So easy to get to all the sights and explore the country side.The hosts were amazing and the homemade welcome slice and tea was a lovely touch . Easy drive into York and surrounds.

• Andrew (10/5): Cosy, comfortable and peaceful - Excellent communication with hosts with exceptional help when needed. Very clear and concise instructions for all facilities. Central heating was easy to operate and rapid to respond. Accommodation was cosy and very comfortable- chairs and beds. Very quiet and peaceful. Some occasional noise possible from flat above. Needs driving for meals out.
• 4 (10/5): Exceptional - A slice of heaven and home. Situated to all the areas and activities of interest to us. Providing a lovely, peaceful environment to return to at days end. Welcoming 🙏 and interesting place with scenery access to lovely gardens. Very private and hosts were friendly and welcoming with great information available about the local areas. It was interesting to read about the development of the family's garden, farm, and accommodation.

• James (6/5): Pleasant - Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Location was beautiful and quiet. Accommodation was very clean. Farm house setting was stunning. Facilities were very basic and old fashioned. Bit like an old folks home Furnishings needs modernising. Carpet in bathroom created smell of dampness. Old arm chairs - no sofa. Too many chairs - accomodation sleeps 2, but seating for about 9. Suggest a small corner sofa would suffice. TV very small. Some upgrading and modernising would make this accommodation appealing to more people and could justifiably charge more for stay.

Journeys to get to other local places of interest were a little further away than we realised on quite narrow lanes, but had a lovely time despite the above. Apart from not having a comfy sofa to relax on after a day out, the cottage was perfect. Hosts

• Craig (10/5): Stay at valerian 7th - 10th September 2023 - There was a beautiful rural history to the accommodation and it is clear that the owners are extremely proud of its history, they preserve that history and they embrace it by utilizing parts of the buildings history. The owners are extremely welcoming and go to considerable lengths to ensure everyone staying is genuinely welcomed. The accommodation itself is certainly comfortable, very clean and has all the utilities inside that you need for a very pleasant stay. It is so so peaceful and has amazing sunsets in the right conditions. The bed is simply wonderful and I can't fault anything at all You are right in the middle of nature, surrounded by fields and amazing views of a stunning part of north yorkshire. If you are looking for a quiet location to bring peace and balance back to your soul, this place is it. I can't fault anything. The only slight downside, one we were happy to accept, is that you have drive 20 minutes or so to get onto main roads to go to any major town or destination. We didn't mind that and we found driving the quaint country roads a joy because its all part of the beauty of North yorkshire.
• Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful quiet location, perfect for exploring the North York Moors and all the attractions in the area. Well equiped self catering accommodation with access to Farmhouse gardens to relax in. Loved watching the sunset in the evenings.
