Guest Reviews
- Joanna (9/5): Comfortable, cosy and scenic. - Excellent location, lovely cottage, welcome pack very much appreciated. Swimming pool a big bonus. The shower in the bathroom.
- Hussain (9/5): Superb -
- Mary (4/5): Can't overstate what a let down this stay was. - Lovely location, plenty to do nearby if you have a car. Cottages look pretty from the outside. Shop is handy if a little expensive. Man on front desk was helpful to a degree when concerns were raised. Play park and barbecue facilities on site which would be great for families. Hairdryer stopped working after a few minutes of use, sounded like a rocket launch, this was replaced pretty quickly with a brand new hairdryer. Man in shop was understanding about a broken glass, which was due to hot water from kitchen tap being scalding. Faeces stained clothing left in washing machine left by previous guests no offer for cleaning products let alone for management to clean this so we naturally did not want to use washing machine. Hand prints left in several places, mirror, front door and TV, Covid-19 considerations clearly minimal. One of the rooms is very small with a lower double upper single bunk bed leaving no space. WiFi is rather weak. The pool (which was the reason we booked) is shared with 27 other properties, this is not reflected anywhere in property summary. In fact I was advised it does not state the pool is private when I raised this, I have a screen grab of property info to show otherwise. This means that for a three day stay we had two 45 minute sessions, which I feel is ridiculous, especially as this includes changing, drying off time. When I raised this on line I feel the responses to this complaint were somewhat terse. No tea, coffee, sugar left which I believe is a bare minimum expectation for booking a cottage costing in excess of £800. I simply could never recommend this place to anyone, and please note I have never left a negative review for any stay I've ever had, booking.com or otherwise. Given the experience I've had with this booking I expect no response whatsoever by way of smoothing this let down over.
