Lovely room with superb view and very comfortable. Everything I could wish for provided. Very good choice of foods available in the room for a continental breakfast but I am not keen on breakfast in bed or on my knee.

My fault for not reading the details properly - sadly there’s no bath - but Kim and Richard make up for that with their heartwarming willingness to be flexible and accommodating attitude. 🥰 Oh - and the blue light in the fridge, though very pretty, can actually be switched off independently from the fridge itself 🤪

• Virginia (10/5): Very lovely hosts and a beautiful room in a country setting - Kim and Richard were fantastic hosts. They went out of their way and even picked us up from the train station. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and lots of pillows. It was also beautifully decorated, as is the entire place. The breakfast offering was also very complete. The views out of the windows of the rural countryside are lovely. Stonehill is in a rural location and there is nothing that can be reached easily on foot.

They gave us such a warm welcome with tea and mince pies and they couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. The views from the French doors were stunning and so relaxing. The bathroom was very well equipped and the bed super comfy. This was all topped off with an array of high quality treats, drinks and breakfast items - we felt thoroughly spoiled! • Janet (10/5): Free parking, well positioned, spotlessly clean, welcoming b&b. Excellent WiFi. Superb breakfast - This is one of the best B & Bs we have stayed in, and certainly the nicest of hosts. Kim and Richard felt like friends. The welcome to their well positioned, beautiful, spotless home, was lovely. Communication prior was first rate. Advice whilst there excellent when you needed them, privacy when you didn’t. They have it 100% right. Every positive review here is true. Free, spacious and easy parking. Quiet location, with marvellous countryside views and an excellent pub, the Royal Exchange, just along the road. Our room was large, calm, comfortable, beautifully decorated and fitted out. The shower room too, spotless. Quality fittings and bed linen. Excellent WiFi. Great care and thought taken with everything. We looked forward to returning after a very busy day and felt completely at home, in our warm, welcoming room. We slept like logs. To call the breakfast continental was an understatement. I could write a whole paragraph just on that. So much choice and quality. Great value stay. A very special place. We visited Cheltenham, Gloucester and its marvellous cathedral and Tewkesbury with its stunning Abbey. Easy access from the B & B. Having to leave and I think we may always feel just a little disappointed wherever else we stay.

A special request for bedding was kindly honoured. Good recommendation for a place to eat an evening meal. The sloping ceilings needed caution - only a small negative though. The breakfast items are in the room on check in, and there is a fridge with supplies, and a microwave/toaster/coffee maker to use.

• Llanarmonlass (9/5): A very Comfortable Overnight Stay - Kim and Richard were in touch with me beforehand to check our arrival time and give guidance on how to find the property. They upgraded us to the more expensive room with the Juliet balcony, I forgot to take a look at the original room booked. The room and en suite were in the roof space of the bungalow. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning, I forgot to check the manufacturer - I want one!! I slept very well with the tower fan going throughout the night as it was very hot. The continental breakfast and extra goodies left in the fridge for us were a lovely surprise. Also lots of coffee/tea options. Initially I thought it was a bit pricy, but if you add up all you are given, it isn't. You get what you pay for. Kim and Richard have put a lot of thought into making Hillvine a lovely comfortable place to stay, they are very friendly and hospitable, but give you space and privacy unless you want to socialise or use their garden. The road was very busy in the day, it was an exceptionally hot day/night so the windows had to be left open. It must have quietened down at night though, because I slept very well.

Great attention to detail. We appreciated the delicious cake and tea on arrival and all the goodies for breakfast. • Scott (10/5): Great value, friendly hosts, comfy clean room with good facilities. - Friendly and communicative hosts that went out of the way to make the stay friendly and comfortable. We ended up with the larger of the two rooms and it was roomy, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had lots of facilities - a big TV, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, in room fridge plus tables, chairs and storage (including a hand steamer and fans) and en-suite toilet and shower. Breakfast was continental in the room, helping yourself to fresh milk, yoghurt, bread, butter, pastries, fruit plus a selection of granola and jam / marmalade and a range of teas and coffees. Good view too - the doors opened onto a field full of trees and cows. A great nights sleep, leisurely breakfast and fantastic value for money - we would happily use them again if heading over to Gloucester or Cheltenham. Almost perfect - maybe swap one of the granolas for a box of cornflakes for extra choice?

The view from the rooms were breath taking and my daughters were delighted they could watch the field with horses with their foals from their beds! Nothing!! Everything was just perfect!

• Ruth (10/5): We were so well looked after! - We had a lovely comfy couple of nights at Hillvine - the bed was so comfy and cosy; there were plentiful towels in two colours so we knew which was who's (genius), excellent telly options (we particularly liked the sea creatures calming video Kim had put on for us on our arrival!); marvellous continental breakfast selection including a fancy coffee machine (although we're not coffee drinkers - I can see that's a plus if you are!), microwave oven, toaster and mini-fridge and, best of all, we were greeted so warmly by Kim and Richard and made to feel so welcome, and like nothing was too much trouble. This is a great play to stay if you need to be in Hartpury or anywhere in the vicinity. That's tricky... let me think... The one thing missing in the room was tissues (I like a box of tissues in the room), but I'm willing to bet that if we'd have asked they've have been provided!

The rooms were all so nice with a brilliant selection of breakfast foods and drinks provided in your room. Generous continental breakfast in room is excellent and replenished daily. An excellent stay, we would be more than happy to return! Nothing. It was all great.
