Guest Reviews
- justin (10/5): - It was close to all amenities and beautiful apartment Nothing to dislike
- Debbie (8/5): Fantastic stay - It was a lovely flat, really central, would use again Garden could have been done, and some garden furniture would be great, as it was boiling when we were there but couldn’t sit out, but other than that great
- Michelle (10/5): Very comfortable, tastefully decorated and in a good location. - Really nice property, very comfortable and had everything you could need to make a pleasant stay. It was exceptionally hot at the weekend and would have been nice to have a fan (not a normal necessity for the UK) so understandable that there wasn't one. Parking out the back was fine, although it wasn't clear if the space was for one flat or two and there were lots of weeds but it was a good space to be able to use. Nothing it was really nice.
- Gary (9/5): Superb - The property was well presented and just what we need as a family of three. The communication before arrival was spot on and clear. No problems with access.
The little extras of tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, butter and Welsh cakes made the stay spot on.
Would definitely return when visiting friends again. Nothing
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Easy check-in, great communication prior to & during our stay. Spotlessly clean and even some bread, wine, butter, milk, juice & welsh cakes were provided for our stay. In the heart of the town and a couple of blocks from the beach front. Great place to use as a base to explore the area. Only 35 mins to Cardiff airport which was helpful for us. Nothing.
- Jo (8/5): A comfortable, warm, well presented ground floor flat close to harbour, shops and beaches. - Smart inside and clean. Excellent WiFi which I needed for work. Kitchen had most things and there was a bottle of wine, milk and butter in the fridge, Welsh cakes, bread and food in freezer we could have if we wanted. Nice bathroom. The door in the lounge was falling off the hinge. We couldn't use the car parking space around the back on the first day cos someone was using it. There wasn't a dish cloth or brush to wash up so we used a teatowel.
- Odonnell (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable place clean and everything in the apartment
- Helen (9/5): A lovely stay - Property as described with most things that you would expect available. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen area . A few bits of groceries to welcome you are an appreciated and a lovely touch . A great location for all that Porthcawl can offer and everything in the town and beaches is within walking distance . When parked up we didn’t move the car until we left . Even though the owners had told us the garden was basic and going to be done out this year it was disappointing not to have any garden furniture. It’s a lovely space and it would have been lovely to sit out with a cuppa as the weather was pleasant.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - close to town centre great location weekend awayw all great no problem would stay againclo
- Jerry (8/5): Very good -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cosy place, some bread wine and other items that was a nice touch. Only negative was the 2 single beds that made a double other wise it would of been perfect
- Sarah (7/5): Great location & comfy bed. Ok for a one night stay - A great location, very close to the town and the beaches. Bed was comfortable although it is two singles together so there's a split down the middle. Host gave us plenty of information to enable an easy check-in and an early check-in was also made available for us. Plenty of towels, cushions and reasonable bedding, all nice and clean. For us, the lack of any view was a serious downside to this property. It is a ground-floor flat converted from a house and the main window which is in the lounge, looks directly onto a wall, meaning the property as a whole is quite dark and claustrophobic. There is a 2-seater sofa, but the flat sleeps 4 - not a problem for us, but if there are 4 of you the only place for 2 of you to sit is at the dining table (which seats 6 and is a bit of overkill with chairs...!). The property as a whole requires a good clean (from the front entrance onwards which is pretty scruffy) and a better finish overall for me to give it a higher rating. We used the washing machine and had to clean the extremely clogged filter before it would drain - small things like this have been overlooked in the cleaning.
The lack of recycling facilities was also a HUGE no from us - we've had to take our recycling home with us! Very unusual to not have split recycling, just a black bin bag.
It was ok for our stay, but I probably wouldn't return - ok for a one night stay.
- Stephanie (9/5): Excellent value & great location - The outside didn’t look great but inside excellent. Didn’t need much interaction with the owners but that’s compliments to the property. Tea coffee bread & milk all provided. Lovely touch. Duvet, sheets etc spotless and extremely comfortable Neighbours a little noisy.
Beds a little small but that’s cos we are used to large beds at home.
- Nicola (9/5): Superb - The location was good for the town, the Co op for self catering, and the beach about 5 mins 🙂.
The host was excellent at answering emails, and very helpful over and above.
Well equipped kitchen with welcoming food and drink. It was spotless.
Two parking spaces at the rear, however we found free parking right opposite the front door.
- Dadrie (8/5): Very good -
- Lynette (10/5): On the whole the best place to stay. Had everything we wished for - The starfish was spotless, there was a washing machine, tv with Netflix, the beds were so comfortable. They supplied tea coffee, milk butter, jams, all the essentials that you usually have to take with you, very pleased with the accommodation, best place Iv stayed in and
Will definitely be going back. The host was so helpfull and easy to contact. 10/10 excellent There was nothing that we didn’t like. Even a space to park the car.
- Lee (10/5): Thank you ! -
- Terri (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - Everything perfect The noisey upstairs
- Wendy (9/5): We had my 20 month old granddaughter with us, and the adde little touches of pencils and paper were a lovely idea, also - It was a lovely apartment, everything you needed was there and shops just around the corner. Clean and well set out, back garden space was a bonus! Just the parking on arrival, had to park 2 streets away, but I think that was down to the time of day. We had no trouble parking after that.
