- Mummy's motor (9/5): -
- anthony (10/5): brilliant quirky place - fantastic quirky will be back nothing
- Priscilla (10/5): peaceful and comfortable - Technology was A+, towel warmer rack, heated flooring, comfy and well stocked living/kitchen, mood lighting A blender in kitchen would've been nice (for us americans that love smoothies in the morning)
- Maria (9/5): - Really beautiful property, seamless checkin - so comfortable and spacious. Lovely family room, communal spaces are really lovely
- Lesley (10/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Kevin (10/5): Siblings Trip - What a place, it had EVERYTHING You could possibly need. Definitely going back! Nothing, it is heaven.
- Maika (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): Overall, good place - Very nicely located with on-site free parking! The facilities itself was very nice and aesthetically pleasing. They have free laundry and have a kitchen to use if desired. The room had some nice features like a touch-screen lights and room code. It was very hot when we were there and there was no a/c or fan. Which I understand a/c is abnormal in hotels in Ireland but a ceiling fan would have been really nice given they had a bunch of fancy technology for the lights/room otherwise.

- Michelle (8/5): - Beautifully decorated.
Bed was incredibly comfortable.
Enjoyed the laid back kitchen and being able to use the washer/dryer. Our room had an unpleasant odor. But we called the staff Matt and he immediately moved us to 2 new rooms no questions asked.
- Josephine (9/5): Relaxing - Beautiful historical building, with careful attention to modern updates. Would like to have had instructions for operating the coffee maker.
- Tamerra (10/5): Grateful we found Stay Lagom. We felt very welcome and enjoyed all the property had to offer. Would highly recommend! - Great style, atmosphere and location. Great host and beautiful property. Gorgeous inside and out.
- Alessandra (10/5): Delightful stay at this quirky b&b - Stunning and unique property, decorated to high standards. Lovely communal kitchen with a selection of complimentary breakfast items. Quiet location. Nothing.
- Damian (10/5): The most amazing property! Stay even longer if you can. - The family room was perfect. Kids loved the bunks. The communal spaces and kitchen are world class.
- Brendan (10/5): Will not hesitate to stay here again! - Lagom is a beautifully restored old house, on the outskirts of Ballycastle. The attention to detail is exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What we particularly liked was the well stocked larder and fridge, in the thoughtfully designed, spacious communal kitchen, so that we were able to have some breakfast before catching our ferry to Rathlin Island. Not one single thing.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Room and kitchen space was really cool Smell of damp and bunk bed mattress not very comfortable- main Bed was really comfy
- Adam (8/5): Very good - The giant bed was extremely comfortable, the living room and kitchen in the common areas were spectacular and I would live here. The shower was lovely as well. Gardens were beautiful. Library and game area is a lovely , unexpected addition. Really really lovely spot. The few items left for the free breakfast were stale.
- Robin (10/5): Phenomenal - Fantastic property and experience. Very high spec (modern, automatic lights/ speakers everywhere), clean, very very well decorated. Great communal spaces - kitchen to a professional standard, and living room with projector TV. I really cannot fault anything. A lot of care and attention put into the décor of the property - it's one of a kind in Northern Ireland let alone in Ballycastle/ the North coast.
- Andrew (10/5): Stay lagom is great - Really modern facilities with lovely rooms I guess with an almost alpine feel, within easy walking distance of the town for dinner. Etc. Nothing negative.
- Dan (10/5): Modern, Clean, and Peaceful! - A first ever 10/10!
Absolutely brilliant stay!
An excellent way to mix rustic countryside living with modern technology, PIN code provided securely via SMS hands free check in and a rain shower I just didn’t want to get out of.
The property has some really lovely places to chill and read a book!
All within minutes of Ballycastle!
Awesome job folks I look forward to my next stay!
- Emily (10/5): Beautiful place, perfect for a holiday stay - This place far exceeded my expectations. It was an excellent value for the price -- beatuiful property, well-maintained, cozy and welcoming, with attention to detail in the decor and design. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked, and the living room and game room were so comfortable and relaxing. Would highly recommend! The walk was a little long from downtown and it took us a while to find the place.
- Colette (10/5): Very relaxing - Breakfast was lovely and healthy. We liked the views from the kitchen living room windows. Our room was just right for us , comfortable beds and lovely seating area. We had lots of space for clothes etc-best we have experienced and we do lots of self catering holidays all over UK N/a
- Katie (10/5): Absolutely gem of ballycastle - Staff were amazing! After a wee hickup with booking Matt couldn't of been more helpful with getting everything sorted. The place was beautiful, even better than the photos made it out. Facilities were brilliant, wish we had stayed longer to make use of them!
- Mary (10/5): Fantastic find- would highly recommend - Very cool decor. Lovely conversion of old house. Very quiet. All modern comforts and tech. Communal area was amazing. Would have liked to be able to stay longer
- Chris (10/5): Stay Lagom 082024 - Peaceful and modern rooms and communal areas.
- Peter (9/5): Beautiful renovated mansion with very comfortable rooms and shared kitchen and living room - Beautiful and very comfortable mansion. Renovated with lots of eye for detail. Shared living room and kitchen. Spacious rooms. The mansion is located at very quite place at the village border. Nothing
- Rozanna (10/5): Ideal spot in ballycastle - Easy check in, perfect for someone who wants a comfortable, stylish and private place to stay.
- Jason (10/5): Modern, quiet, and close to the town, and beach - Exceptional Everything
- Holger (10/5): More than lagom - We toured Ireland for two weeks, resting every other night in a different B+Bs. StayLagom was by far the best accommodation we stayed in. Although “Lagom” means something like “just right” in swedish as we found out, we felt like getting more than we paid for. The communication with the host was lagom - not intrusive nor repellent (as we experienced before). After we let ourselves in via electronic key lock we received a massage later that night asking if we settled in fine - just lagom for us. The size of the bed and its mattress was more than lagom. This was unfortunate, because we overslept and could not take advantage of the large kitchen area provided to the extent we would have liked due to the checkout time. The kitchen area provided (among others) fresh bred that actually tasted good - free use. The manor house was apparently freshly renovated. This was obviously done by someone with knowledge in the field of architecture, interior design and landscaping. Too bad we could only stay for a night.
- Dean (8/5): Very good -
- Shiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne-lea (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - A wonderful accommodation with attention to detail. The kitchen and communal lounge are just as great as the cozy, modern rooms.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Gillespie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (10/5): Absolutely wonderful experience beautifully finished - Simply stunning Georgian house Nothing
- Linda (10/5): The hotel was fantastic. - Lovely Nothing
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): got my trip to Ireland off the best start possible. - very modern but with a touch of the past, classy and spacious, and so comfortable. clearly, a lot of effort went into the design and I certainly appreciated it.
I would stay there again if return and so hope to do! there were no serviettes in the kitchen, which I think is to keep waste to a minimum. also, no clothes to dry the dishes when used. these are very minor and do not detract from the stay.
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were excellent with late night communication over a Late check in by myself
- Andreja (8/5): Very good - We were staying in the 6-bed room/ dorm with friends. The room is big enough, clean and the bathroom is well maintained. Beds are dormitory style, but ok to sleep (comparing to other N. Ireland hotels). Sound isolation is poor, therefore you are hearing people from other rooms. The light switching on every time someone stands up is annoying in the night. The 6-bed room is in the basement, therefore the floor is very cold, but else the room temperature was fine.
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (10/5): Luxury retreat style family vacation - The interior decor was superb and in such beautiful surroundings. The extra living space was ideal for our family of 4 and location handy to town and beach. The owners put a lot of thought into little perks with honesty Box and environmental friendly utilities Nothing really we didnt like but was a little noisy when people were upstairs making breakfast at 6.30am!
