Guest Reviews
- Mari (9/5): Superb -
- Antroyton (8/5): Very good -
- Witt (9/5): Sunny brake in friendly atmosphere - , friendly environment, rooftop , guitar , drum and most of all people It actually wasn’t the property but stairs leading to it from the main street, very high , although good exercises
- Brecht (9/5): This place somehow brings some inspiring people together - Amazing vibe with great people, inspiring evenings on the roof terrace. Mother of the family rules the kitchen together with the girls from the hostel, they know what they do. Nasser can take you on surftrips, to the mountains, zouk, advice on board rental or surfspots and so on. 5 minutes via the stairs to Aourir central street, 15min to the beach.
- Lilly (10/5): Exceptional - The guys at Kosasurf made us feel like at home. Great food, great location, great surfing, great community. We had the most amazing time and really would love to come back at some stage. Thanks to all of you xxx
- Dorina (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice clean and cozy, sweet people
- Valentina (9/5): Superb - Unfortunately there was some sort of problem with the booking. However, everything was fixed real quickly and we were transfered to nearby apartment, and we had the whole place to ourselves. I would have loved to be able to stay at the hostel because it looked really cute, and good vibes, but the solution they got us was nice as well, because we lots of privacy to rest after a long day of train trips.

- Luca (9/5): cozy, easy going, traditional and Surf oriented. - We had a really nice stay here.
We got really good traditional Food as breakfast and dinner. We also went to different surfspots after breakfast and got taken care of nicely. Very home like environment with a place to leave your board so it doesnt lay around in the room. The rooms were also very clean and cosy. Can only recommend to stay here, Nasser and his team made our stay very comfortable.
- Řezníček (10/5): Exceptional - It was just amazing! Very cheap, clean and on a nice place. The terrace is great and the host very kind!
- Tallulah (2/5): Not as advertised - Clean We had booked a three bedroom apartment and when we arrived they weren’t answering the phone, despite us advising we would be late, causing us to sleep in the car. When we finally got through to the guy at 8am, he advised there was no 3 bedroom apartment. There was also no hot water.
- Oleg (9/5): Superb - Nice bed, hospital team, friendly atmosphere Big stairs as hotel is on the hill
- Lore (8/5): Nice, friendly hostel with good vibe - Great atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful place with a rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean (you can check the waves from the terrace)
- Eric (10/5): In short: You won’t regret staying here. - I stayed with Kosasurf for four whole days in February. I travelled solo but it never felt like I was on my own. The guys from Kosa are so welcoming. On my second day the host invited me on a trip to Tamraght where we had some tea. I chose to walk the way back and had the chance to see a beautiful sunset at the beach.
I also had amazing surflessons. Within three days I went from surfing the whitewash to trying to surf green waves in the line up.
We had amazing healthy Moroccan breakfast, lunch and dinner. What I liked was that we always ate together on the beautiful rooftop terrace which has an awesome view.
I chose to stay on the rooftop at night for a little while longer while most people went to bed. I ended up having some deep talks with the brother of the host until 1:30 in the morning.
The yoga teacher who stayed for quite some time at Kosasurf was amazing too. We got along really well and it was always fun to talk to her. I wanted to go to Taghazout and she came along. She has seen a lot of the world and it was always really nice to hear what she had to say.
This was an amazing trip. It gave me the chance to really relax after a couple stressful months in Germany. Talking to the people was an awesome experience as it helped me gain a different perspective on certain aspects in life. Nothing of high importance. One of the showers only had cold water but there is another one which had warm water. One day there weren’t a lot of people staying at the accommodation which is why there wasn’t any dinner prepared. We went to one of the local restaurants nearby instead which was fine by me.
- Brian (8/5): Salam alaikum bro - Very friendly, fun and open. They will look after you well. Great if you like surfing, great if you don't! Wifi in the rooms rather than just the terrace would be helpful so I could get work done in my room and then be more sociable on the terrace.
- Zoe (9/5): Relaxing week 🌞 - The view is marvellous. Its a great quality and good energy over there. I m quite inteoverted and i dont talk much but i could still feel the good atmosphere around. It feels really cosy and homie. You have to walk up some stairs to get to the hostel, note that in case you have big luggages.
Its a bit noisy but as most places over here.
- Boyce (10/5): So lovely, so comfortable and so fun! - Nassa is an amazing host! I have never met anyone so generous, caring, and hospitable. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is stoked on life and stoked on the waves. The property itself is clean, comfortable and really feels like home. I will be back <3
- Bárbara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Conor (10/5): Exceptional - Such a fantastic hostel. We could only stay one night, but will be back for sure. There was a great vibe, the place was spotless and the views were sensational. We'll be back :) Nothing at all :)
- Zoe (10/5): Everyone is so helpful! The bed was so comfy we found it hard to get up in the mornings & everyone was so friendly & - Clean
Friendly
- Monica (10/5): Amazing people, nice stay, beatiful place - La hospitalidad Nada
- Steffen (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful little guesthouse with a chilled vibe. Nasser, who runs the place, is a super nice guy. Would stay there any time.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - Spotlessly clean place with a lovely roof terrace. The area is not as touristy as other nearby places but there are loads of local shops and restaurants nearby.
- Janett (9/5): authentic place to stay, surf and feel welcomed in morocco - Our stay at kosasurf instantly made us dive into real morocco: the lifestyle, the surrounding, the daily-changing awesome delicious food and all the little details. That was exactly what we were looking for: not a usual hotel, but an real authentic place to stay and feel welcomed. Nasser is super attentive and tries everything to make things possible. It was a blast <3 we'll come back for more surfing-sessions!
- Māra (10/5): Exceptional - Nasser is a great host, very kind and friendly. The surf house itself has a lovely vibe with everyone gathering on the roof terrace for breakfast and dinner and then just talking and enjoying mint tea.
My room was beautifully decorated in light blue shade, had a large, comfy bed, and I appreciate the extra blankets.
I also heard very good feedback from other guests about the surf lessons Nasser organises; unfortunately, I wasn’t able to enjoy them myself due to a cold. The shared bathrooms were a bit small, and the shower was positioned right next to the toilet, but it was a minor inconvenience.
Be aware that there are steep stairs that need to be climbed to access the surf house from the town center - it is not necessarily a drawback, but might be challenging for travellers with limited mobility. On the other hand, it’s a good extra workout for surfers. 🙂
- Bangs (8/5): Very good -
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Nasser is the best host you can imagine! Had a great time at kosasurf.
- Marek (6/5): Pleasant - The breakfast was ok, tasty and fine. The room itself okay as well and the place has great view to the valley, the sea and the city street. I guess one needs more positive vibes than I do :) there was a lively discussion on the terrace which was way too audible to let us fall asleep, the host was a bit foregetting to bring us towel and tell us when to get the breakfast. But for the price, why not...
- Liudmila (10/5): 🩵 - It’s clean great place with wonderful people. And so tasty dinner. The surf instructor was very nice🤗 I recommend👌
- Rodrigobanfield (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dries (9/5): Moroccan hospitality at it’s finest. - Nasser is the best host. Super friendly and easy going person. Loves to show you around, helps you decide where to go surf and makes sure you have the best possible holiday. Ask him anything, he’ll be happy to help.
The food is amazing, both breakfast & dinner!
- Clara (10/5): Here you will find a family. - I couldn't be more grateful to Kosa surfcamp and their entire team. I was traveling alone and, after a bad experience at another surfcamp, I found a real family here. Nassar always has a smile on his face, always ready to help, give you a hug and make you feel good. The accommodation is very comfortable, warm, clean and close to all the surf spots. Now I know where to go every time I go to Morocco to surf. Everything is perfect.
- Othmane (10/5): The best surf week holiday in my life 🤩 - The vibe at Kosa’s place is all what I was looking for. Very peaceful location, amazing view from the room, and a lot of cool people. I arrived alone and I left with tens of friends after a week. Delicious food, surf instructor are a 10 and everything is chilled. Everything was perfect for me
- Matthew (10/5): The most beautiful sunset and view I’ve ever seen, day after day. A home away from home - The property has one of the most beautiful views in all of this area from Taghazout to Anza. It is a little away from the touristy area but to be honest that’s what makes it so much better. Aourir village is a beautiful little untouched gem compared to Tamraght and taghazout. The staff were incredible. Never in all my stays in Morocco (9 and counting) have I met a person as kind, caring and selfless as Nasser and his team follow in his footsteps. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to surf and get the full experience. Having a car in this area is ideal however there’s local taxi at the bottom of the stairs and some beautiful little traditional food gems with some of the best food I’ve eaten in Morocco I couldn’t spend longer here!
- Annabelle (10/5): Insanely beautiful, great location and huge vibes. - Such a beautifully decorated place, feels very authentic Moroccan and very homely. Rooms are beautiful, I had two big windows looking out to the ocean and town as well as my own balcony. Perfect for sunset. Rooftop area is amazing too.
Host was incredibly generous and helpful, we went for a surf as he does surf lessons too, and had the most amazing day. 12/10
- Maximilian (10/5): Awesome surfing conditions, a super friendly host and an authentic marroccanian experience :) - A nice location with an awesome rooftop and amazing view. You can easily walk to banana point and enjoy awesome marroccanian food in the town of Awrir. Nasser will make sure that you feel welcome and catch the best waves in the area! -
