and answer any questions. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, and the cherry on top: there’s a kitchen available, which is a real bonus! Highly recommended!

• Vu (7/5): it's good if you don't mind the noise. - spacious and beautiful surroundings, cool climate, well prepared kitchen and the pets, hospitable landlord. the budget worth it but here are some notes, my "room" is a half-open space, so no soundproof at all, it's located on a wooden platform that wobbles following almost every movements. Blanket smells bad, reggae atmosphere so expect all-night music and singing and drinking, the boys lowered the volume at 2am after my request. The bathroom and toilet is makeshift-esque, but they looks like while being unclean.

• Fuka (10/5): This is my home in Lombok! - I absolutely loved this place! I enjoyed living there, surrounded by beautiful nature. The house and furniture were amazing and unique. You’ll really understand how special it is once you experience it for yourself. The owners are very friendly and kind. Thanks to them, I grew to love Lombok! This isn’t really a downside, but here are a few things to keep in mind: there’s no Wi-Fi. My eSIM (Smartfren) didn’t work inside the hostel, but it did work outside. It might be a good idea to ask them if you need more information:)

Great spot to explore lombok from, if you're not afraid to spend some times driving around on a motorbike .

• Giorgio (10/5): Impeccable vibes 💯 - The overall vibe was sublime. The full immersion into nature paired up with unmatched hospitality by the hosting family made me feel welcomed and cared for. They were always ready to stop anything they were doing to satisfy any and all my needs. Unbelievably good people. Even the dog got my heart ❤️ There's a chess board, a speaker and cards to be social but there's also the chance to just hang by the small river in complete peace and tranquility in hammocks and nets. At night you can see small frogs roaming around and during the day beautiful birds and butterflies. You can cook something on your own or organise a BBQ to feast in company - honestly one of my best experiences worldwide. Shout-out to the whole family, dog included! 🙏🏻 Saying goodbye 🫂😭

Plus, it's in a great location—peaceful but close to everything. If you're looking for a laid-back, friendly place to stay in Lombok, Hijjau Hostel is where it’s at. I loved everything about it - the bamboo structure, the garden, their dog - but nothing compares to Didit and his dad's hospitality and kindness. Honestly, I left and instantly recommended it to other travellers I found on other islands in different hostels and I will continue to. Obviously it's incredibly priced. But more than that, just such nice people. Didit is such a good singer too so when he gets on the guitar and playing at nice, so serene. I found it a really good place to stay after months of travelling and spend a day or two grounding and not doing much.

• Evin (10/5): Hijau - i felt like Home - Hijau (Green) was for me a place of tranquility. The Hostel owner is an artsitic, generous and helpful Person who created a place close to mother earth. I enjoyed waking up in an open place. The Garden is in front of you, you have a kitchen you can use, make Coffee and chill and gaze into the green, open space 🌱💚🌞🌻. I was Happy to be Here. I could rent for a cheap price a Strong Scooter and the owner invited me many times for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is a cheap laundary Service Close by (5000/Kilo). The City is also nice and the beachside invites you for Sunset. Thank you for offering me a place which felt like Home. Yes less is more 💚🙋💫🤸. I enjoyed my stay. Hijau offers your some mosquito repelents because of the rain season. For any case i would recommend you do bring some :).

The host is super nice and you can ask him anything. Also he is a super funny guy and together with his son he wants this stay to be the most comfortable.

The location is far from the beaches so you will need a motorbike, but you can rent there and it's very convenient. There is just one bathroom and shower ( cold shower, which is normal on the island) There are lots of mosques around and it can be loud

If you want to experience the local life with the wonderful people of Lombok you should come to Hijau and enjoy your time there. At the end you are fully charged with the positive energy of this place and it is hard to leave.
