• Agata (10/5): Absolutely amazing place - Everything was perfect! The communication with the staff was very fast, smooth, and completely hassle-free. The apartment was spotless, very comfortable, and the view from the window was absolutely amazing. The location was also great — close to the city center with many excellent restaurants nearby. It was definitely one of the best places I stayed during my trip to Sicily. I highly recommend this apartment!

They had changed the phone number from the booking.com site. I had told them what time we were arriving on our initial booking. • Jan (8/5): Nice room in the heart of Catania - close to all the city's highlights - Nice room in the center of Catania. It has no other facilities, you get a voucher for a café a few minutes from the accommodation (which is fantastic! Try the different variations of the options available.). Everything was totally alright, however, we did not feel too comfortable - which is fine for a night or two in a city. You have to pay 2€ per hour for your lugguage if you decide to leave it at the accommodation after checkout. This is not reasonable, many other hotels offer that for free.

• Sharon (10/5): Great location - This room was so, so lovely. Location is excellent, a little back from the main square, which made it more peaceful. Lovely welcome from the host. She explained everything, easy to get into the room using an ordered key system, which was great for me. Clean room, and very comfy bed. The room is basic, but feels very comfortable to be in because of the bigger size. The fridge was just cold, it didn't seem to reach a fridge temperature. Therefore, not sure I would keep milk in overnight. But fine for storage.

An der Aussicht von meinem Zimmer durch ein fabelhaft großes Fenster über die zauberhaften Dächer von Catania konnte ich mich kaum satt sehen. Die Lage und Umgebung sind wunderbar. Die Kommunikation mit der charmanten Gastgeberin ist freundlich und strikt ;-) Danke! Ein- und Auscheckzeiten sind sehr knapp bemessen.

The only downside is that the room ceiling needs urgent repair — throughout the entire stay, plaster or paint was falling from the ceiling onto the bed.

• Karen (10/5): - This is my favorite place to stay in Catania. It's very cute but most importantly it's so comfy. The beds are so luxurious with nice pillows and good linens (something you rarely find in Italy). It is tough to get out of the bed, but also the balconies are lovely and a great place to enjoy the sunset. The host is very friendly and hospitable, and the location is perfect and you can walk to everything.

• Valentin (8/5): Good value overall - The location is great, just a 3 minute walk from main square, great for exploring the city. The bed was comfortable, I had a good sleep, the heating was already on when we arrived ( not everyone does that ) and the room was warm throughout the night. Breakfast was only ok for my taste. The ceiling can use some repairs, the room could have been cleaner, the breakfast only savory option was mini pizza, all others were sweet, I am not a fan of sugar rush in the morning. There is no TV - i do not take this into account for scoring as probably it is not mentioned in the description ( i did not check ) but just something ti be aware of.

• Jessica (10/5): A perfect place to stay in Catania - charm and character with flawless modern features! - Chiara kept in touch with us before and during our stay and was very helpful and friendly upon check-in. The room was incredibly centrally located and in a beautiful old building, but accessible by lift and renovated to a spotless and very modern standard, but still had lots of character. The space is high spec and very clean, with everything you could hope for including basic kitchen amenities (the bottle opener was very useful!) and the bathroom even had cotton wool pads and Micellar water which was much appreciated! The bed was very comfy, the shower strong and the blackout curtains were great for a good night’s sleep - it was so quiet as well, which is a stark contrast to the other places we stayed at throughout Sicily. Would highly recommend!
• Andreea (10/5): Modern architectural design create a comfy island on top of the old city of Catania - Zahara is one of those few places that not only employ an architect to design the room/s, but the architect does an amazing job in all aspects from design to functionality. You notice this in the way everything is so well thought through, small details that make everything comfortable, highly functional and beautiful. Zahara B&B is an apartment in an old building transformed in several accommodation units. We stayed in a small room with bathroom and a small terrace with an amazing view. The combination of the minimalist interior design with the view gazing over the roof tops expanded the space of the room, making the experience more spacious. All tiny details that were so well thought-through made the experience very welcoming. from the light switcher that were so handy from bed, the dedicated place for luggage, nice choice of cosmetics at the bathroom, the small coffee machine with actually good coffee, complementary traditional sweets, the different surfaces of the floor to integrate the bathroom needed height needed for the sewage, and other subtle details that are for each to discover. Nothing really to dislike here. Lovely experience.
• Patrick (8/5): Centrally located with a responsive and welcoming hostess - Chriara is a wonderful hostess. Very responsive and welcoming. The location is very central and quiet. The breakfast provided in the local cafes was substantial and a great Sicilian experience. The bed was very comfortable and the shower spacious and warm. Spacious room with a pleasant view onto a courtyard The only snag we had is trying to get the room warm. It was January and temps in the evenings were 4 to 5 C. My wife is very sensitive to being cold and we could never quite get it warm enough for her. If we didn't have this issue I would have forgiven the accommodation full marks. It would not be a problem outwith winter time
