Guest Reviews
- Chloe (10/5): Beautiful cabin , luxurious but grounded . Amazing location and staff - Apologies for the late review , our stay at Daphne was amazing . The site is beautiful you can see the sheep and hills from bed, so nice to sit with a book . the cabin itself is stunning ( we could live there happily ) tasteful but simple with all the amenities you could need.my parent especially loved the book on tiny homes / cabins ! We were happily surprised by a proper hot working shower that we didn’t see on the booking notes before . The homemade tiffin was a lovely touch . I got to sit outside watching the view whilst my partner cooked me dinner . Bed super comfy . I recommended to a friend who also booked - couldn’t want more we spent the two days in cheddar gorge a short drive away and the evenings in this peaceful oasis . Maybe better lighting in the bathroom . But apart from that was perfect
- Paul (9/5): Peaceful stay in a beautiful location. Shepherds hut was tastefully decorated & bed very comfortable - Location and comfort was fabulous. Really quiet and pretty Shower water was on the like warm side
- Laura (9/5): Peaceful, cosy countryside stay - Great, peaceful location with lovely views over fields. Cute property with all the facilities you could need (kitchen stove and oven, small fridge, iron and ironing board etc) and very comfortable
Perfect spot whilst travelling for work for a peaceful night sleep and outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the countryside
Highly recommend

- András (10/5): - Idyllic location but close by to tourist locations. Felt private despite being close to another hut and the house.
The hut was comfortable and cosy, had everything you needed. Furnished very nicely.
- Andrea (5/5): Not a quiet shepherd's hut retreat. - The shower was clean and bigger than expected There was no parasol for the table outside, and no table inside. We didn't get to meet our hosts.
There were people sat in the way of the path when we come back from trying to find a pub nearby. And the other hut was a bit close, we could hear them all the time, as well as the traffic and strimmer. not really the quiet retreat we were hoping for.
- Jason (10/5): - Location and easy walk to the pub for an evening meal. Breakfast was brought to you and it was amazing. Nothing
- Wendy (10/5): - A beautiful little chalet. Very clean and cosy. We loved the decor, and we loved the views aswell. The chocolate brownies as a welcome, we're delicious. Will definitely return.
- Katie (10/5): Brilliant! Amazing surroundings and a lovey place to stay. - Location was good as we were staying overnight as we visited Cheddar and then were heading down to Cornwall. Breakfast was great and was delivered to our door at the time we requested. Easy communication through WhatsApp. There was a guide left by the host with some information about the hut we were staying in and with some recommendations of places to eat around the area. There was also a designated parking space for the Daphne hut, as well as for the other hut. We would 100% stay here again!
- Tracey (10/5): Myself and husband wanted to visit Chedder gorge. Stay was perfect location Wanted to stay in shepherd hut and absolutel - Beautiful quiet setting.Nature at its finest. Good for the soul listening to the buzzing of the Bees to the Sheep in the fields. Nothing absolutely perfect
- Antonino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): Loved it! - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Daphne. It’s clean, spacious and very well equipped with everything provided for a really comfortable stay. The mattress, sheets and towels etc are all very good quality. Great shower and good wifi. The location feels very private right next to a field of sheep. Jane is a lovely host, nothing is too much trouble. She provides fresh milk and a home baked tiffin on arrival and her superb breakfast brought straight to the hut is very good value, I highly recommend. I loved absolutely everything about Daphne and will definitely be back. Nothing.
- Keeley (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! We had the best night's sleep ever, the hut was lovely and clean. Such a lovely peaceful place. The tiffins were a lovely little touch and tasted great. 😊
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect - Really nice chilled out little hut. Lovely location, nice and quiet. We had breakfast which was incredible. Couldn’t fault it

- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - What a great experience ,We requested to arrive a hour early as our flights arrived at midday and checkin was only later in the afternoon ,Jane was very welcoming and accomadating .
The hut was very clean finished to a very high standard and all provided ,Everything from a a cork screw, couple of wine glasses to a potatoe peeler ,Real coffee a perculator and even some homemade tiffin cakes .The surroundings are tranquil overlooking somerset landscape .So lovely would recommend this experience to all .Thanks Jane . The one thing that I couldnt figure out was the shower Fantastic pressure big head space for two .But being blonde I couldnt get the hot water to work properly in the shower .
