- André (3/5): Poor value for money. There’s no excuse for not supplying hot water at that price point. - Impeccably clean: rooms, kitchen, bathroom and textiles were irreproachable. Superb location. Fairly big unit, nice courtyard outside, great views, a/c in the bedroom. Very little noise from the village road, ample free public parking space 20 metres away. Friendly hungry cats roaming about. Shower water is cold, cold-tepid at best. Strong smell of soot from the wood stove chimney on a windy day. WiFi connection is erratic: typically one minute on, then a few minutes off. No mobile phone coverage (Cosmote). Keys are not handed over in person but left in a key box… which requires a code to open, and a phone call to the owner to get the code, and since there’s no phone signal, you’ll have to walk until you do get a signal… very poorly organised, settling in was not a relaxed experience, quite the opposite.
- Annaky (9/5): Superb - Great place with lots of space. We stayed in the apartment on the right which has a nice terasse with view to the sea. Communication with host could be better.
- Viola (10/5): A charming and relaxing place between the mountains and the sea. - This place is simply magical. We loved everything about it, from the position, overlooking the sea, to the nicely decorated interiors. This beautiful stone house is surrounded by olive trees and it is a real paradise if you look for a relaxing holiday in a charming Cretan country house. The house has been recently refurbished and the interiors are lovely, the shower is great, the bed is very comfy and so is the well equipped kitched. The exterior is very romantic and we loved eating breakfast and dinner on the big stone table. I really can't wait to go back to Chelidonofolia!
