- Mario (10/5): - Ein kleines Paradies im Nirgendwo , schön gestaltete Bungalows in schön gestalteter Anlage, sehr hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal.
Natur pur, auf die angenehmste Weise!
- Vicky (8/5): Very good - Location, it was stunning As getting there is only possible via Entremares boat, I don't think we should have had to pay for this.
- Kim (10/5): This is now my favorite place on Earth - It’s incredibly beautiful Nothing
- Mayra (8/5): We are not coming back here for sure. - The location was excellent, but our departure was marred by a young woman's rudeness. She had greeted us warmly on arrival, but ignored us during breakfast, as did a male staff member. We opted to forgo breakfast and not leave a tip, as we shouldn't be affected by their personal issues.
Our vacation philosophy is simple: nothing can ruin our happiness. Thankfully, this was an isolated incident during our three-week stay in Chiapas, where we were consistently treated with kindness everywhere we went.
Viva Chiapas! Viva the wonderful people!
- Anais (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (10/5): Paradise - We traveled 3,000 km specifically to return to Entremares for an entire week. It did not disappoint! It is off the beaten path and summer-camp rustic. Perfect! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the food is good, and it's really amazing to be able to swim in both the ocean and the sound. This is a peaceful place that is very quiet at night. Lots of nature, hammocks for reading. For those with fragrance sensitivities, the towels and sheets have a very strong fabric softener smell; this is fairly common in Mexico. I brought my own.
- Kama (10/5): Exceptional - We had a family trip to Entremares in August 2024, traveling with a toddler and a small dog, and staying there for a whole week was absolutely dreamy. The place is as described: relaxing, disconnected, with ocean on one side and fresh water on the other. The staff were really warm, kind and made us feel welcomed and relaxed at any given time. The food and drinks at the restaurant are an absolute 10/10! Such variety of options, such that you stay there for a whole week and eat there everyday, but never get bored of the food.
It's an extremely relaxing place to be if you are looking for a place to disconnect, for time to slow down, and to take in a more rustic life with great nature views. It's also a very LGBT-friendly place, which is always amazing in allowing you to feel safe when you are going somewhere new : )
- Faith (7/5): Beautiful views - We had a beach front cabana with ocean view which was absolutely stunning. We also had our own private shower and bathroom which was amazing. It was my husband, our son and I and it was very relaxing and staff were very friendly. We took a Lil boat to get to the island and it was a short but enjoyable ride over. The food was really good and the drinks were made fresh which were nice. We played in the ocean and just had fun relaxing which is all there really is to do here so it's great for getting away from the hectic life. The only thing is we visited at the beginning of March and it was HOT and HUMID as hell! They do give you a fan to use but it doesn't help much... we were all dying from how humidity and hot it was and didn't sleep well because of how humid, but that's not their fault I would just recommend visiting during a bit of a cooler month when it's not so humid. We could only handle 1 night due to humidity and heat. (My husband is Mexican born and raised in mexico) very romantic though but if you need ac best to stay at one of the other hotels on the island. Also the net they put around the bed didn't really cover our bed all the way and left gaps everywhere and with the fan on it just made it where it wouldn't stay closed so we all got bit up by mosquitos. Again not their fault.
- Stine (9/5): Fantastisk for relaxation and enjoing the nature. the nature - I like the nature. Big ocean without a lot of people. The other side of the long island if the waves was too big. Las cabañas were so nice, bathrooms and the restaurant was so cozy and beautiful. The staff was so nice, helpfull and accommedating. And the food was very good. The only ting was that the wiifi didn’t work in my cabin (maybe it was to far away from the restaurent) But it can also be a nice thing :)
- Clea (8/5): Magical place - Magical place, ecofriendly
- Ana (9/5): Superb - Property is located in a beautiful space, food is great and good value for money. The only thing I would suggest and I know it’s not the staff fault is to organise with the guest voluntary cleans up or the beach. It’s such a beautiful location and it’s really sad that the beach is dirty
- Jiri (10/5): Perfection - In one word - Paradise. Nada
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb - The cabaña was very cute and clean. The whole property has good facilities and a good vibe. I thought the restaurant was well priced and it offered an array of options depending on your taste and price point. My only negative experience during my stay was that the ceviche had hardly any seafood in it. Mostly just tomato and red onion. All my other meals were great tho.
- Pierre (8/5): Very good - Great location. Unfortunately there were bugs in the room and on the bed that left many red bumps on our arms and face.
- Nicolas (9/5): Superb -
- Eliott (9/5): Superb -
- Lucy (10/5): It was a stay in paradise - All of the above: location, cabana accommodation, staff, food
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Amazing place! - Helpful staff, great vibe, beautiful location with an empty beach on one side and lovely lake on the other. Would definitely stay again!
- Zxrry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Álvaro (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Tianna (9/5): A beautiful location between two seas - Entremares is very picturesque and private. It is the perfect getaway to disconnect and be one with nature. The cute bungalows are very comfortable and well designed. There are a few extra nice touches like the water jugs in the rooms. The food and drinks were all very good and the staff was very welcoming. Wi-Fi and electricity was spotty but that’s to be sorta expected with the location. Another thing to note is it is on an island and a boat transfer is needed to reach the hotel.
- Melissa (10/5): a perfect place to disconnect - unique, peaceful, surrounded by beauty and nature
- Christie-jay (10/5): Exceptional - everything you have to buy everything in their Restaurnt which makes it an expensive holiday!
- Samuel (10/5): Relaxing on the beach, walking up and down the coast, kind staff, good food. - Gorgeous location, kind staff, very nice facilities. So peaceful. Nothing, it was wonderful.
- Pablo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - You stand on the beach, you look left, you look right - all you can see is.... the beach! And it's more or less yours! Behind you is Entremares, an amazing place, for sure one of our favorite places ever! 😃
We where happy with everything! Special thanks to all the crew, always so friendly and helpful!
We would have loved to stay longer but it was fully booked...
- Molly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Magdalena (9/5): Superb - - Directly on the beach
- Nice and new cabañas
- Good mosquito net around the bed - Difficult to get to, but worth the hassle
- Strict ‘don’t bring your own food’ rule, while restaurant is rather mediocre
- Quite a lot of mosquitos
- Rodrigo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (7/5): Good -
- Laura (10/5): Solid 10/10. Just astonishingly beautiful. - Solid 10/10. It was truly a privilege to spend a week at Entremares. The people who work here (especially Gloria and Suleima!) are extremely kind, down to earth, and helpful. I saw more shooting stars in one night that in my whole life combined. We loved swimming in the ocean and the estuary and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The cabaña was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We did not miss having hot water (the water comes from a tank so it's somewhat heated by the sun and was certainly not ice cold). We were really impressed with the food at the restaurant. We ate all our meals there for 8 days and never got bored. We probably tried half the menu and while we had some favorites, everything was fresh and tasty. We especially appreciated the way the staff proactively handled a dairy allergy and remembered from meal to meal. The menu is also fairly priced.
A truly beautiful place to soak up the natural world of Chiapas and one of those special places I'll never forget. The music from the restaurant was sometimes loud inside our cabaña and at the hammocks (the music woke us up at 8am sharp a couple times, and at other times it was hard to escape the bass beat to be able to read). Staff were nice about turning it down for a little while when asked. I will say that the music was varied and that they have good taste.
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Csatari (7/5): Good - Food and service from the staff was great. And perfect location, very close to the beach. Very quite. And for the extra price get a room with a bathroom,, it is worth it. They charged for every small detail. To clean the room, the boat ride to the hotel and back, to reheat my food the next day. And they have you sign a contract that you will not consume anything there that you didn't buy from them, or they will charge you for it.
- Hector (6/5): Pleasant -
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (10/5): island paradise - Entremares is so beautiful, such an amazing location and so well maintained - plus the people are all lovely
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
- Thomas (7/5): Good - It's a quite place with no other hotels and restaurants closeby.
The cabañas are cozy and clean.
Friendly and helpful staff. Whenever you want to get to or to leave the location you have to use their boat service which is about 2 mins (70mex/200mex after sunset).
- Chong (7/5): Good -
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - The location was really lovely, beautifully designed. The staff was very friendly. Some of the food was very nice. Loved the piña coladas I think we over paid for the room, especially when I was speaking to someone there that had a room in front of the beach / sea with its own toilet who paid less than us and booked later on than us. Our room said had sea view but it didn’t, and it didn’t really have a place to seat outside unless you sat in the “private garden” that had a tall fence so you couldn’t see anything. It’s a pointless garden when you are totally missing the view of the sea. Also maybe my mistake but didn’t realise until I got there that we were sharing a bathroom.
- Karen (10/5): A little taste of paradise - Feels like paradise. Fantastic location, wonderful weather even during rain season (we were here end of august/beginning september), the cabaña was beautiful and comfy, basically glamping right on the beach. Food is priced ok (80-160 mxn $ for a main course) and tasted good. Rather things to be aware of than things we disliked: The staff was very friendly, but only included very few english speakers, so at least rudimentary spanish helps.
Also, there are of course there are mosquitos, so bring repellent!
Once the "doors" are closed, the cabaña does get quite stuffy.
- Dora (5/5): you don t miss anything if you don t go - The cabana is nice. It was full os sand the next day, bats flying into the room, and noone cleaned it.
- Byrne (10/5): Exceptional - Food was delicious, cabana was beautiful, location idyllic and peaceful and staff super friendly and helpful. No Internet which maybe wasn't a bad thing!
