Guest Reviews
- Abby (1/5): Dated, worn and an unrestful holiday - very disappointed. - Unfortunately, only a few pros to this property. Firstly, the shower was great and secondly, the location of the property is fantastic as you are close to the shops and sea. There was also free WiFi which worked well for us. The staircase - there should have been warnings for how steep the stairs are in the house in the description. The overall inside of the house was very worn and outdated which made it feel very uncomfortable for us. There was no signal to pick up local radio stations which is a shame and the TV only had streaming services when we wanted to watch normal terrestrial channels ie. BBC1 etc. The freezer was frozen over and needed a good defrost - you could not fit a thing in it. The images shown on Booking.com are not what it looks like in person, although it is similar furniture and same layout, it doesn't show how aged the furniture and the walls are. The twin room beds are awful, very uncomfortable and felt almost like putty. The outdoor patio area was small and confined with no view and nowhere for a dog to do it's business - although The Ham is just across the way, this does not help when your dog needs the toilet in the middle of the night. On conversations before the holiday with the hosts of the property, it was requested that we put the bin out on Monday morning - not something we're normally asked to do on holiday but ok. Then host said not to worry as they found someone to do this for us - great! However, this stranger just popped into the backyard and took the bin out and returned them without a word or warning before hand. This made us unsettled and uncomfortable. It would have been a nice touch to have had a welcome pack on arrival informing us of important information and maybe a visitor book, it was nice to have a couple of goodies on arrival but we would have much preferred to know the important stuff. There were no sanitary bins/bins of any kind in the toilets. Overall I feel that the reviews are from family and friends and that the only previous visitors this house has had is, from family and friends (this is just my own opinion). We disliked the house so much that we made the decision to go home early.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - What a lovely, well equipped house in an ideal location. The hosts have thought of everything. They were very helpful before, during and after our stay.
Sinks in every bedroom, 2 WC and a separate bathroom. Ideal for a family.
Great yard if you have a dog too.
Lovely view of the sea and The Ham, with a great safe playground if you have small children.
Short stay carpark adjacent for dropping off.
Sainsburys delivered on our first day, no issues. Nothing - sad to come home
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful house in a great location. Owner was very helpful It was all fab!
