Guest Reviews
- Mary (5/5): Stay was uncomfortable as far as sleeping conditions. - The house was clean and well furnished. The local property management company was responsive to our needs and concerns. The property was advertised as a two bedroom home. It was actually a loft home. Upstairs there were two queen and one twin bed open to the downstairs living area. Downstairs there was a sofa bed.
With two couples on different schedules and health conditions it proved to be a hostile environment for comfortable sleep.
Had we known the true layout of the house, we would never have chosen it for our stay. In reality, there was only one interior door and that was to the bathroom.
When we contacted the local property management company, they agreed that the advertising on the booking.com sight was not an accurate or true description. The management company tried to find us more suitable accommodations but there were none and went so far as to offer our money back. Being almost 2000 miles from home, we had no choice but to stay in the unsuitable home.
Booking.com was less respondent to the point that when our phone conversation was cut off they did not attempt to contact me to reconnect and I had to start over with another person when I was able to contact them again.
If anyone wants to be assured that they will not get into this type of situation, I would recommend booking directly with the local company managing the property and steer clear of third party rental companies.
In checking today, Booking.com has changed their description to a 1 bedroom instead of a two bedroom. In the real estate world, in order to be called a bedroom there are certain criteria that must be met. Two of these are that the room have a door that open inward to the room, and a closet. The loft had neither of these, nor did it have a wall separating it from the main living area.
The local property management got in touch with me again and made sure that there was nothing else that they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. I never heard from Booking.com until now when they asked for my review.
- Murthy (9/5): I would stay here again, if I come back to YS. - Location, setup of the house; pretty much everything Couple of minor things:
A new shower head in bath room or cleaning of it to remove calcium build will help
Definitely faster internet speed, if 2 or more devices + TV is on - significant lag is observed
Thermostat are in a lockbox, which is fine, however the mornings were quite cold and we would get a blast of cold air through the vent open in the living room (right above the door) and we had no way to stop it.
- Carsen (10/5): Exceptional - Property was beautiful! We felt safe, it was clean, up to date and comfy! Great location too! N/A
- Lindsey (10/5): We loved our stay at this Airbnb! The home was spacious, cozy and comfortable, and a great location with access to resta - The property was great for our long weekend in Montana! The location was convenient to downtown west Yellowstone and the park entrance. Also loved how it was decorated! The property was great - only feedback for ways to improve further is to add a curtain on front door for privacy, add an extra lock in addition to the digital lock, and provide some coffee.
- Torrey (9/5): Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable stay. - We really liked the location and the general comfort of the cabin. It was easy to find and easy to drive to the cabin. The area was also very quiet and peaceful, which we really loved. We would really liked to have had access to a stove while we were there, as well as an additional bathroom. The loft got pretty warm and was a bit difficult to cool down. There was also a very unusual situation that occurred - a grizzly bear fatally attacked a woman within a half-mile of the cabin while we were there, which put us a little bit on-edge.
- Cale (9/5): Superb - A completely charming, well decorated and well supplied lodging. We had plenty of room for our large family. The kitchen was perfect for making breakfast omelets. Even the gift bag was thoughtful. It would have been nice if the temperature could be set a couple degrees warmer.
- Eric (9/5): great proximity to the park - didn’t have coffee, it would be a good inclusion since there is a coffee maker…
